Hi everybody! Hope you're all well! I've been working hard on getting the game running a bit better, especially in trial 1. Again, I'm not 100% sure the best ways to do this, but here's the gist of it...

- Grass density has been decreased by about half in trial 1.
- Many meshes have been combined to reduce draw calls.
- Some minor adjustments have been made to make certain items easier to find.

I hope your all well! Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the experience better!

  • Zombies where quite hard to kill, with this update you can kill them more easily

Knightfall - Static City Games
Hey everyone!

It's been a while.

Knightfall has been in early access for just over 3 years. In our opinion (as well as the opinions of many others), this is way too long for a game like this to be "stuck".

There are currently zero employees working on Knightfall and we do not know what Knightfall's direction needs to be.

We also do not know when Knightfall will be picked back up out of it's hiatus.

As of today, we've pulled the buy button from the Steam store page.

What does that mean?
It means that from here on out, Knightfall cannot be sold in any package, whether it be by itself, with it's soundtrack, or as part of the Static City Games package. It's no longer available for purchase until we choose to make it available for purchase again.

But I bought / activated Knightfall in the past, will I lose access to the game?
No! We wouldn't want anyone to lose access to anything they've purchased / activated. It's only not available in the Steam store anymore. You'll still own your license to the game in your Steam Library.

Will you ever complete Knightfall? What's its future?
We want to finish Knightfall. We need to finish Knightfall... but it needs a new identity. It needs a graphics overhaul, a story overhaul, and it really lacks any direction. We have some ideas that may come to fruition soon, and everyone on Steam will be the first to know.

In the mid-15th Century, to commemorate his military victories, Tsar Ivan the Terrible ordered the construction of the temple that would become known as St. Basil’s Cathedral. Its original design took several decades to complete, and many different teams took part in its construction.


In The Red Cathedral you will take on the role of a team of architects charged with building the cathedral. Each player will build different parts of the monument. Using your influence with the clergy and the different guilds of the city, you will attempt to earn more of the Tsar’s favor than your rivals. When the work on the cathedral has been completed, the player who has earned the most prestige will be the winner!

Today's build includes a toggle for facing your target vs. giving you full control.

For now, to toggle the auto-facing hold down right shift and right control and press T. You start out in the current auto-facing system, so doing this once will turn it off. Pressing it again will turn it back on.

It's something I want to test to see if you all like, and if so, I'll make it a permanent part of the game and add it to the options screen. After playing with it myself for a bit it does feel good, but I like auto-facing too, so that's why I'll make it an option. I'm also considering maybe having the system auto-face a target when you switch targets. This part would stop turning your character if you take control and would also revert back to manual control once you faced your target. So I might make that a third option or just make it how the toggle works. Depends on what you all think so I'd love to get some feedback on this! :)

This update also includes a bunch of fixes:
  • Saving and quitting to the title page will no longer replay the splash screens.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the inventory screen to sometimes get stuck when equipping a weapon for the first time.
  • Fixed some localization errors related to controller mapping.
  • Fixed the controller selection box for the credits screen.
  • Turned off the ability to map right and left stick movements to actions. This could cause you to get in a state where you couldn't rotate the camera.
  • Fixed some icon issues related to the controller icons displayed based on what controller you have set in options.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the build menu to sometimes get stuck and not close.
Also still plugging away at the new content. All three new enemies are in the game now with only minor tweaks needed to their textures. Next up is to add animations and hook up their monster AI.

Knightczech: The beginning - Nějaká Šlehačka a jahody
Few days ago streamer odinZAte tried out Knightczech: The beginning. If you are interested in viewing some gameplay you can check the video on her YouTube channel (I pay my respects for her accepting the challenge and trying her best!).



As the end of the year is comming closer, I was finally able to finish next update for Story mode. Chapter 3 will be delivered before Christmas (hopefully) and it will consist of completely new location and levels alongside with new creatures, items, challanges and achievements!
