Xsyon - Prelude - Xsyon
Mounts have arrived in the world of the apocalyptic fantasy sandbox MMORPG Xsyon!

Recently the taming and keeping of pets was added to the game. Now, several pet types can be mounted and ridden.

Pets can also assist in combat to attack creatures in the wild and, on the War Server, other players.

In addition, the user interface has been revised and simplified based on player feedback. Actions requiring tools now auto-equip the required tools assigned to each action. Cumbersome panels have been removed and replaced by simpler action bars. Action bars can be placed and orientated based on the custom desires of individual players. Key binds can be assigned to nearly all in game actions.

The arrival of mounts is one of many long awaited features to be recently added to the game. Recent improvements include:

- Fully redone AI system, including greatly improved path finding and reactions.
- Redone net commands to synchronize player and creature movements and actions.
- Revised combat included greater responsiveness and newly implemented parry and dodge actions.
- Rebalancing stats of all in game creatures. Creatures can breed, grow powerful with age and combat experience.
- Animal taming and pets.
- Stables for keeping and displaying multiple pets.
- Creature migration system ensuring that creatures can be found throughout the game world.
- Naming of legendary creatures by players.

Many more improvements are in the works and ready for final tests before going live. Patches will continue to roll out every 2 to 4 weeks. Upcoming patches will include:

- Additional stable styles, sizes and functions
- Animal breeding and trading
- Further user interface improvements and customization
- Artisan and Master Weapons
- Ranged combat
- Achievements
- Improvements and minor features based on player suggestions and requests
- Much more!

This patch series is the culmination of two years of hard work and I thank all you Xsyon players for your patience and assistance with testing and feedback.

Good news is, we joined a local game development contest a while ago and we reached the finals! On the 5th of September, we will present Mage Rage to big shots of the game development industry of Turkey.

Bad news is, we won’t be able to work on the game and push any updates until 6th of September.

Girl Genius is the brainchild of Phil & Kaja Foglio, telling the epic story of Agatha Heterodyne, a genius “Spark” in a Vernian world of airships, steam clanks and MAD SCIENCE! The Industrial Revolution is in full swing, and the power struggle is on, in an alternate, high fantasy version of Europe. As Agatha discovers her true family lineage, she finds herself at the center of an ancient conflict between the warring powers of Europe, and must take her seat at the table as a “True Heterodyne”.

Ahoy there lads!

My lovely game has been cursed with inconsistent framerate issues which randomly pop by and I think that I have finally fixed the issue once and for all! Buy a better toaster. I changed the internal settings to alternate the synchronization method which has made things significantly more reliable.

There was another bug from the depths of hell sent to rain torment on my peace of mind which caused crew names to duplicate inexplicably. After months of ceaseless searching I've decided to just say "The outcome of exerting the time and energy to see this bug fixed does not outweigh the consequences of not seeing this bug fixed." so now it's a feature! In the rare event that this bug attacks your precious save file, you'll encounter a new event of finding a stowaway aboard!

There have also been some exciting things happening on the Discord channel, climb aboard and say "Ahoy!" if you're curious!
