Player customisation is here! Cash now has another important use - the purchase of skins for your character and your rod!

Adding player customisation also enables the framework for limited-time events; where you are able to earn your new equipment and skin(s) through various limited-time challenges and events. This will work especially well for the upcoming seasonal events, such as Halloween and Christmas.

  • Changed the main screen image to a Halloween themed one

IMPORTANT
  • Added player customisation - you can now change (and purchase) new skins which are available at your fishing rod stand (I plan to actually make a shop where you are able to go and purchase all of your bait, equipment and skins)
  • Added a fish fight boost - adds A LOT more variation to the fish fighting this is dependant on the fish' rarity (the higher the rarity, the increased power a fish may have), along with your level (the higher your level, the more control you will have over the fish)
  • Reworked the "home" map - currently customised for Halloween, but will remain as it is (lesser the Halloween decoration after event)
  • Reworked the collision system - it should now be smoother

  • Changed the fish shadow from white to black when reeling in a fish

Since the completion of LUNA, we immediately decided to devote ourselves to the artbook’s creation. Although it was the first book-design project for us, we wanted to do it as professionally as possible. Just as we learned much during the game development, we wouldn’t be able to gain an understanding of bookmaking without taking on this task directly. Luckily, with all the generous help from friends and family, and after almost half a year, the team was proud of the final result.

LUNA The Shadow Dust - The Artbook is like being backstage of the game - or as we see it, a visual record of the journey from the beginning towards the end. As the game itself does not contain any dialogue, players are given the freedom to enjoy, fantasize, and wonder about the world of LUNA.
In presenting the hardcover copy of the artbook, we hope it will bring further delight and a deeper understanding for you when playing our game. Furthermore, we’d love to share the wonderful game making experience with many more out there. Winter is around the corner, it threatens to demolish you as in the ancient times armoured cars demolished inhabitants of Wastleland. We know you missed “Chase” – don’t worry, everything is still ahead!

Take a look at the fresh Crossout calendar for the last autumn month – probably, it will stir up old fellows` memories. Might, roar, pressure – this sockdolager has everything that avid players love. It can ram through any enemy, thankfully, mass allows it to turn competitors into the bunch of metal.

As for the next release - New Year is coming and together with it a New Year brawl with the artful boss. Don’t doubt the future art will finalize the 2020 calendar collection beautifully.

It’s that wonderful time of year again, when the nights are getting darker, and things are getting a little bit spookier. We’re excited to unveil Halloween 2020 in Boundless!

From 1200 UTC on the 29th October, until the same time on the 12th November, citizens will once again be on the hunt for Spooky Orbs around the Boundless Universe. These are then used to craft Spooky Seeds and all the spooktastic props! This includes returning favourites such as the Pumpkin and Skull Lanterns, as well as the original version of Oorty the Oortling Doll! Of course, we’ve got some new additions to the festivities this year, including the spooky Cauldron prop, and the creepy hanging Bat, grown as a crop upside-down from the ceiling!

Most excitingly, there are 6 brand new Halloween Brews with various themed effects, all of which crafted in the Mixer using Spooky Orbs.
Kraken Brew: Grants the consumer double the air when exploring underwater.
Zombie Lungs Brew: Will give +2 atmosphere protection to all atmospheres when consumed.
Mummy Brew: Sets the weather to Clear for the consumer.
Yeti Brew: Sets the weather to Snowy for the consumer.
Nessie Brew: Sets the weather to Rainy for the consumer.
Gravekeeper’s Brew: Sets the weather to Foggy for the consumer.

We’ve also got some new wearables in the exchange, joining previous year’s offerings such as the Cuttlehugger mask, Oh My Button Eyes, Spiderina and more. We’ve also got two brand new Body Paints we’re really excited about. These were designed by some extremely creative community members, and we can’t wait to see them in the game! Big thanks to GeorgeGroeg and Apt for those.

Of course, we’ve also got a brand new sanctum for you all to enjoy during these two weeks. One of our very talented community members has made this, and it’s really something special!

Throughout the game, players will once again be greeted by special lighting conditions at night, horrifying weather effects, and spooky soundscape to really put you in the Halloween spirit!

Heyho everyone!

...Wow!...What a release! After an already great first weekend the interest and passion gamers all over the world have shown for Partisans 1941 is overwhelming - but we can’t be too overwhelmed, we still have a job to do:

We appreciate all your love for the gameplay, but also the bugs and issues you have brought to our attention during the last 2 weeks. We immediately started to tackle a lot of those with our first patch after the first weekend. And we promised to keep it up. We might not have eradicated every last bug there is yet - but we are on a good path...

These are the changes and fixes that we were able to compile into todays patch:

Some changes only apply if you start the mission again from the base.

General Fixes:

Now it's possible to rebind all the in-game buttons.
Fixed problem with blocked partisans right after mission starts.
Doors are working better now.
Fixed possibility to shoot through doors.
Fixed amount of bullets in the weapons after player places it into the warehouse.
Improved enemy cone of view visualization.
Fixed problem with blocked partisans, who were sent to perform any activity at camp.
Patrol with a dog now reacts correctly after dog's death.
Mines and traps can now be placed on the corpses of enemies.
Fixed an issue with impossibility to save on "Execution" mission.
Increased noise radius while shooting pistols.
Fixed Steam achievements.


Partisans balance fix:

- Belozerova's ability "Fan fire" now has increased radius of shooting. Decreased max distance of ability using.
- Belozerova's ability "Evasion roll" now has increased distance of roll. Strongly decreased cooldown of ability.
- Sanek's ability "Disguise" now can't be activated during combat.
- Nikitin's ability "Massacre" has decreased max distance of ability using.
- Morozov's ability "Whistling" radius is strongly decreased. Ability cooldown is decreased.
- Different abilities which affect character speed now can be saved correctly (for example "Strength" or "Sprinter").


Other fixes and improvements:

- Russian voiceover now is set by default.
- Different art improvement on maps.
- Decreased loading time.
- Localization.

Derail Valley - Altfuture
Hi everyone,

We wanted to give you a quick rundown on how things are going, and where we’re headed. Usually we don’t reveal a lot about what we’re working on, so that our priority shifting would remain agile. This time, however, it will take us longer than usual to show significant results, and we want to keep you informed.

We’re steering our focus toward more long-term development goals. For the next many months, our team will be working on these features, some of which are already in progress:
  • Day and night cycle
  • Dynamic weather
  • Improved simulation for diesel-electric and steam locos
  • Support for more locomotive types (for future use)
  • Basis for train mod support (for future use)
  • Save & user manager
  • Main Menu
  • Sandbox game mode
  • Language localization
We know you’re excited to have these things out as soon as possible, but there's still a long way to go. We’re already doing major changes to locomotive simulation, seeing how other future locomotive types and mod support will tie into it. We’re also deep into testing solutions for day and night cycles and weather changes. Regarding the save manager, main menu and sandbox mode, there’s quite a bit of work to be done too.



All those things will take a while to finish, around the same time actually. We’re slowly starting to see them all grow into a single, major update, coming sometime in 2021. There are no specifics on the date at this point, and there likely won’t be any until the update is almost done and ready to reveal. With this update we’ll probably also roll out the previously announced price increase for new buyers - but more on that later.

Until then, we’ll definitely have several smaller updates, but they won’t include any of the things listed above. We’ll also use this time to squeeze in a few days by the end of this year to release the long-awaited update of our former game, Switchcars.

Our team now counts five developers, three of which are dedicated programmers. We definitely want to speed up development, which is why we’re still hiring. Turns out, finding the right people for the job during the virus outbreak is hardly any fun.

With this news we wanted to set the right expectations for the next couple of updates. It will take us some time to release the stuff that really adds significant value. That said, rest assured that even though it’s not currently visible, our top effort is being put into Derail Valley on a daily basis. The game consistently gets better. Like with Overhauled, the wait will be worth it, and probably also shorter.
