Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG - Stormtrooper
Dear subscribers and residents of the Dome, the latest issue of "CRONUS Weekly" is once again on your screens. Today we will talk about the revival of cultural life, discoveries of biologists and testing of the panacea.
Return of movie theaters
When we say that the Dome has become a new center of the world, it’s not only because of science and technology. We know how important it is to support culture and art, that's why we are happy to present the first full-length film made under the Dome.
Deader than dead is an exciting adventure movie, highly appreciated by cultural consultants of the Silver Wing. The film combines an exciting plot and a deep humanistic message. The movie is fully filmed and edited under the Dome, and its actors instantly became worldwide stars! You can watch this unique artistic expression very soon in any cinema around the globe or on the screens of your terminals with an extended subscription to CRONUS originals.
Cockroach soldier
In the past, when we were all afraid of a possible atomic war, everyone knew that cockroaches could survive even a nuclear winter. Thanks to the discovery of the Dome, world powers maintain a balance, but cockroaches can still surprise us!
Truth to be told, they evolve rapidly under the influence of the Dome environment. For example, look at this handsome guy! In the hive, he takes the role of a soldier. On his head he has spikes that can penetrate the car metal, and his shell is difficult to break for the most ordinary bullets. Fortunately, everything is under control, and White Wing biologists control every creature. These mutants won’t be able to escape!
Cure for all diseases
Just 10 years ago, a person could die from an infection with a simple splinter. You had to drink tons of medicines and hope for the best if you wanted to cure yourself. The technologies found under the Dome have turned our idea of medical science upside down. Now most diseases, injuries and even gunshot wounds can be cured in a matter of hours with medical bags.
A brand new Stimpack is looking for volunteers for testing. This is a simple formality that will cure the test subjects of any illness. White Wing physicians claim it to be harmless and with no side effects. The device has already been tested by the top executives of the corporation. Now it's your turn!
New expedition
The world of the future calls for the strongest! On September 24, the Against The Moon universe will open its gates for pathfinders.
Chthonic monsters of the Moon run rampant on the Earth. Only brave defenders can resist the infinitely strong enemy. Intelligent Arx citadel asks for your help, brave employees. Throw the invader a challenge in card battles, sacrifice heroes for the common good and control three characters at once. The whole planet has risen to repel the invasion and fight the last battle Against The Moon!

We are considering a number of potential changes to crafting. Please note that these are being discussed at an early stage of development, and there is consequently a greater than normal likelihood and scope for these changes to be revised prior to their inclusion in a patch. We also plan to introduce new Runes and Glyphs, however these will not be in Patch 0.7.10.
Fractures
Since the core of Last Epoch's crafting system was implemented in Patch 0.4 in January 2018, items in Last Epoch have changed dramatically. We've added several new rarities: Unique Items in Patch 0.4.1, Set Items in Patch 0.6, and Exalted Items in Patch 0.7.9. Set Affixes for regular items were also added in Patch 0.6, and as we've created content for higher level characters we have been creating more powerful Unique Items with higher level requirements.
The game calling out that a fracture has occurred.
Minor, Damaging, and Destructive Fractures were implemented in Patch 0.4, and were intended to prolong the item hunt by introducing an element of risk on player's journey to the holy grail... which at the time was four Tier 5 non-set affixes on a piece of equipment.
As higher-end equipment options become available, the need to gate access to less powerful items diminishes. We are currently experimenting with making some adjustments to both Damaging Fractures and Destructive Fractures, but not Minor Fractures.
Current Functionality
Damaging Fracture
Item can no longer be crafted on.
All affixes are reduced by 1-5 tiers.
Affixes reduced below Tier 1 are removed.
Destructive Fracture
Item can no longer be crafted on.
All affixes are removed.
Potential New Functionality
Damaging Fracture
Item can no longer be crafted on.
One affix has its tier reduced by 1-2.
This cannot bring an affix below Tier 1.
Destructive Fracture
Item can no longer be crafted on.
Between two and four affixes have their tiers reduced by 1-2.
This cannot bring an affix below Tier 1.
We'll be looking at Glyphs after making these changes.
Critical Success
An issue with crafting we wish to address is that fractures inherently highlight a craft going particularly poorly, however there is no equivalent for a craft going spectacularly well. This leads to crafting feeling worse, as there is undue focus on the potential for being unlucky.
A mockup of a callout for the 'critical success' feature.
We are thus experimenting with the addition of a counterpoint for fractures, which we are tentatively terming a 'critical success'. A critical success will be called out similarly to a fracture, and will cause an affix to be upgraded to a higher tier. This is most likely, but not guaranteed, to be the affix you had been crafting at the time. Please note that a critical success cannot raise an affix above Tier 5, which is the highest tier that can be crafted.
A critical success cannot occur if it would raise an item's level requirement above your current level. We're still discussing how much instability (if any) a critical success will add.
Those who have been following the game's development for a while might know that I've been trying to find an interesting role for the house building, to avoid it simply being a space-occupying time-sink the player is compelled to build as their town grows. My attempts to add more interesting mechanics to this building have mostly been overly complex and unintuitive, so the time has come to try simplification instead. This update removes the house and changes how population works, hopefully streamlining some aspects of the game and sidestepping some complicated edge cases, such as when the player migrates villagers between towns. This one took a while to get out, blame it on the beautiful summer weather 🌞
v0.8.3.0: Population and Housing
Population is now globally shared across all cities.
Houses have been removed from tier 1 and tier 2. Instead, town halls grant 25 population.
Farms and pastures are now separate buildings, with new visuals!
Fixed a memory leak that could cause the game to crash after several hours.
Fixed an issue where sounds would stop playing after a while.
Numerous tweaks to animations and sprites.
Fixed bugs related to passive abilities, dropoff points, and worker AI.
Today is a regular stream day, but many of you probably don't know that, so I thought I'd get you up to speed.
I stream three (3) days a week over on Twitch doing development and AMA's.
I'm live right now if you want to come by. I won't announce here every time I'm live, so be sure to follow if you want to stay up to date on live updates.
Now that most of the release bugs have been addressed we are back to feature and optimization work. Moving forward you can expect Major content pushes twice a month, with hotfixes and minor patches sprinkled in between, depending on severity of issues.
This patch brings you introduction to our lore card system - find out more information on the Kingdom of Arbidum with each tome found in the dungeons! More to be added in the coming months. Along with this we have some major optimizations for our friends on lower end hardware, and some tweaks once again to difficulty. Check out full details below
