Navigation system Captains! We are glad to present you a new feature - Navigation system. It replaced the old World Map but retained its basic functions. This system will show your ships, airships and strekolets in flight, regardless of their location. Other characters' aircraft are shown within a 30-mile radius of your location. The functionality of the system will be expanded later.
Skills Now when you cancel the learning of a skill, money spent on learning are refunded in proportion to the remaining time. The less time is left, the less money will be returned to the character's account.
The next edition of the Steam Game Awards is here! If Occupy Mars: Prologue is the toughest game you've ever enjoyed, we would like to encourage you to vote for Occupy Mars: Prologue in the category The Best Game You Suck At.
Remember that you can only nominate the prologue in a single category, so if our game isn't your best game you suck at, then we would be very grateful if you'd vote for our game in other categories!
We would greatly appreciate your vote! ːsteamhappyː
Welcome to PostZ State of the Game #1. We list headsets verified, Steam+Oculus Link support for the Quest, new Mixed Reality Output, new languages, and 2 new forums.
Community Updates
We added two new Steam Community forums, one for Bug Reporting and another for Feedback/Suggestions.
New Forum - Bug Reporting
If you encounter bugs or difficulties playing the game, please post in the Bug Reporting forum! We would greatly appreciate it! We’re an independent game development studio. As a very small indie studio, we ask the community to help by reporting any bugs that you may find. We will prioritize the fixing of bugs over adding new features. For fastest results, this means getting a good set of steps to reliably reproduce the problem. If you encounter a bug, and want us to be able to fix it as quickly as possible, please try to find a good set of steps to make it happen again and report anything relevant. Then we can take those repro steps and fix the problem. Sometimes screenshots can help, but most importantly we need a good set of repro steps, a description of what you expected to see, and a description of what happened. For anything graphics related, we might ask for the hardware section of the dxdiag output with the personally identifiable information removed, along with a description of your SteamVR video settings.
New Forum - Feedback/Suggestions
We care about the player experience and would love to hear your suggestions. Generally if there is community support for a feature we will probably consider it. We have a roadmap of our own that we continue to refine and we can talk about that sometime after launch. We look forward to continuing to work on the game and make it better with every update!
More Language Support
We now provide support for English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, German, Russian, French, Spanish-Spain and Portuguese-Brazil. This language support includes in-game text and story, store descriptions, as well as achievement names. All of these translations were completed by human translators and is not machine-translation, so it should be the best quality. However, since we don't speak 7 of these languages, if you find any language issues, please report them in the Bug Reporting forum or email us at the support email on our website. Also, if there is another language that you would like to see supported, please post in the Features/Suggestions forum.
Mixed Reality Video Support
We now support Mixed Reality video frame output. The results are outstanding and can be used in conjunction with streaming software to live stream gameplay with the player standing in the middle of the VR scene. If you do stream the game in mixed reality video, please post a link to your game streams in the forums! The game uses the standard approach with externalcamera.cfg. Since it's a standard approach, we won't go into details here, but let us know in the General Forum if you need more info. If there is enough interest for more information, we can add an article.
Play from Steam on Oculus Quest via Oculus Link
We verified that the game runs on PC from Steam on Oculus Quest via Oculus Link and a USB link cable (we used a similar third party unbranded cable). It worked great on an older laptop with a 980M and an i7-4720HQ CPU at 2.6GHZ. We would guess having more cores and current USB support helps with this, so it probably depends on your PC. On the Quest, the video quality was excellent and the tracking worked great. Regarding gameplay, the Oculus controller triggers did have to be squeezed pretty far in order to get them to fire the weapon, but this controller tolerance is controlled by the Steam VR input action "trigger". We can adjust the default setting for this controller's "trigger" action before we ship, but a player can also fine tune these settings for their own setup in Steam VR. The gun felt great right away, offset precisely in the ideal position for a flat shot. This weapon angle will likely be controllable in the game settings, in case a player wants to fine tune it to their preferred angle for their controller.
List of VR Headsets Tested
So far, we've played the game on Valve Index, the HTC Vive (Pre), ACER's Microsoft Mixed Reality headset, and the Oculus Quest via Oculus Link. Generally, the quality settings such as Refresh Rate and Render Resolution can be adjusted via Steam VR Settings to achieve the best results for the PC rig being used. For instance, the game plays at 144hz on Valve Index with 120% resolution on an i7-9700K CPU at 3.6ghz running a RTX 2080S. Other computers might require different game settings for best results. For slower PC video hardware, a good trick for getting better framerate is to change the game screen to windowed (with Alt+Enter) and shrink down its dimensions. This can reduce the overhead from drawing the pixels in that window and can sometimes eliminate that as a bottleneck improving refresh rate speed and consistency.

We hope you are well and safe. It's been a tough year, but here we are battling even for the smallest region, reward or victory.
And while the year proved challenges on all fronts, we managed to deliver a mighty 14 events to date. This is more than we have ever attempted... and... we are not finished. We are still pushing for 2 more events, one of which is major.
We had our 15th anniversary this year, a major milestone in the game's history as well as studio. Coupled with this and the hard work we put in providing 14 events and counting, including 2 World Cups, and 3 other major tournaments, we would love to show the world why we are best suited to win a Steam Award.
A recognition of this rank would mean that our game and world we have created in it truly brings joy and happiness to the our players.
For this reason we would like to urge you to vote for Imperia Online at the upcoming Steam Awards. The voting will be open until Wednesday the 2nd of December 2020.
So rush in, vote and help us show the Imperial might!
