Oh Anthem. The only BioWare game even I can't defend. BioWare's attempt at a Destiny-style online multiplayer game crashed and burned when it launched back in 2019, and the developers have made an effort to reboot and improve it ever since. In May last year, they announced Anthem Next, which sounds like its biggest overhaul yet. But now even Next's future is uncertain. A new report claims BioWare's parent company, Electronic Arts, will decide this week whether or not it's worth trying to revive Anthem at all.

Encodya’s had quite a journey, starting out as a crowdfunded short filmed called Robot Will Protect You in 2018, before turning into a 2.5D point-and-click adventure. Listing Blade Runner’s environments and Studio Ghibli’s poignant storytelling among its inspirations, there’s quite a heart-warming story within its futuristic city.

Nvidia's upcoming RTX 3060 graphics card still only has an official release date of "late February" at time of writing, but a new report from WccfTech suggests that Thursday February 25th will be the day it actually goes on sale. Admittedly, WccfTech don't state their source for this particular date, so it could all be a load of hogwash. However, when taken together with other rumours that have been floating round the internet lately (and the fact that almost all Nvidia's previous RTX 30 cards have launched on a Thursday as well), there might just be a shred of truth to it.

I really loved the first Little Nightmares and it remains one of my favourite games of all time to this very day. The attention to detail, the twisted version of adulthood as seen through the night terrors of a child, the stand-out imagery of horrible hulking monsters that stayed with you long after you'd turned it off. Ah! Perfection! And while Little Nightmares II doesn't feel quite> as perfect as its predecessor, you know what? It's still really good.

I played about 10 hours of the 100-hour Persona 5 when it launched on PS4, and I might've> played about 10 minutes of a Dynasty Warriors a few years ago. Yet, here I am, telling you why you should be interested in the Persona 5-Dynasty Warriors crossover, Persona 5 Strikers.

After turning cyclical war into a video game with Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, Black Lab Games are now ready for a licensed adaptation of epic war, endless war, only war. Publishers Slitherine today anjnounced Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, a new turn-based strategy take on Games Workshop's tabletop world of spacefascists. It will pit the Space Marines of the Blood Angels against the Tyranid hive mind, doubtless shouting catchy battle cries like "For the Emperor!" and "Hssskkkklllrrppppblbgrgle!"

Today, the public beta for Steam China launched. While the global version of Steam has been available in the country for ages, it's lived in a strange legal limbo due to the country's strict media regulations. Steam China is an effort from Valve and Chinese game publisher Perfect World to make a platform that's compliant with these regulations, and will mean Chinese players have their own servers to play on too. For now, it seems both versions of Steam will coexist in China, though there are still concerns that normal Steam could be blocked down the line.

Nioh 2: The Complete Edition is a punishing action-RPG, but since it launched a few days ago, it's become clear it still has a few challenges to overcome itself. Players have reported frame rate drops even on high-end PCs, crashes on startup, as well as incorrect keyboard and mouse prompts.

Thankfully, the devs have announced they're on the case, with updates planned for February and March to fix these issues.

Corsair's Vengeance LPX RAM has sat at the heart of many a gaming PC I've built over the years, and it's my go-to recommendation for anyone looking to upgrade their RAM. Happily, Newegg have a new promo code offer over in the US that lets you save an extra $16 on a 16GB LPX kit at the moment, bringing this once $92 set down to a much more agreeable $76. You'll need to hurry, though, as this deal will expire at the end of the day.

I know I've said in the past how much I love having a second display attached to my PC and laptop, but man alive, there's something uniquely sinister about having seven> of them unfold from a single machine. And yet that's precisely what Expanscape's done with their Aurora 7 prototype. I should stress, this isn't a gaming laptop, but a "proper mobile security operations center", according to Expanscape's website - although it does have an Nvidia GTX 1060 chip inside it if you did fancy having a cheeky Hades run on the sly. I mean, it's not like you're short on screens, is it?
