Hi everyone, I’m Mark Yampolsky, Systems Designer on Apex Legends, and I’m here to tell you about a fan-favorite mode we’re bringing back this Holo-Day Season, now with some exciting changes!

The train is back in World’s Edge just for Winter Express, and this time it’s not the only vehicle descending into the valley around Epicenter. The supply ships from Kings Canyon are also flying around the frozen explosion.



For those of you who haven’t played it before, Winter Express is a round-based mode where three squads battle for control of the train as it makes its way around World’s Edge. This year, when your squad respawns after a round has finished, you will spawn on your own supply ship as it follows the train. From here, your squad will be able to survey the battlefield and skydive into combat as the train arrives at its next station and the objective unlocks. The squad that won the previous round will respawn directly on the train.



We’ve also added a new station for the train to stop at: Derailment is the scene of a catastrophic accident that occurred as a cargo train travelling the opposite direction took a tricky turn at high speed. This new station has a variety of flanking opportunities, and a unique rotation under the bridge where the train stops. This allows you to quickly change which side of the objective you’re attacking.

These changes should significantly reduce some of the long respawn times between rounds that players experienced last year. We can now spawn you earlier on the supply ships, and the longest section of track between stations is now divided in half with Derailment. We think these changes will make the mode an even more awesome experience.

Some new Legends have joined the games since Winter Express was last live, including: Loba, Revenant, Rampart, and Horizon. These Legends shake up the mode in new, exciting ways and we can’t wait for you to find new strategies for defending the objective or breaking through a powerful enemy line. We’ve also refreshed and rebalanced loadouts for this mode to include new weapons and purple armor for more exciting engagements that really help show off what our Legends can do.


This year, Holo-Day Bash contains a rewards track with all-new unlockables. The rewards track will be available the same time as Winter Express, December 1 to January 4.

I'm very excited to say that Block Motion is now available to everyone in the steam store. There's a launch discount that will be continuing for the next week.

I'd like to say a special thanks to everyone that participated in the forums over the last couple months, giving feedback on the demo and beta versions. You were a huge help in making Block Motion a much better game.

Toast Defense's first update is now live! Small quality of life changes and some bug fixes are the theme of this update. Some small content was added in the form of an official leaderboard for the most ducks shooed on the main menu, and snow throughout the game! Hopefully these changes make game play a little smoother and more enjoyable all around, let me know what you guys think!
Full Change Log:

- Added a steam leaderboard for menu ducks shooed in a single session
- Added some more info to the tutorial screen to help clear up confusion about how many ducks were being spawned each wave
- Added option to hit escape button instead of clicking the back button when backing out of menus
- Added option to hit escape button to skip the intro sequence instead of clicking the skip button
- Changed the ducks in the main menu to face the correct way when trying to steal your toast
- Disabled being able to place hot sauce or honey on the starting tile
- Fixed Bug where the high score menu did not display properly when there wasn't enough data to fill the board
- Fixed Bug where the 1,000,000 duck achievement was actually looking for 10,000,000
- Fixed Bug where the last 3 achievements were tracking highest score instead of total ducks shooed, these achievements should update the next time you shoo a duck
- Added snow!

Operation Neon Dawn, the final season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 5, is now available. This new season brings new features such as Aruni, a brand-new Operator, the rework of the Skyscraper map as well as new accessibility settings.

Owners of the Year 5 Pass can play with Aruni immediately, while other players can unlock her with Renown or R6 Credits starting December 8. New seasonal content, including the Skyscraper map rework, are available for free to all players. Year 5 Season 4 also welcomes the Battle Pass, available now through February 22nd.

Equipped with an original gadget called the Surya Gate, Aruni can deploy laser gates on walls, hatches, doors, and windows. Those gates damage Attackers and their utility but turn off to allow defenders to access. The gate is intended as an obstacle, zapping all drones, projectiles and damage Operators. Aruni comes with a P10 RONI or a MK 14 EBR as a primary weapon, and a PRB 92 as a secondary weapon.

In addition to this new Operator, players can now discover a reimagined Skyscraper map, which has been newly reworked with three major objectives. The first is driving Attackers inside by lowering the number of balconies and relocating them to remove some of the crossfire players could create previously from outside. An entirely new rotation between the two sides of the building on the second floor was also added. Lastly, the bombsites have been balanced to make them all more competitive.

Operation Neon Dawn also marks the launch of the Sixth Guardian program, in which certain seasons have a limited-time bundle dedicated to a different charity. As of today, Rainbow Six Siege players can purchase a bundle with a uniform, weapon skin, charm, and headgear for Doc. One hundred percent of net proceeds, with a minimum of $6 USD per bundle sold, will be donated to The AbleGamers Charity. AbleGamers is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that aims to support players with disabilities by providing gamers with the tools they need to enjoy their playing experience and by promoting inclusion in the video game industry.
