Hollow Island - edym
- Fixes a bug which caused the game to crash at midnight in Honkertown.
- Gertrude now visits Honkertown everyday. I felt that there was no point having to wait and keeping count of every third day etc. (PS: the sign will still say "every third day" for old characters, but you can chop it down and a new correct one will reappear. You might notice that there are suuuper many signs at the same exact same position, that was something I discovered my self, and I have fixed that now. Enjoy all of those signs!)
- Dead players will no longer be poisoned again, sometimes resulting in another death after respawning.
- There won't be a crash when new characters interact with Moon Portals.

1. Compete daily missions to get octopus leg and cook Tako Skewer to get reward.
2. Log in and get 1 octopus leg everyday.
3. Every 30 min. you get 1 octopus leg (2 octopus legs max).
4. Play 3on3 mode 3 times to get 1 octopus leg.
5. Win 3on3 mode 1 time to get 1 octopus leg.
6. Catch 2 loose balls in 3on3 mode to get 1 octopus leg.
7. Press [COOK] to cook Tako Skewer (6 Octopus Legs to 1 Tako Skewer).
8. If you decorate 1 Tako Skewer, You will receive reward (reward goes to your message box).
9. After you receive all reward you will receive 1000 coins for every Tako Cooking.

Game development is such a weird field of work. Especially when doing it solo, you have to apply (or learn) so many different skillsets.
Next to the programming there is art and music involved, marketing, planning, social media, architecture, game design, testing, community management, you name it.

I embarked on a huge journey when starting to make this game in August 2018. My goal was to make something completely from scratch in a language I had not mastered yet. No usage of fancy existing game engines, just pure C++ code and a few libraries.
Was it worth it? Definitely! Even though it will probably not be a huge financial success, I have learned so much that will help me with future projects and the support I got was amazing.
Some of the key points I learned were:
- Learn how, where and when to market (I actually wrote a small article about that here: https://chocolate-pinecone.medium.com/5-marketing-lessons-i-learned-releasing-my-first-commercial-indie-game-a2cfd1f82779)
- Be open to harsh feedback, it's usually the most valuable
- If you can, pay for things you are not skilled in or do not enjoy. It saves you time and results in better quality stuff than you could have made.
- Take breaks when you need them, and remind yourself of your goals
- Don't expect your first project to be financially successful. Instead expect it to be a stepping stone in the experience of game development.
- Create the smallest acceptable version of your game first, and build out afterwards.

I have pushed the release button this morning and loved it. I can't wait to see what happens, and what everyone will think of it!

Just a bit more than two weeks to go before the demo release! Over the "holidays" and during the last week and a bit we have been working on implementing the tutorials, making the actual demo, cleaning house of various UI issues and getting all the recently added texts ready for translation.

  上市这几天,团队收到了来自各方玩家的大量意见,无论是热情支持或是爱深责切,研发团队都一字一句的看过、刻在心里。真的很感谢所有玩家对于《三国群英传》系列的热爱,更感到我们肩负的责任重大。

  对于一些明显的执行问题在测试品保时期没能找出处理掉,我们感到非常抱歉。上市48小时,团队不眠不休的工作,两日连出更新,已经解决数项会影响游戏执行的问题。后续我们将得以着手游戏性的优化调整。

  此时玩家最关心的,还是针对《三国群英传8》目前做的不够好、令玩家不满意的地方,后续会怎么更新优化。以下是我们的承诺:

  关于众多玩家指出的战斗节奏太快,战力辗压、还没搞清楚过程就结束了。这真的是我们非常在意的评论。我们从许多直播、影片当中看到玩得很上手的玩家充满乐趣,但也看到部分玩家对于战斗太快结束感到惊愕。团队会尽快就战斗节奏、战斗数值平衡、技能强度做调整与优化,提升战斗的刺激性

  对于喜欢目前模式与难度的玩家也请放心,我们会设法用选项或是其他方式,让玩家可以自定义自己的《三国群英传》体验。

  另外是单挑系统。多数玩家不喜欢目前的 QTE 单挑系统,更喜欢以往单机系列的战场操控单挑。这个意见我们很明确的理解了。我们决定将大幅修改单挑系统,让玩家在战场上直接操控单挑角色展开对决。单挑系统翻新需要时间,但我们绝对会完成这件事。

  配合着单挑系统的修改,许多玩家殷切期盼的比武大会,我们确定将后续进行制作。是的!因为有玩家的支持,所以天下第一比武大会将会回归。但新系统制作需要时间,还请玩家给我们一点时间。

  部分武将的属性能力调整、人物信息优化,我们都会持续进行。也将逐步优化各项说明与操作,让玩家能更容易上手。我们看到许多反馈来自于玩家不知道接口有提供对应功能,这点我们会深切检讨,把操作提示调整好。

  以上是我们后续会持续着手的工作,想做的东西还有很多很多。但我们相信《三国群英传8》一定要给玩家最好的战斗体验,这将是我们的首要工作。

  在《三国群英传8》的开发过程,虽然有过往的经典系列可以参考,但时隔13年,游戏使用现代引擎的重构、图素全面翻新,实在花费了大量的时间,仍有许多想做的内容未能完全实现,是上市后玩家们的热情支持,让我们有机会做的更多,在此研发团队除了感谢还是感谢。

Before I will present you fish species and models, we should know where is Jackson map located. This map is based on Snake River in Jackson County (Wyoming, USA), but it may not reproduce 1:1 real-life location as we relied mainly on the flora and fauna of the area.

Fish Species - DEMO

Yellow Perch
Dark green back and yellow sides with 6 to 8 dark vertical bars. Front fin has sharp spines and cheek has serrated edges.



Rainbow trout
Body color variable. May be silvery in lakes and reservoirs. Back olive to greenish blue, belly white to silvery. Sides may show red or pink streak, white tip on pelvic (belly) and anal fin usually evident. Irregular spots on back, sides, head, dorsal fin and tail. Spots are more evenly distributed from head to tail on rainbow trout than cutthroat trout.



Smallmouth bass
Dark olive to brown on back, sides bronze, belly white. Dark VERTICAL bands on sides. Eyes reddish. Upper jaw, when closed, does NOT EXTEND behind eye.



Sockeye salmon - spawning variation
An anadromous (ocean going) relative of kokanee salmon. Non-spawning color is silver to steel blue. Males turn a bright red on the back and a darker red on the sides at spawning time. Females also turn red, but the red on the sides is somewhat darker. Sockeye typically spend two years in freshwater and one year in the ocean.


Bullhead catfish
MEMBERS of the catfish family have 4 pairs of barbels (whiskers), spines on their dorsal and pectoral fins, and no scales. Bullheads in Idaho are normally a more solid brown.

Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback so far. We are honored to see our game being streamed on Twitch and Youtube.

This is what we are working on right now to improve the game:

Streaming controls: (to be released in portions within 1-3 weeks)
  • Hide Joincode - When you are streaming and don’t want everybody to join.
  • Kick players - If a player losses connection, it can be nice to kick them and move on.
  • Disable pause button - Only allow pausing from the keyboard.
  • Screen mode settings - Change between windowed and full screen.

We have received many more suggestions for new features, we have a busy spring in front of us!
