Good day, engineers! First of all, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support throughout the whole crowdfunding campaign of Dyson Sphere Program. We reached the funding goal a few days ago, and it will still be going for 3 more days, so we may even get some stretch goals!

That said, we've got exciting news: we announce with great pleasure that Dyson Sphere Program will launch on Steam Early Access on January 21th, 2021! We can't wait for you to check the game out!



Are you new to this game, and you wonder what's it about? Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulator with space exploration and factory automation elements where you have to build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch. But that's a very long-term goal: you will need to take many, many steps before you get there! You'll need to mine a huge amount of resources and use them to build intergalactic facilities to advance your research and produce the parts needed to build your Sphere.



You're not limited to a single base or a single planet as it happens in other games of the genre, though. You will need to explore the universe, build facilities on many planets, and connect them with an interstellar logistic network in a galaxy-wide production empire. You will have to hone your strategic and management abilities to get there!



To do so, you explore the universe with your very own high-tech mecha, Icarus, which you can upgrade too with its own tech tree! Whether you're pulling through a planetary conveyor belt or traveling through deep space breaking the speed of light, Icarus will be your vehicle and "body.” So don't forget to upgrade your Icarus abilities while you research other technologies!



Dyson Sphere Program is a deep and complex game that will keep you engaged for many, many hours of play; we calculate that a single playthrough can take from 50 to 100 hours! And the good news is that if you buy it even on Early Access day 1, you won’t be playing an incomplete version: the final construction of the Dyson Sphere is already implemented in the game!

  • Now, every time you lose, the monster gets weak very slightly up to three times. If you win, the weakening will be initialized.
  • If you leave the battle screen and come back in, the weakening will not be initialized.
Glory of Rome - playboi14
Launching today is Glory of Rome, an exciting resource and city management sim set in Rome.

The first campaign sees you take control of a newly appointed city administrator. Your charge from the Senate is to grow and expand the empire and create resource rich settlements.



Along the way you'll learn the fundamentals of city management, resource production and managing the needs of your settlement to expand your settlement.

Play through 12 scenarios as you rise in prestige with the Senate, taking up new roles and responsibilities.

I'm really excited to release this and I'm actively planning the next stages of the game. Feedback and suggestions are very much welcomed.
Logic World - Jimmy
Optimizations - Jimmy

I've been working on various optimizations to speed up Logic World, and this week I've significantly improved the circuit simulation performance. I made a little video to demonstrate gameplay in an insanely demanding world before and after the optimizations.




Moddable Sound Effects - Jimmy

Historically, sound effects in Logic World have been closed, hardcoded things. Mods could play the built-in sound effects, but it was difficult if not impossible for them to add custom sound effects. It was also an annoying amount of work for us to add new hardcoded sounds.

Well, this week I redid our sound effect system, and sounds are now loaded from disk at runtime. Adding a new sound effect, for us or for modders, is as easy as dropping a .wav or .ogg into your mod folder and writing a small data file.




Ground Types - Jimmy

Taking advantage of the new easy sound effects, I've added a system for custom ground types. Every point on any object can declare its ground type, and each ground type can declare a specific sound effect for players that walk or jump or land on it. I've also been experimenting with ground types that affect the movement logic of players walking on them.



Ground types are the latest in my series of tools to help me build epic environments for doing logic in. I'm super excited about these worlds, and I can't wait to show them to you in forthcoming Wednesdays :D


Bugs Fixed This Week
  • Fixed non-connected input pegs sharing a circuit state with some random piece of circuitry in worlds that have filled up all the starting circuit state indexes
  • Fixed a couple issues preventing you from loading a second save after already doing so once in a given session
  • Fixed exclusive pegs not having a deterministic update order relative to components
  • Fixed some potential issues with unconnected exclusive pegs
  • Fixed music not playing if the path to the music contained a '#' or a '%' or was a UNC path or various other edge cases

There have been some dissonant noises and some violations of the game's rules in the game recently. Some players have used hack on the battlefield. Some have used farm bot to level up quickly, and some have spread inappropriate words in the game. It all affects the environment of our entire Conqueror's Blade community.

We want all generals can enjoy the pure joy that the combat brings and will have the best gaming experience without disturbed by any violation. Therefore, starting today, we have decided to make public the results of the following three violations from time to time, in order to create a healthy environment for the community:

1. Whoever used third-party software to modify game data, which had seriously disturbed the battlefield ecology and the gaming experience of other players, will be on the list.
2. Whoever used third-party software to profited from the battlefield by doing nothing will be on the list. Such behavior had contrary to the principle of fairness.
3. Whoever makes any of the prohibited statements as follows on any channels in the game, will be on the list:

1) It contains words or phrases that hatred inciting, politics-bashing, and racial discriminating;
2) It contains unfriendly words or phrases to insult others;
3) It contains words or phrases involving pornography, gambling, or drugs;
4) It contains words or phrases of an advertising nature or the dissemination of unofficial web sites;
5) It contains statements that violate any law.

Two Punishment mechanism for Negative Attitude:

1)Make Amends - Earn a specific rating in Standard Battles-Training Camp for several times. The rating requirement and times settings are based on the severity of negative attitude

2)Matchmaking Bans - In duration time, only Standard Battles-Training Camp is available, banned players are not able to join other matched games. And the time of bans duration only reduced when character is online.

Naev - bobbens
We are proud to present the 0.8.0 release of Naev! This has over 4,000 commits from 0.7.0 and has been under development for the past 3.5 years. The backend and interface has been revamped to be modern with lots of improvements all over the board. Some examples include unicode and internationalization support. We would like to thank all the contributors who have participated in this release.

Some of the more notable gameplay changes include making missiles and fighter bays not require ammunition, changed how some pilots spawn, time passes faster in larger ships, and a revamped commodity/economy system.

We don't expect there to be many issues, but if you do find any, please report them at the issue tracker. Discussion about the game can also be had on Discord (discord invite).

- Christmas Events Added (Will last for about two weeks)
a. Christmas trees will appear in the map randomly. Click one to trigger a present rain for one minute. Click the presents to get in-game resource.
b. Click 50 Christmas trees to unlock the Christmas avatars.

2. Function Optimization
- Role page will no longer move back to the left after leveling down a mercenary, but will stay at the same place instead.
- Auto-cast will be available for battles in Tower of Time.
- Optimized the UI and text of Adventure Credential, so that it’s easier to understand.
- Exploration Expedition will now memorize your choices from last time and will pick those as the priority.
- Optimized the order of Equipment page. Equipment with better stats will be on the top.
- Optimized the requirements for Unstoppable achievement. Decreased the number required of reaching top 20 in Sprint matches. Players who currently have certain numbers of requirements fulfilled will have those numbers decreased to fit the optimized requirements. (This will not affect the Unstoppable achievements that you already finished.)

- Fixed the bug that the red dot doesn’t show on the main character in Role.
- Fixed the bug that no red dot shows when there are artifacts to unlock.
- Fixed the bug that red dot doesn’t show in Time Control.

Hello there Warlords!
We will update the game during our maintenance on December 17th, which will last for 3 hours and run between 12:00-15:00 (UTC+8). After the maintenance we will give all players 7,500 Bronze Coins and 300 Honour as compensation for any inconvenience caused. Be sure arrange your time accordingly. The update will contain the following:

1) Limited-time Doctrine Changes

We have adjusted the acquisition of limited-time doctrines so as to improve upon the experience. End of season results will no longer affect the acquisition or validity length of limited-time doctrines.

2) Event Changes

As the Conqueror's Blade League's finals will be held on December 19th (Saturday), Territory War will be canceled for the day. A Deathmatch event stage will be available in its place.

3) Bug Fixes

1. Resolved an issue where the mailbox icon would appear as if there were new mails when there weren't.
