Cannon Fire in the Banquet Hall

In our **Halloween event**, you can use your new special abilities with the cannon. Titania at the Eldritch Academy in Pora Elinu can teleport you to the banquet hall. For participating in the event, you’ll earn candies that you can exchange with Ellonia for spooktacular prizes such as almighty spooky steeds, creepy costumes, and the new stamps for the fall: Autumn Dreams and Windswept Maple Leaves. First of all, we are happy to announce the release date of The Guise, and it is October 20!
For this event, we have prepared for you the final Gameplay Trailer of the game:
A free updated demo version is now available on Steam, providing you with ~30 amazing levels of the game – about 30 minutes of pure joy.
What's new in the updated demo version:
Numerous gameplay improvements and bugfixes;

New Difficulties: Easy and Demonic
- You can change the difficulty by talking to Master Shi at the Pavilion of Spirits. - Demonic difficulty will be unlocked when you finish the game on Normal difficulty.
# New Contents - Soul Crystal and Trial Tokens
The Soul Crystal system will be unlocked when you finish the game on Normal difficulty. Afterward, in Normal and Demonic games, the souls you carry will be transformed into Soul Crystal after the trial. Gather some Soul Crystals, then talk to Master Stone at the Soul Pavilion to activate the Trial Token, which will open up harder challenges!
# New Contents - Soul Idol and Soul Charms
Soul Charms can be collected through the Reincarnation Trials and equipped on Soul Idol to strengthen your character~. Special combinations of Soul Charms can also activate Soul Spell to further enhance your character~~.
- Raven: Appear in the Pavilion of Spirits when all talents of the current character are unlocked, speak with them to unlock the Soul Idol system. - Old Crone: new Trials unlocking item [Soul Charms Merchant].

- Zanbatou: shortened Whirlwind Slash stamina time; fixed a sound error of Xilvaron. - Flamebrand: Firewave attacks have been implemented in a new way, increasing the damage factor to 1.5, decreasing the hit protection time to 0.3 seconds, and causing 3 hits in certain situations. - Double Bladed Staff: reduce the knockback distance of some attacks. Whirlwind Slash has been modified to have the "Guard Break" effect on the entire attack action. - Starcrusher: modify parry to not consume energy; add description of knockback effect. - Sickle & Chain Weapons: shorten the startup animation of swing attacks; fix inconsistency in the backswing of some characters. - Sledgehammer Weapons: unify the timing of attack cancellations. - Rattan Shield & War Fork: add the "Guard Break" effect to the first hit of the shield attack.

- Automatically pauses the game when selecting items. - When you use a controller, now you can unlock the target by pushing the right stick in the opposite direction of the target. - After the first time you finish the game on Normal difficulty, the Soul Room no longer requires all Souls to be consumed before opening the door. - The negative effects of the player character will be cleared when you finish the battle in the Challenge Rooms and Survival Trials. - Modify the music and sound effects of some levels. - All effects that change movement speed by percentage will now be changed to a fixed value. - When a unit's movement speed is reduced, limit its movement speed to no less than 30% of its original movement speed. - When the player character leaves the room and comes back,chests or characters that created by triggers will appear where they were appeared before, not where they were when the player left the room. Avoid getting monsters stuck in weird places that prevent you from finishing the battle. - Implement the process of expanding the field of view in darkness, fog, and other situations. - Refine the flying mechanic, flying units can move across low barriers, but not through medium and high barriers. - Refine the implementation of the Charm mechanic. - Teammates no longer scald the player character.

- Improve display of boss HP bar. - Enhance the blinking effect of the grid on the map, so that players can confirm the current location when teleporting. - Improve the display of practice unlock hints. - Improve the pictures for mouse operation instructions. - Add an option in the settings to control the number of relics displayed on the right side of the main screen. - When there are too many buffs displayed on the main screen, it will automatically change to thumbnail mode so that more buffs can be displayed at the same time. - Display the number of items in the item selection UI; add small icons to indicate the position of the currently selected item in the item sequence. - Replaced the screenshot used for item details in the instructions with the new version. - When entering the Pavilion of Spirits, use a gradient background for scene names; the display position is moved to the bottom of the screen. - Use a gradient background for the Boss names display. - Fading effect added to the pickup info UI at the top of the screen to prevent flickering.

- Fix an issue where some text is displayed in the wrong language when the level progress UI is displayed for the first time. - Fix the problem that pressing the arrow keys in the Talents UI will play wrong sounds after the talents of the current character are fully unlocked. - Fix an issue with incorrectly retaining the [Immaculate Integrity] status when the player character is injured and then save/load the game. - Fix the problem that the speech text may be displayed on the wrong character's head. - Fixe the problem that the afterimage of Japhriel's Flamechain Sickle was displaying incorrectly. - Fix AI problem for allies using Double Bladed Staff. - Sage Ring: Fix an issue where blunderbuss's Bombard attack would not trigger its effect; fix an issue where the last hit on an enemy would not trigger its effect.

Saturday update: Fixed some teleporting bugs that caused players to not be able to teleport in certain areas in the arena, hopefully that should be fixed now. Next up: Making some needed edits to the Steam store and trailer. Have a great weekend everyone!
Placement was released three years ago today. In celebration of this, I have made the game free forever. It is currently available for free on https://chainsawkitten.itch.io/placement, a popular platform for indie games and it will become free on Steam as soon as Valve have reviewed my request to do so. I have also released the source code for the game on GitHub, a popular platform for hosting open source projects.
I have also released a free sequel.
Placement Colors
Placement Colors is the sequel to Placement, and builds on the concept in the first game by introducing both black and white pieces. The game contains over 100 new levels.
The game now remembers one's window position and restores it during the next playing session if played in windowed mode. This also should prevent game window caption from being hidden behind Windows taskbar, if it is placed on the top edge of the screen.
Fixed a minor visual glitch, which probably no one noticed anyway. It was related to brightness of 2x2 gem blocks when they are split back into small ones to give way for Options menu or Match Results popup.
Since the launch of the English localization edition, we’ve been receiving lots of attention, kind support, and feedback from our players worldwide, among which we notice that many of you are asking about the English mod support.
Currently, the English Mod Editor is still under testing but fully open to our modders. Our devs are working on fine-tuning English modding tools and updating the mod developer manual. In the meantime, we hope to encourage our players to take a shot at creating some English mods, which will help the devs better troubleshoot potential modding problems as well as bring new energy to our global modding community.
Special Modding Event #2
During the first Sands of Salzaar Modding Event in May, our incredible modders fully unleashed their power of creativity and imagination, developing a variety of inspiring mods. This time, we decided to open the second Special Modding Event to players worldwide, encouraging our English players to get started on mod development as well. Here are the general event rules:
The Modding Event is open from Sept. 26th to Oct. 18th to players worldwide.
All Event mods need to be uploaded to Steam Workshop.
For English mods, modders need to tag their Event mods with “[Mod Event]” at the beginning of their mod names, e.g. “[Mod Event] Medieval map”.
We will select some best mods among the entries and offer their modders special prizes, including one First Prize worth $1100, two Second Prize worth $740 each, three Third Prize worth $370 each, and 10 Participation Prize worth $70 each.
To help English modders understand how to use the Mod Editor, the devs have prepared a full documentation of English mod development in the official wiki and will keep updating the manual with instructional videos in the future. If you encounter any problems when creating English mods, please join us on our Discord and our team will be there ready to answer any questions and help solve your modding issues.
Pick Localized Mods in Workshop
There are already hundreds of mods available in Steam Workshop, featuring custom maps, new characters, themes, perks and more. To provide English players with a more diverse gaming experience, some of our modders have uploaded their localized mods to Workshop. If you wanna subscribe to these mods, go to the Workshop in-game and select “English Localized Mods” in the drop-down menu at the upper-left corner of the screen to browse the list.
Please note that these mods may contain some untranslated parts and bugs, but the modders in our community are willing to listen to your feedback and optimize their work. There will be more translated mods coming in the future. If you want to see your favorite mod or a particular type of mods to be localized, leave your comments below or in our Discord!
I first want to thank everyone who played INFLUXIS from the start and after the update, your feedback really is especially important for me. However, now that I started college, I am very busy and have pretty much no time to spend on game dev so during holidays will be the main period where I could deliver more content. Therefore, the next update will probably be up only starting December. Nonetheless I would like to know what you guys would like me to focus more on the next update so I have a couple of propositions:
