For most, Among Us is a game fraught with tension, with lies and deceit. It pops 4-10 players onto a spaceship which needs some tuning up for departure, but one or more folks is a killer bent on murdering everyone. A chat function ensures each game descends into psychological warfare. Bodies are reported, emergency meetings are called, accusations fly. Everyone votes, then someone gets ejected into space.
Meanwhile, I sit quietly in chat. Sure, murder is very exciting, but my mind is elsewhere, on the oh-so-satisfying rewiring that needs doing.
In Among Us, your ability to lie to strangers and friends alike will be tested heavily. Well, one way to make it harder to get found out is by blanking out your name. At time of writing, this issue has been patched out of the PC version, but if you’re playing Among Us on mobile, you’ll still be able to do this. Here’s how to have no name in Among Us.
A little shouting is to be expected when playing a Serious Sam game, considering one of the enemies is a headless fella with bombs for hands who’ll come charging over the horizon with an “aaaAAAAAAAAA!”, but Croteam’s latest circle-strafing shooter did bring some bad shouting too. When Serious Sam 4 launched last Thursday, some players were yelling at technical issues including crashes and poor performance. But the devs put out a wee hotfix patch on Friday night, focused on fixing crashes, so it should be in a better state now if you wanna get back to the good shouting.
Crusader Kings 3, with its army-raising, dynasty-creating, and kinslaying, can keep you occupied for hours on end. That’s why it came as a terrible surprise when my version of the game wouldn’t open. Terrifying stuff. I fixed it though! Here’s how to fix Crusader Kings 3’s launch issues.
Everything’s delayed this year, even the games no one actually announced. The oft-rumoured remasters of the original Mass Effect trilogy have been delayed, according to a new rumour, though this isn’t too surprising/disappointing given that we don’t know for certain they’re actually real. Rumours had said EA were revamping the first three Mass Effect games for release this October, or at least by March 2021, and the latest whispers say Mass Effect: Legendary Edition come in early 2021. I mean, given that EA still haven’t even announced any such project, I’m not surprised that it wouldn’t be coming next month.
Just when you thought you couldn’t possibly cram any more RGB LEDs into your gaming setup, HyperX have gone and announced their newly rainbow-fied Quadcast S streaming microphone. Now equipped with fully customisable RGB lighting, the latest version of HyperX’s standalone USB microphone allows you to pick your colours, brightness level, pattern and speed for that complete RGB streaming experience.

Amazon Prime Day is officially taking place on October 13-14th, Amazon have announced. Their big Prime Day sale normally takes place in mid-July, but this year the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has pushed back Amazon’s big day of deals to the autumn, bringing it dangerously close to this year’s Black Friday deals.
Here’s everything we know so far about the official Prime Day date, how to get a good deal and what’s likely to be on sale. We also take a look back at the best deals from last year’s Amazon Prime Day to give you a better idea about the type of gaming deals you can expect to see on Prime Day 2020.
They Came From A Communist Planet
opens when you’re abducted from your miserable inner city room by aliens who tell you, among other things: “Capitalism offers no future. It can only seal off the exits.”
As everyone in Britain knows, you shouldn’t turn your heating on until October at earliest. November, ideally. But if you give up in September, you’re a coward. Even if autumn does seem a whole lot more miserable than you remember. Time to dig my layers out the back of the wardrobe, I suppose.
What are you playing this weekend? Here’s what we’re clicking on!

Up until now, it sure felt like we didn’t know a lot about “looter-slasher” Godfall aside from the fact that it’s an action game that looks quite colorful and shiny. Well say no more, Gearbox Publishing and Counterplay Games have gone and dumped a whole trove of combat details on the ground. I’m going to spend about as long sorting through information about these various attack types as I likely will my in-game inventory.
