A Paolumu from Monster Hunter: World, which is a kind of white furry bat that can inflate itself, like a flying pufferfish. It can be turned into a lovely coat.

Today we hit the yearly milestone of deciding it was finally cold enough to turn the heating on. You hold out as long as you can, obviously. Not made of money. Perhaps we could have lasted longer if we’d had very fashionable coats made out of the skin of a rare bat monster, such as you can hunt and kill in Monster Hunter: World.

Yes, from this thrilling segue you’ll now be aware that this week’s episode of The Electronic Wireless Show is all about fashion in games. We talk about Dark Souls, we talk about Hitman, we talk about Fable. All the hits! Since Nate is regrettably still bust, it was just me and Matthew again, but we fill the time by discussing peacocks. Plus! The second instalment in the ConeGate Conspiracy. Will Matthew be able to secure a parking space? Will the scaffolding go up okay? Catch up today, and stay tuned for a further update next week.

Cyberpunk 2077 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

A mech stompin' and shootin' in a screenshot from MechWarrior 5's Heroes Of The Inner Sphere DLC.

When CD Projekt Red announce a Cyberpunk 2077 release date, they plant a neon battle banner on the calendar and shouting “FIGHT ME, COWARDS” at other developers. Most, sensibly, decline to. The makers of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries had planned to launch its first DLC on December 10th but, well, that’s the date Cyberpunk is now due. So rather than fight a colossal mech built of neon tubing, sheet glass, and garish merch, Piranha Games have decided to delay Heroes Of The Inner Sphere. It’s now due in spring 2021 – assuming Cyberpunk 2077 is not delayed again.

Whether you’re after a G-Sync Compatible monitor, an ultrawide display, or a 144Hz or 240Hz gaming monitor deal, we’ve got you covered.

A photo of the LG UltraGear 27GL750 gaming monitor.

There’s been a great selection of [cms-block] in the UK this week, but none have been quite as tempting as LG’s UltraGear 27GL750 display, which is £100 off over at Currys PC World right now. Normally £439, this 1440p, 144Hz, G-Sync Compatible monitor is down to a record low of just £339 at the moment, making it my top Black Friday monitor recommendation of the week so far.

Baldur's Gate 3 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

A close up screen shot of Astarion the rogue from Baldur's Gate 3. He is also very smug, and I have no time for him.

A new early access update is headed to Baldur’s Gate 3 soon, and be warned: it will break save file compatibility, requiring players to start a new save to play with the patch. You will be able to revert to the previous version of the game to continue an existing save, mind, just without any of the newness. Yeah it’s a hassle but it’s to be expected when playing an unfinished game in early access, really.

A photo of the Razer Deathadder V2 next to the Razer Basilisk V2 gaming mouse.

The Black Friday Razer deals are heating up over in the US today, with their excellent Deathadder V2 mouse falling to a new all-time low of $50 at Amazon and Best Buy. That’s a saving of $20 off its usual price, and $6 less than what it cost during last month’s Prime Day bonanza. As such, if you’ve been waiting to take the plunge on Razer’s popular gaming mouse, now is definitely the time to do it.

Watch out, watch out, there are sales about. Humble, Gamesplanet, Fanatical and Steam have all hopped aboard the autumn deals train, and what a well-priced train it is. Joining us at the next stop now is Green Man Gaming, who’ve also launched their big [cms-block] sale. They have a lot of the same games on offer that we’ve seen elsewhere, but with some slightly better price points – like Doom Eternal’s Deluxe Edition for just £21 (down from £75), and Control’s Ultimate Edition for £15 (down from £35).

Dinner's up in a frame from a Cuphead: The Last Course cinematic.

You’ll need to wait to continue the stylish adventures of our boy Cuphead, as the developers have delayed its expansion by another year. Adding a new island and playable character, The Delicious Last Course was previously due this year but nah, Studio MDHR say the whole pandemic has thrown them off course, and they’d rather do it right than rush it out.

A photo of the WD Black P10 external hard drive on a desk in front of a gaming monitor.

The closer we get to [cms-block], the bigger the deals become, and nowhere is that more true than our favourite external HDD, the 5TB WD Black P10, which has now fallen to a new record-low of just £87 in the UK, and $95 over in the US. In the US, that’s the same as it was during Prime Day last month, but in the UK it’s gone that bit further, beating its Prime Day price by another £13. If you need to expand your PC’s storage banks, this is a brilliant way to do it.
