Seablip in its current state is not a big game, but I hope you can have some fun! I have added a second island you can visit in the alpha, but there is no need to look hard for those secret islands yet..
The enemy can be quite difficult if you encounter a bigger ship. A good progression system is not really added yet, and I see most of the battle mechanics as a work in progress. Please feel free to give me feedback on what you like, and what you wish for in the future. Despite that sea battle can be hard, I believe you have a decent chance to win a fight or two if that is what you want.
(The icy environment is not represented in the alpha, but will play a big part in the end)
Feedback on the Alpha test

Are you tired of constantly buying copper from other cities? Well, now you won’t have to!
Along with plenty of small improvements and features that will come with our upcoming major 1.1 updates, it will include a new structure where your city, given the map has copper deposits, can excavate copper - Copper Mines!
We’re currently working on some amazing features to include in the 1.1 updates so be sure to join us on Discord for more Nebuchadnezzar news. You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to hear about such future updates too!
There are many ways in which we’d like to bring you closer to the world of Braided Shore - in music, travel guide and lore readers of this post have come to know how it feels to live in its woods and wilds and to travel its age old roads. But there’s no better way to understand a land than by listening to its people, and in this week’s post we hear a little bit about life for four of the region’s denizens. Below, a Travelling Merchant, Historian, Farmer and Bandit give us their views on how life is for them. We think you’ll find that there’s much to ruminate on in the hopes and fears that their words reveal.
We hope you enjoy your acquaintance with them- please do say hello and drop your thoughts in the comments section, they are always well received!
Magdra, a travelling merchant
"The road is long but my pack of trade goods is light - I can ill-afford ample stock. Unless I spy a possible customer I keep my eyes and my nose to the sides of the road. Now and again a little something to eat appears among the bushes and the undergrowth like a Sefra’s bounty. Now and again I meet someone who is looking to trade for something. Like my grandfather taught me, I keep little samples of the things I have to trade hanging from my pack in little colourful strings so that wayfarers might readily spot them. I am so very hungry all the time, and my legs ache along with the soles of my feet. But I know of a Nomad’s rest some way up ahead, and who knows maybe some Wind-spun luck will be lingering there. It is a long road, but it is my home. And should I settle in some bountiful place, I know I would soon get homesick."
History Professor Myrak of Rivenleaf
"Yes, the university City of Rivenleaf is a site to behold for sure. But I prefer to muddy my sandals in the field, digging in the dirt and lost ruins for the truth. Sadly, a large part of my time lately is spent in the teahouses, trying in vain to open the eyes of the faculty professors to the implications of my findings in the Potter’s Field and the emerging revelations in the writings on the Maratesh shards! I’m most upended at how the old professors refuse to support new discoveries. That they value the comfort of their reputations as experts rather than embrace curiosity over new evidence is a disgrace to our profession. Knotting these lines, I now realise how I’ve wasted my time. I will grab my shovel and join my servants in the Potter’s Field! Thank you for helping me realise where the true value of my work lies!"
Mijha, a grain farmer from Myr
"It’s hard work drawing bounty from the earth. We must spend most of our daylight hours tending the fields, keeping only the dark of morning and evening to tend to ourselves. But though hard, there is a feeling of security in the strict repetition of each day, and each evening's rest is a welcome reward. We enjoy good food, with vegetables and meats traded with our neighbours, taken with the hum of song and pipe of the family’s music making. I feel fortunate to live in these times, where the climate is mild, the wardens keep the beasts of the wild from our doors and the tax burden is fair for all. The old folk reminds us it has not always been so, and the wiser among us try to set something by for a future that may not be as kind as the present."
Ezra of The Broken Lantern Gang
"I used to work one of the wool carders in the Milomak Weavery. I had seven younger siblings and parents who seemed to take me for granted. Every day I felt the monotony crush me little by little. Every day the same work, the same people, the same places - like eating gruel at every meal. One day I broke away, walked into the forest and wandered. I guess I got lucky - a group scooped me up before the woods took me - the Broken Lantern Gang. We are banded together now, like-minded and free! The carding made my arms strong and I am good with a blade. Tomorrow we might clash with some nasty bandit gang, the next day we’ll lighten the purse and knapsack of some overfed merchant. I might be taken by a warden but what does it matter? Today I'm the hammer and the world the anvil. Tomorrow the roles might change."
Travellers, thanks again for spending your time getting to know Braided Shore. The world is growing so fast now and early access is a place not too far away - just a few months! If you like our game we'd be very grateful for any sharing you could do to help it on its way to the big wide world this summer. We've made some handy buttons below to make it easy for you.
Thanks again and best of wishes from us all here in Stockholm!
The T in TMO signals an alternative to the more common industry standard MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) putting 'tiny' in the place of 'massive'. That means fewer meetings, which we think means more magic... Read more here: What is a TMORPG?!
Revealing the Early Access World
Later this year Book of Travels will be available for Early Access on Steam. In Chapter Zero parts of the Braided Shore will be open, and among the places to visit is the gem of the region – the city of Kasa. Read more here.

As the development progresses, we are closer to switching the upcoming update 0.8.4. to internal test branch to make it available for internal testers. It will probably be a matter of weeks to get there and then to public test branch.
Hello Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R players, we have recently pushed a new update to the release version of the game. These changes were already available in the public test branch, now you don’t need to switch to that branch anymore.
The summarized update log is as follows:
Features
New (extensive) training dummy options
Multiple recording slots
Which slot is played can be selected on the pause screen in training mode. 4 slots are available, with the additional playback options of "random" (any filled recording slot), or "rotate" (stepping through the filled recording slots in order)
Added an ability to clear previously recorded memory slot: press select during recording. Slot will be considered empty and will not be used in random/rotate playback.
New "Playback mode" item controls exactly how the dummy executes the recording
The "normal" option functioned as previous
The "autoflip" option corrects for side-switching
The "instant" option skips any idle, walking, and crouching at the beginning of the replay, and executes the first attack, jump, or dash option immediately- including special moves!
New "Stun Resist" item
When turned on, gives you control over whether or not, or how easy, the training dummy is to stun
New "Stun Reset" item
When turned on, resets the training dummy's stun value when they exit hitstun
New State options: "Low attack", and "Memory"
The "low attack" option causes the training dummy to periodically perform a character-specific low attack
The "memory" option causes the training dummy to periodically perform the currently selected recording. If the currently selected recording is random, it plays back a random recording.
State Repeat
"State repeat" allows you to control how often the dummy repeats its various actions
Reversal Action
"Reversal action" allows you to set up several reversal training mode settings:
The "Attack", "Jump", "Dash Back", "Dash Forward", and "Throw" options cause the dummy to immediately perform the respective actions when exiting hitstun or blockstun.
The "memory" option causes the training dummy to play back the currently selected recording. If the currently selected recording is random, it plays back a random recording.
The "random" option selects from all of the above
Reversal Type
New option: Reversal Type. Values: All / Guard / Hit / Wakeup.
Other new options:
New Guard option: "Random"
New "Guard Balance Reset" option, when turned on, immediately resets the dummy's guard balance to 0 after they exit blockstun
New "Auto Psych Burst" option, when turned on, causes the dummy to burst (if it has the meter to do so) on guard, on hit, or randomly
New "Burst Delay" option affects how long the dummy will wait after blocking or hitting before bursting
New "Dead Angle" option, when turned on, causes the dummy to perform a dead angle (if it has the meter to do so) either on guard or randomly
New replay features:
Input display
Option to hide P1/P2/Both usernames
Rewind support
Pause support, with frame by frame view
Take Control option: ability to take over as P1/P2 at any point in the replay
New option added to Controller Settings, Input: Original/Lenient
When using Lenient Input, keyboard and hitbox players will notice an improvement, as fast inputs (<1f) are no longer ignored. Only half-circles are affected by this change. This setting is applied online too!
Other new features
Users can now press Y before entering network mode to run the performance test on their system. The game must perform well on P1 and P2 side for a good netplay experience. If you see a lot of teleporting despite stable ping and low jitter, please run the performance test to make sure the game is performing well on your end.
Performance test results are now a simpler score breakdown
Performance test now offers performance recommendations for systems that don't pass the test
Borderless display mode added, enables users to have better system support for alt-tabbing
Added new credits "GGPO UPDATE" to the Staff Roll Gallery
Bugfixes:
Fix a desync created by the "afterimage" effect used by high jumps (and other attacks such as Potemkin's Judge Gauntlet)
Fix a possible crash when the game is closed
Fix a possible crash on Windows 7 and up when Windows displays a request for admin permissions while GGXXACPR is running full-screen
Fix a possible crash when network errors have resulted in a disconnect from the opponent (instead of crashing, the game now cleanly reports the disconnection).
Fix a possible crash when updating Steam rich presence after returning to a player room
Fixed a crash when the game is closed during dcode download/upload
Fixed a crash when a character is hit on the first frame of training mode
Fixed a couple of crashes related to desync detector messaging
Fixed transparent training mode menu after pressing accept+cancel
Fixed crash for spectator when battlers disconnect at the beginning of match
Fixed crash at startup, if the opening movie was modified or if the OS doesn't provide needed codecs.
Optimizations:
Tweak rift correction algorithm to be more precise, reducing rollbacks
On devices with both integrated and discrete graphics, such as laptops using nVidia's Optimus or similar software, GGXXACPR now requests use of dedicated graphics if the power management enables application-level selection
Desync detection now uses less memory
Tweaks:
Window focus is now managed in a more intuitive fashion when clicking on the GGXXACPR executable's icon in the start bar, when running Windows 10
Some untranslated strings translated
When playing windowed, GGXXACPR is now aware of desktop DPI settings, fixing window size and blurry picture on displays not set to 100% DPI on Windows 7 and up
Entering training mode in a player room now properly gives control to the controller used to enter network mode, instead of only giving control of training mode to the controller bound to player 1
When browsing the list of replays, the list now wraps around when up (or down) is pressed at the top (or bottom) of the list, respectively
Dragging the game's window no longer freezes the game's process
The training mode menu now allows switching between player/enemy options using left/right when the cursor is on any option without left/right choice, such as controller settings, instead of just "resume game"
Thank you Halmartage for recent stream that identified an error. The error sometimes occurred when your partner arrests the civilian and gets slapped by him. Sometimes the slap didn't register fully and this fails the player even if they used the appropriate force.
