The best TIE Bomber loadout in Star Wars Squadrons

The Bomber class is possibly the strongest ship type in Star Wars: Squadrons upon release, and the Empire’s heavy TIE Bomber is no exception with its high health pool, extreme damage potential, and power conversion capabilities.

Below you’ll find not only the best TIE Bomber loadout I’ve come across, but quite possibly the strongest loadout in the entire game as of the time of writing. So what are we waiting for? Let’s dive right in!

A photo showing the front of the RTX 3070

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 is very nearly here. It’s the third [cms-block] GPU that’s being released this year, and we finally know how when it’s releasing and going on sale, as well as much it’s going to cost. Set to deliver faster performance than Nvidia’s previous flagship graphics card for a fraction of the cost, the RTX 3070 could be one of the most interesting GPU releases of recent years, so here’s a quick reminder of everything you need to know about Nvidia’s new Ampere GPU, including its price, specs and release date.

A photo of Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang holding the RTX 3070.

Nvidia have confirmed that the [cms-block] will launch on October 29th, just a day after the planned reveal of AMD’s upcoming [cms-block] GPUs. The RTX 3070 is the third and final graphics card of Nvidia’s currently announced new Ampere family to come out this year, following on from the launch of the [cms-block] and [cms-block] last month. It’s due to deliver RTX 2080 Ti-level speeds for a fraction of the cost, practically guaranteeing that its shelf life is going to be even more short-lived than either of its still sold out Ampere siblings.

Screenshot Saturday Sundays isn’t dead! Having retreated to the Scottish Highlands to take real-life screenshots of bugs, frogs and all sorts of nonsense, we return to the big city this weekend for another round-up of virtual pics, gifs, and videos. This week: Lurkers in the forest, urban flight, next-door neighbours and a wibbly wobbly swordfight.

Sundays are for taking a trip to Aldi to stock up on mozzarella and sundried tomato pots, because those are the only thing I’d eat if they ever had more than two tubs on the shelves at a time. Ignore the sweet oil though, and instead wash down your own mouthfuls of cheese with some of the week’s best writing about (mostly) games.

A few years ago, writer Jon Bois wrote a science fiction story about satellites in the future who are obsessed with American football. It was glorious, and now there’s a sequel, or rather a second chapter. It’s called 20020. An inspiration to us all.

As I understand, every single person over the age of 25 took up baking the second lockdown went into effect. Granted, I did not, and that’s probably because the process of baking seems about as complicated as its representation in upcycling puzzler Traption Bakery. Released this week, Jon Prestidge’s lovingly-drawn construct ’em up asks you to turn piles of garbage into a self-sufficient baking monstrosity.

For every action, there must be an equal and opposite reaction. As such, it is only natural that Microsoft Flight Simulator‘s massive hole in the ground be countered by two spear-like pillars of earth on the other side of the globe. Despite last week’s World Update re-jigging the nation’s terrain, pilots this week discovered these colossal spikes bursting out of the Japanese countryside.

Out of all the -tober suffix trends, I think Blocktober might be my favourite. The now-annual level design hashtag has become a fascinating insight into the grey, blocky roots of all sorts of games. As a bonus, this year sees Hades developers Supergiant jumping onto the bandwagon with a distressingly art-free look at the mythological roguelike’s level design process.

Kentucky Route Zero: PC Edition - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Natalie Clayton)

Looking back, I reckon Kentucky Route Zero‘s third act might’ve been the best of the lot. That it was the act to introduce wandering musicians Johnny and Junebug playing no small part in that impression. This week, the fictional duo took their music out of the supernatural road trip with an EP full of sad robot love songs – a perfect soundtrack for getting lonely with on these rainy October afternoons.

Gamers – they aren’t just basement dwellers any more. Shocking, I know, but such is the premise of a bizarre 3D browser gallery opened by Activision Blizzard earlier this week. A free, tiny shrine to corporate art, the publishing giant’s demographic-driven collection of prints have “levelled up” historical forms to create one of the strangest browser spaces I’ve ever attended.

Yes, even stranger than that cyberspace Oregon Country Fair.
