Hexagon Heroes - JPoppa
I'm very exciting for this update! I think this really starts to put different units into different tiers. We now have two heroes and a third on the way! Well lets get to it

Brody the Brawler

Brody is a melee hero! Brody comes with four different abilities.

Ground smash
Brody powers up his mace and slams it into an opposing unit! That unit is then stunned and takes massive damage!

Battle Shout
Brody yells fiercely increasing instantly recovering HP and then recovering HP over the next few turns. He also increases his AP and DP for the duration of this buff.

Sweeping Strike
Brody pull his mace back and damages enemies in an arch. This ability will damage the target tile along with anyone standing next to the target, including your own units! Be careful! Another unique feature about this attack is that it only has a cool down of one turn!

Intense Focus
Brody takes a moment to focus, regaining all of his AP this turn. This is good for getting out of or into situations!

This combination of skills allows Brody to get in and out of combat quickly and all gives him a lot of durability!

Combining Units
I'm very excited about this concept. It should bridge the gap between the tier 1 units and the heroes by quite a bit. When playing the game before, you could obviously tell that the heroes were just so much stronger than the tier 1 units that it was almost a race to the hero tech. Well with this feature, you can take two tier one units and combine them into a tier 2 unit. i.e take two tier 1 warrior and combine them into a tier 2 warrior. A tier two warrior will essentially be as strong as two tier 1 units but only take up one space.

Buffs & Debuffs
Buffs and debuffs have been in the game for awhile but there wasn't a visual representation for them in the game. For this update, we added a swirling debuff spinner above every character in the game. If you have a buff.. or a debuff.. it'll show up there and be something you can see at a glance.

That's it!
Until next time

The Perfect Shape - imperfectg20
Adding fun to the game while keeping the core idea is not always easy,
but thankfully there are great people who saw potential in this game and took further action and gave us the feedback they thought could make the game better. And they were right!
We listened , and made the change in the game - right from the first test already felt better. The numbers that were present on every platform were a major drawback taking away too much of the fun from the play. Now the platforms have only two states that are represented by a strong visual representation making it is easier for the player to recognize and decide on his next move on the go. We believe this update will make the game a lot more fluid without taking away the challenge aspect of the game.
Snapshot VR - techboy
v2.1.3 is LIVE with a few nice-to-haves for our upcoming Steam Open 5v5 Tournament on October 3rd
Make sure to join our Discord to participate in the tournament. Entry is free and the prizes are pretty sick...image at the bottom of this post.

Set your Room to `Competitive Mode` for a more tournament-ready experience. This mode blocks out the window views from the pits and limits voice chat to live teammates only. This is the mode we'll be debuting in the tournament this Saturday.

We've also added a new `Featured Arenas` tab to the Arena selection panel, which currently features the 3 layouts we'll be using in the tournament.

Last but not least, a few new cosmetics are making an appearance with my favorite being this animated party hat. Free for all players.

And...for a sneak peak...our top 3 tournament teams this weekend will be the FIRST to have custom gun skins in Snapshot! Who is going to claim the gold? See you on Saturday on the Giant Scam Twitch!

Little Square Things - greed

I told you - 16storybits
Two weeks after the demo's release, players agree that boxing mechanics are difficult to control and that the overall difficulty of the game is too high.

A new version of the demo has just been released with the following changes:

  • Improved boxing controls.
  • Redesign of certain levels to clarify the path the player should take.
  • A new "easy mode" that reduces the overall difficulty of the game. Enable it in the "Settings" menu.
Approaching Infinity - IBOL17
Approaching Infinity has always been a game where you play until you die and then start a new game. OK, that's fine. But what if it wasn't?

What happens when you unlock a new ship or character class and want to start with those? Either you abandon the current game, wait it out, or go for a quick win. All fine, but what if you didn't have to?

Introducing Multiple Concurrent Games!

You can now run up to 9 individual games at once!

This does not mean you can have 9 copies of the same game saved in different slots... I'm not supporting that kind of behavior in a rogue-like at this time. (But I won't try to stop you from copying your saves in the local file system either...)

This is all happening in the Beta branch which anyone can join. Let me know if you have any problems.

I even designed the new system to incorporate your old save into the new format, so that you won't lose your current game. I really don't like breaking your saves :)

There are also some other little features and upgrades in this one, but I won't go into detail here.

What about "Hails"?

Oh, yeah, that's still a thing... talking to alien ships is pretty important in a space game!

There haven't been any big problems with the hailing feature, and there's been a lot of positive feedback on it, so you can expect that to come to the main branch this Friday!

Rushdown Revolt - tribes

This is not a drill. This is not a drill. It's a 30:00 video!

Senpai has noticed us! Give this video a watch (and to let him know you want more RushRev content, give @PG_ESAM 's video a big thumbs up!!!)
Serin Fate - Vethergen
Hey everyone! For those of you playing Serin Fate already, I hope it’s been a good experience. Any feedback you may have is very appreciated, so please leave a review on Steam -- It is the absolute best way to support the project.

Now, as the holiday season approaches, so comes the time for the next big content update, which is going to be AWESOME!! I really think this next one is going to round a lot of edges...
Let’s check out some of the additions in September.

As you’d expect, development continues in the Nymbus Isles.

Which brings lots of new Items you can find, craft and use.

And new environments to traverse, like this shallow water… Be careful! Being in the shallows will slowly regenerate some HP, but can be deadly in a lightning storm!

Now… Perhaps the coolest addition this month is the complete re-work of combat.
Combat is now much more engaging, and fun! You can finally wield and use Swords & Staffs to fight enemies (along with other semi-combative items).

Here is me wielding a Nature Staff. Staffs have the awesome ability to charge up by holding the attack button - Doing so will consume Mana but yield MUCH greater damage!

There are many other changes with the combat, and how it now functions with Chimera, but we’ll save that for another time.

Lastly, there are countless little changes and functionality improvements, like this new status display, tree wiggle shader, and placement-range indicator.

Trees may start to wobble in rain and storms, for a fun visual, and will scare off any flyers that were atop.

The ability to hide the display, is great for a screenshot, or just cleaning up the clutter.

And these indicators make designing your garden and Chimera pens much easier, and spatially efficient!

I hope you like the progress, and are as excited as I am for the next content update that will be coming!
I’d love to chat with you on Discord, and hear your ideas and thoughts. Together we can make Serin Fate the best it can be.

Thank you all for your interest in Serin Fate and joining me onward down the road of development.

Lastly here are some super awesome fanarts from the Serin Fate Discord:
