A new patch update is now available for Chostship Chronicles. The update is 49 mb and will improve and tweak some game-play aspects.
Team AI has been improved and should flow much better. They also have some slight improvements in combat and be a little more efficient.
Infected Crew Improvements and they now stop making a running noise when dead.
Collision on some walls have been improved, more noticeably in the main access corridor where shooting round some corners would result in some strange collision issues.
There have been some other improvements such as no more running animations in tutorial screens, auto fire should also now stop in airlocks.
Locker loot has also had a slight re-balancing with less assault rifle mags and more shotgun shells and SMG mags.
I will doing a live broadcast shortly after this announcement to test out some of these improvements.
We would like to start this announcement by thanking everyone that has played Cyberforge, especially those that have taken the time to send us their thoughts. Your comments and suggestions help us determine which of our many tasks are most important. In this version you can expect a more balanced experience, better tuned UX, and ULTIMATE attacks for all dwarves.
Changes are too numerous to mention so here are the big ones:
Refactored alternate action controls to be more intuitive and user friendly (further adjustments are still in the works)
Balanced attack ranges and damage for all dwarves (let us know if they are feeling better)
Added Ultimate attacks for each dwarf (activated by pressing the EAST action button)
New stats for gear: Forge stronger equipment in the "safe zone"
Flames in safe zone will no longer deal damage (sorry about that :D)
Ai - various changes and bug fixes for PC controlled units. (many changes still in progress)
Manipulating crates with the Defender (blue dwarf) are more user friendly
Berzerker (magenta dwarf) no longer fails to leap in certain circumstances
As mentioned, we still have loads to do and welcome your offers of critique and encouragement. Here is a very rough list of what we are working on for future updates:
Improved switch dwarf event so you instantly know which dwarf you switched to
Better camera movements that include important events (such as bridges activated off camera)
Fix Ai issues with enemies and when switching dwarves
General Ai improvements and deeper decision logic based on command (follow/hold position)
New UI with better UX for Equipment and Forging better gear
Replace Defender's "shield generator" action with a new utility object (barricade, auto turret)
Implement cool down indicator system for alt-actions (grenade, sniper shot, and barricade)
Recharge system for Ultimate attacks (replaces current cooldown system)
Add in-game feedback for trying to activate triggers with the wrong dwarf
and...LOADS more!

All this writing has made us thirsty! Time for a nice "dwarvenly" beverage.
On lvl_1_3, reduced number of deaths needed to trigger tutorial text from 3 to 2.
Performance Improvements:
Fixed issue (introduced in one of the last patches) where objects at the edges of chunks could continually activate/deactivate. This was due to object deactivation boxes being set incorrectly. This fix should help bring back stable performance for anyone that was still experiencing issues.
Slightly increased performance of chunk loading.
Slightly increased performance in the player object's code.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed issue where the tutorial object in lvl_1_3 would cause the game to crash.
Fixed issue introduced in v1.3.1 where the view variables wouldn't get set correctly when returning from the level editor to the menu, which could cause some of the wall objects to not be displayed.
Bat deactivation boxes now follow the object, so they will now deactivate based on where they currently are as opposed to where they were when the level started.
Fixed issue where goo access piles would deactivate before going fully out of view, causing them to continually activate/deactivate, resulting a flashing visual appearance.
Known Bugs:
Extender blocks clip through walls that are offscreen at the time of activation.
Skipping the cutscenes can occasionally cause the audio volumes to not get reset back to the values they were at before the cutscene.
