The next graphics cards in AMD’s Big Navi and RDNA 2 line-up could be here in just a couple of months time, according to fresh internet rumours. The purported Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT GPUs will both launch before the end of March according to French publication CowCotLand, whose unnamed sources claim they’re currently scheduled to be released by the end of the first quarter of 2021.

Kiryu and Franklin in a modded Grand Theft Auto V meme video.

The hot meme in Los Santos right now is replacing character models with folks from other games and across pop culture, giving Grand Theft Auto V cutscenes a very weird energy. Folks are focused on the scene where Lamar roasts Franklin, swapping in all sorts of characters and voices for silly effect. But in a video game full of dickheads, the one that most warms the cockles of my heart is Yakuza‘s Kiryu popping up to serenade Franklin with a song. Even in sweary memes, Kiryu is the goodest boy.

Twitch have removed the popular PogChamp emote from their streaming platform, following comments made by the emote’s star about the violent riots in the US Capitol last night. The announcement came just a few hours after the face of PogChamp, fighting game personality Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez, made inflammatory remarks about the riots on social media, “encouraging further violence”.

“We can’t in good conscience continue to enable use of the image”, Twitch said.

Players face off in the airport.

After Raven Software nerfed a handful of Call Of Duty: Warzone‘s most overpowered guns yesterday, I thought that maybe the reign of the DMR rifle was over, that maybe I could enter a lobby and not get blapped to death in a matter of seconds. Turns out I was wrong, and that these nerfs aren’t as strong as hoped.

CD Projekt Red have denied claims made by a supposed anonymous member of the Cyberpunk 2077 development team, which included the claim that they’re planning a huge No Man’s Sky-esque “comeback” revamp in June. The alleged insider’s post has been copied & pasted around forums and recapped in videos for several weeks, probably because it gave fans hope for the game’s future while also giving rubberneckers plenty of drama to gawk at. Last night, CDPR declared it “simply not true.”

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Colm Ahern)

Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes interrogating a guard for information

I was so disappointed the first time I saw the credits roll in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. I’d heard it was short before I booted it up, but I don’t think I knew how short. Where were my oddly-timed codec conversations about how Jack met Rose? Why didn’t I have to climb a giant ladder while an acapella version of the theme faintly played in the background? Why didn’t a man that was clearly in disguise reveal his true identity by taking off his sunglasses?

Then I saw a load of side missions unlocked and I started over again. And then again. And again. And again.

Stardew Valley Expanded mod Grandpa's Farm

You may have heard that Stardew Valley had had another huge update in December bringing a new farm map and some cool endgame secrets. It’s not the just the main game though, some of Stardew’s biggest mods were updated on the same day, including one of my personal favorites, Stardew Valley Expanded. This giant mod has also gotten its share of new characters, content, and a new farm map too.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Lauren Morton)

Everything going terribly wrong is the theme of most of my Divinity: Original Sin 2 experiences. Fire everywhere, right? Speedrunners know this big RPG’s ins and outs much better than I do, but it turns out even they aren’t impervious to disaster—or fire. This year’s D:OS2 speedrun during the Awesome Games Done Quick marathon went totally off the rails but was an even more fun watch because of it.
