Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up - pH_101
Hi Beta Testers,

I made a few nice fixes today which if working as planned should head off a decent proportion of the few remaining issues I have been hearing about. Thanks for filing those issues! It's only through you filing problems that I become aware of them.

Beta 1.0.5:
-prevent random hard crash when ad checks if it has been seen on same step as it spawns

Beta 1.0.4:

-fix potential crash (corrupt save?) when ad detail array is undefined
-Limit floor wall building behaviour for only specific room, entrance and tunnels to ward off phantom wall bug. The phantom wall bug is the biggest remaining glitch I have come across. Very rarely, after building a room, the game erroneously spawn phantom walls. These are flattened so don't look like walls and are easily missed. Sometimes they block entrances or routes through stairs. Reloading solves the problem, but it creates much confusion both with players and me as I continue to try and fix it. If that sounds familiar and you can figure out how to reproduce it, do let me know.
-remove deprecated perimeter script to limit wall flattening behaviour linked to phantom walls.
-fix ghost doors. cannot replace a door on top of a solid object in a room, which created an unsellable door.
-Fail safe to mitigate train stuck in station and not sending after leaving at exactly night time without power.
-Prevent rare hard crash when checking out of grid zones on network gen

A pirate quartermaster - Iniour
Hello everyone!

Today's update :

Additions and revisions:
- The time to achieve the goal has been revised. From now on, you will have to negotiate with the captain not a time to achieve an objective but rather a time to focus on an objective.
The shorter the duration, the more morale will be impacted in case of success or failure.
This will also give you more opportunity to change objectives if the current one is far away. If a pirate is able to adapt, then a captain and a quartermaster even more!
- The interval before a sailor can get sick again is now longer
- Chances of recovery for seriously ill patients when a sailor is assigned to enhanced care
- Rebalancing of the distribution of gold from cities to ships sent
- If the relationship with the people is "Privileged", then the merchant will be there every watch
- The AI will be less fooled if you close your sails or cut your machines
- Possibility of surprise after the surrender of an enemy
- The "s" of the projectiles orders have been removed, they will now be in the singular
- A few sentences have been rewritten
- Some balancing

Bugs :
- Fixed game endings that were incorrectly displayed
- Fixed a bug that prevented to shoot and reload when you had the "(at will)"
- Fixed a bug that allowed to click on the characters while a menu was open

Optimizations for combat, new animations, barbwire sounds, mic calibration, squad names, QoL fixes, and more!

Gameplay Changes
  • Optimizations for performance during combat, mostly for shooting, that should help relieve frame dips.
  • New animations for all gear (think held equipment, not guns): Hold, activate, walk, sprint, holster, draw
  • New kicking animations: New kick animations in third and first person for all different types of holdable objects.
  • Barbed wire will now make sounds when players are moving inside the wire for all clients in a limited range
  • Fixed incorrect initial health when joining a match already in progress
  • Fixed issue with teamkill reprimands not taking action in some cases
  • Fixed long standing issue where push to talk is stuck on when window loses focus or pressing during loading screen
  • Fixed "VCR bug" caused by server closing due to one team being empty while clients are loading, server now shuts down immediately.
  • Shutter button networking was updated to allow for more than one button to control the same shutters and stay in sync.

UI Updates
  • Mic Calibration Window: This will appear the first time you load into the multiplayer menu to prompt you to calibrate your mic settings.
  • Added Master volume slider, this affects all sounds (even the broken ones), will allow players to change overall volume without having to modify the game volume in windows itself.
  • Added the ability to name your squad. All squads have a randomly generated name upon formation. Naming your squad will show up for other players in game.
  • Add UI option to disable custom squad names, should you not want to see them.
  • Add player profile window to view a player's stats or open their steam profile
  • Replace "View Steam Profile" with "View Player Profile" in user actions dropdown
  • Added UI feature to show info about your profile and rank in the top right corner of the menu
  • Moved some overlapping UI elements around on the menu and in-game.
  • Added labels for Relevancy/Ranked/Matches Played on player's icons in the menu

Extra note:
One of our recent updates have introduced a number of issues with players and items disappearing or being invisible. This makes the whole game feel unreliable at times and we are investigating the situation. We are planning to issue hotfixes as we investigate to improve the situation.
