Brawlhalla is celebrating its Five Year Anniversary with a new seasonal event complete with exclusive items and new in-game features! The Anniversary event includes a new Bödvar Skin, an exclusive Color Scheme, celebratory Emote, and more.

We’re also introducing Titles, a new reward that players can earn by accomplishing various milestones, like becoming a BCX World Champion. During this Brawlhalla Anniversary event, players can earn a free “Reveler” Title by logging in!

There are also new visual effect Test Features for Gravity Cancel, Dodge, high damage knockback, and so much more. These changes are part of a continuing effort to improve the art and competitive clarity of Brawlhalla. Alongside this, we’ve added new and updated illustrations for the base Podium, Sentinel’s base design, and Thatch’s base design.

This update includes new visual effect Test Features! We are testing new effects for Smoke Trails, last aerial Jump cloud, out of Recovery options, Dodge, Wall Touch cloud, and Gravity Cancel. These options are available to try out in the Experimental queue and in Custom Lobbies with Test Features enabled.
  • New Smoke Trails that are relative to the Legend’s velocity. This Test Feature effect does not cover up Weapon Throws.
  • Updated Jump cloud effects for the player's last air Jump.
  • Brand new effect for when a player is completely out of recovering options.
  • Visual updates to Dodge, Wall Touch cloud, and Gravity Cancel effects.
  • These visual effect Test Features are a continuing effort to improve the art and competitive clarity of Brawlhalla!

This update brings new updated illustrations to our base Podium, Sentinel’s base design, and Thatch’s base design.
  • The base Podium has received a visual update with more detail in its overall design and knotwork.
  • Sentinel’s and Thatch’s base designs have also received visual updates to bring their designs more in line with their archetypes. They also feature extra details like Sentinel’s lightning bolt symbol on his attire and Thatch’s new facial expressions.
  • We’ve also updated a few of Thatch’s Skins and all of Sentinel’s Skins to match their updated features.
  • This will be a continuous effort to bring fresh updates to the art of Brawlhalla!




The Gold costs for several Legends have been reduced to be more accessible for players. These reductions are based primarily on their Legend and Weapon release dates.

User Experience

Training Mode

The new free-to-play Legend rotation for this week includes: Gnash, Jiro, Ragnir, Ulgrim, Isaiah, Val, Ember, Scarlet, and Kaya.
  • Gnash – In the darkness, before the dawn of history, this Legend was raised by the harsh jungle itself. This Super Hunter uses Grappling Hammer and Spear in battle.

A rift in space and time has opened up in Atreia: Asmodians and Elyos are using the opportunity to advance into Tiamaranta’s Eye once more. Courageous Daevas are setting out to hunt monsters there, looting valuable chests and careering fearlessly into brutal skirmishes! As rewards for the bravest of them, the [Rune] Box of Triniel’s Apostle Transformation Fragments, the [Event] Greater Rune Selection Box and the [Rune] Vision Weapons Selection Box await.

How the Event Works
Tiamaranta’s Eye awaits you: Pit yourself against other players in PvP, seize victory for your faction in RvR, go monster hunting or scour the region for exquisite chests.

Face off against powerful opponents every day: Defeat Governor Sunayaka and Berserker Sunayaka, and premium rewards will drop for you!


Entering Via the Rift
You can reach Tiamaranta’s Eye via a rift in Gelkmaros or Inggison. Players from any server can join in the fight – the Dimension Hourglass isn’t required to enter.


Inside Tiamaranta’s Eye
Sunayaka will appear as governor or as Berserker Sunayaka in the Commander’s Room in the centre of the area at the following times:
  • At 8 PM every day from Monday to Friday
  • At 12 PM and 10 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
Potential rewards are: Enchantment Stones and Manastones, Minionite, minion contracts, Rune and Odian Fragments, as well as the [Rune] Vision Weapons Selection Box.


Other Rewards
Bundle of Protectorate Gold Coins
You’ll receive the Bundle of Protectorate Gold Coins as a reward for completing quests and for hunting monsters in Tiamaranta’s Eye. You can trade in your bundle for high-quality items with the NPCs Arseus and Lechi.

Treasure Chests
You’ll need keys to open the treasure chests that you will find throughout Tiamaranta’s Eye. You can obtain these from Keymasters, quests or as a drop from monsters.

You’ll receive Lodas’ Silver Star, minion contracts or Rune and Odian Fragments from the treasure chests. As soon as you’ve opened a chest, it will disappear for a time and then reappear later.

Community Announcements - Mayha
This version contains some changes regarding the feedbacks received in the Beta version, which remained in the Live version of the game.

  • Increase in analogic control deadzone.
  • Added two new achievments.
  • SPOILER - Stage 28: Boss's health decreased.
  • Fixed a small bug in the stage selection, where you could move the cursor after selecting the stage.
  • Attempted to fix a bug that caused Sprite to not follow the player at the beginning of the stage (probably on low performance computers). Still in test.

We do not intend to make any more significant changes in level design, this being a special situation. Still, we will pay attention to bugs that significantly affect gameplay, and we will add new languages according to the donations we have received from the community.

This update will add the Craftworld Aeldari to the world of Gladius Prime -- a new fully-featured faction with their very own unique playstyle and storyline once the DLC has launched at 5PM GMT. To bring the existing factions more in line with each other and improve gameplay, it also contains a wide array of balance changes as well as a new neutral unit, new items, new colors, UI improvements, improved post-game stats, bug fixes, new Steam achievements and optional Epic Games Account social integration.

* Improved building hints to say "total" and "limit" instead of "per turn" for loyalty and population limit.

* Added `<groupSize>` unit effect to change current group member count.
* `<summaryExecution>` action is no longer hardcoded and as such no longer supports moraleMin and moraleMax attributes. It's now implemented with generic conditions and effects.
* `<deployFortress>` action now supports `unit` attribute.
* Added `<aiControlled>` and `<notAIControlled>` player conditions.
* Costs and upkeeps can now be modified by traits and upgrade.
* Fixed opponent attacking condition not working.

Patch Notes v0.8.3

Bug Fixes
  • When loading a savegame from v0.8.1 in v0.8.2, the Logistics workers would stop working. We’ve now implemented a function that fixes this problem on the next load of the savegame.
  • Starting a conveyor belt will now correctly cost 1 belt part and canceling that will give back that 1 belt part as before. No more exploits here.
  • A production AI that can’t put down their currently produced item won’t stay in this state when the player switches their produced item to something else.
  • Fixed a start-up problem where the game wouldn’t get to the main menu because of an error in creating the keybindings.json file.
