Dear Stormworkers,

This week, as a minor update, we are adding vehicle to vehicle fire spreading, and have also added game save compression.

Now, when two vehicles collide with a little force, there is a good chance fire will spread from one vehicle to the other. At the point of contact, fire can spread if that point on either vehicle is currently on fire.

Fire spreading collisions require a little force, but much less than the amount of force required to do damage.

This change only makes fires more able to spread, more able to get out of control, and more deadly. If you are responding to a vehicle fire on land or at sea, please use caution! A small contact could set your vehicle alight and leave you stranded in the ocean on a burning ship!



Game saves had grown considerably in size the past few weeks since we added AI ships, so we added save compression to reduce game saves down in size. Saves typically reduce in size by over 90%. This also resolves several player issues where some players experienced slow downs during saving. We also addressed the issue with slow downs after loading previously saved games.

Save games remain backwards compatible so your old saves will still work.

The reduced save file size will also help us when adding more vehicles to the world, such as AI helicopters and planes that we plan to implement over the coming months.

Also, be sure to check out experimental branch if you are interested in the modular engines. We added loads of new components this week and updated some mechanics. It is all a work in progress so some imagination is required but gives a sneak preview on what we are working on.

With the opening of two new North American servers, we have updated the Event Schedule so that Territory Wars, Deathmatches and other time-limited battles remain convenient for as many players as possible:

Opening on December 16, the new servers will give North American players the freedom to choose the best way to connect to Conqueror’s Blade based on their location. Cloudwing Valley (West) is based in Sunnyvale, California, while Eagle Range (East) is based in Washington DC.

Hey everyone,

We are releasing a small client update today to address recently found exploits and some other issues.

The full changelist is as follows:
* Fixed a clientside exploit with render targets (Thanks Badger and Ling)
* Fixed a clientside exploit with the web browser integration (Thanks FiveSeven)
* Fixed abnormal clientside voice delay on low tick servers
* Entity.SetModelScale is now clamped on players (minimum value is now 0.001) to prevent crashing

Servers only need updating if they are affected by the model scale crashing issue.

Hello friends! Every Friday 17:30 GMT starts “Let’s play together” challenge. We pick up a level and during 24 hours everyone is trying to get the best time on it. You just need to register once on our Discord server and keep Discord running while playing the level of the week, and your results will be automatically published in Discord #lets-play-together channel. You need to get 5 stars for beating the level.

Glittering prizes:
1) 3 winners get collectable cards - one random card per person. If you collect 18 locomotive cards, you can collect 6 new cards, and then 2 more special ones. When you collect all 26 cards, you will receive a special prize.
2) Any participant can win a card. Number or cards will depend on the number of participants: one card for every 10 participants. The more players, the more prizes! Your chances of winning remain high.

The Wind and Wilting Blossom - Froren
We get it - you probably want to play the game rather than read our blather, but we'd be fools not to make a quick launch announcement.

We launched to Early Access at the end of April, and projected about six months to get out of EA. It (clearly) took us a little bit longer than we'd planned, but we believe the extra time and love was worth it. The game feels worlds more polished than the EA launch, and we've added so much new content that we're really excited about.

We'd be remiss not to briefly mention the folks and organizations that have advocated for us during (and often before!) EA:
  • All of our EA purchasers and players (particularly those of you that playtested even earlier)
  • Our Discord and Twitter communities
  • The streamers and journalists willing to cover an EA game from a tiny studio no one's ever heard of

· Fixed a couple of random crashes gathered with the Crash Reporter. Thank you for sending us your crashes.
· Fixed the bug where the game would crash with some users as soon as it's launched.

· Adjusted the Colosseum's dynamic vector to fine-tune the difficulty (Thank you Bum)
