It's that time of the year again when people are nice to each other, exchange pretty presents and... hunt down Reindeer in Hemmeldal!
"Holidays are not about presents!" I hear you say? What a steaming pile of charcoal! This year's holidays are ALL about Present$!
You can get Present$ points by taking part in our special holiday mission and competitions, as well as harvesting animals and finding collectible presents scattered around the EHR!
We have frozen Christmas time (time will always be 18:00) and decked the halls in Hemmeldal. There are some nice Christmas decorations placed around the reserve… as well as Rudolph, so keep an eye on those Reindeer noses, as harvesting them will also grant you a sizeable amount of Present$!
In order to take part in the event you will have to click on the big banner you will find in the Launcher (or Website) home page:
Participate for the prizes, the trophies, and the glory! The hunter with the most Present$ at the end of December the 21st will win a very generous first prize!
COMPETITIONS
The event comes with 5 competitions each lasting 3 days finishing just as the new one starts!

Completing a competition in any place (just qualify!) will also award the hunter 200 Present$ points.
Each competition comes with 7 tiers based on your Hunter Score:

MISSION
This year's mission is called Searching for Rudolph. It's only one mission, but it's as challenging as a whole mission pack!
You will have to harvest one animal for each species living the Hemmeldal hunting reserve, and ultimately find the elusive red-nosed Reindeer.
"Searching for Rudolph" will last for the whole event's duration, from the 7th to the 21st of December.
Completing this mission will earn the hunter the following rewards:
This year Santa has dropped collectible presents all over the EHR and if you find them, you can pick them up to earn Present$ points.
They are a lot rarer than in previous years though (has someone been misbehaving, huh?) so if you find some consider yourself lucky!
On top of collectibles, harvesting animals in ANY reserve during the Happy Holidays 2020 event also gives you Present$.
Ultimately, the more Present$ you collect, the more in-game prizes you are rewarded.

SALES
During the Happy Holidays 2020 Campaign, a number of items will be on sale in the Store, including a juicy 50% discount on both versions of the 16GA/9.3x74R Drilling Combination Gun.
- Possibility of saving the sailors' stations from the Bosco's sheet - Before a battle, it will now be possible to modify the allocated battle stations and the equipped weapons, making it possible to prepare more specifically according to the situation
Corrections
- Sentences' corrections and replacement of "Shipwright" with "Carpenter", in English - When two NPC ships fight against each other, the winner will have fewer losses than before - From now on, if the state of the ship encountered is very bad and the number of her sailors very low, she will no longer automatically attack - Chances of finding an artifact increased when you play the butcher's son
- Added information when you pick up something - Changed behavior of Brunts and Brawlers, still WIP but they are less dumb than they used to be. Expect more changes later on. - Added blood splatter if you are close to enemy - Enemies can now chase you through the door - Removed buggy glass floor (will come back later when I remove the AI bugs) - Temporarily removed Patrol Bots - they will come back later after I get their AI fixed.
- Enemy and Exit Markers: You will now see a marker if an enemy is nearby. It might change later on to be something temporary. I was thinking to have it activated during fury mode (when you hear the aggressive metal). We'll see. Exit marker now available if you are within 60 meters of range. This will also change later on when we will be changing level layout.
- Objectives: You will now see mission main objectives. The demo contains now only two of them - kill all enemies and find exit. Later we will add more.
- Secrets Some of you might have found a pig sitting on a toilet. Places like that will be considered secrets. For now I've added only one such secret marker but later this will be expanded with more such places and interactions. This will also be improved in the future with some dialogues and other stuff. We want to reward you for exploring the level. The level will change after I get all the planned features implemented.
- Walking animation and Weapon Sway This was an easy thing to do so I've added a simple weapon sway feature and animation while you walk. It adds a bit of a juice.
- New models for Ammo, HP and Armor
Fixed Issues:
- Brawler Pig HP bar was not refreshing. This is fixed now. - Enemies did not drop any loot when got killed by enviro. This is fixed now.
What's next?
- Summary screen showing you objectives completion - Better AI. - Items - Load out section (Equip items, armor and weapon, spend skill points)
When this is done the level will get an overhaul. The goal is to make it suitable for better exploration and a boss fight. Each level will have an exit and a boss arena. Boss will be very tough, probably impossible to kill during the first run (unless you are hardcore). If you leave the level alive then you will be able to keep all the items and weapons with you and bring whatever you choose with you for the next run. Sort of looter - shooter approach. At least this is the plan for the future.

Dear lords, To make sure the stability of the game operation and improve the service quality and experience, Blood of Steel will be shut down for maintenance and update from 7:00 to 9:00(UTC+0) on December 8, 2020. The game world will be closed at that time.
We will close the game match and the login entrance. The account database will be additional maintenance and backup to ensure the stable and smooth operation of the servers! It does not rule out the possibility of opening ahead of schedule or delayed due to specific conditions. Please arrange your time reasonably.

We recently uploaded an UPDATED version of our demo build on our Steam page. We fixed many bugs (including the ones you guys reported) and made some gameplay changes/improvements as well. After defeating Ratmothan in the Undercity, you’ll find an elevator that the was guarding that leads to the Forsaken City. We’re currently working extensively on this area of the game right now. The Forsaken City is ridden with all sorts of mutant creatures. There are agile bugs with sharp claws, ‘Hive’ creatures that continue to spew out bugs until you get rid of it and bugs that send out explosive little buglings among many others. With a completely different map layout and background, we’re trying to design the Forsaken City to feel totally different from the Undercity.

We’re always going to focus on developing the game as our number one priority. Expanding contents such as future maps, monster/NPC design and system related improvements/additions… we’re working hard to create a game we all envisioned when we started developing the game. Of course we are also keeping a close eye on your feedback. While we won’t be able to address each and every one of them, there have been sharp critiques and things that we haven’t even thought of ourselves being reported by you guys that we will definitely implement/change.
