One of the biggest discounts that’s come out of Intel’s Gamer Days promotion is up to £300 / $400 on Razer’s Blade 15 laptop. There have been loads of different models on sale over the past couple of days across a wide variety of UK and US retailers, so I thought I’d gather together all the very best deals from across the web into one handy location. All of them come with a free copy of Marvel’s Avengers, and if you’re in the UK, there are lots of great Razer bundles around, too, which get you a Blade 15 laptop, plus a Razer headset and mouse and mouse mat all in one package.
Square Enix’s Luminous Productions studio are keeping their mysterious game Project Athia under wraps for now, but they have revealed more of the technology it’s built on, the Luminous Engine. At a Japanese conference this week, the gang of former Final Fantasy XV folks gave a talk including a demonstration of its world editor, and they’ve kindly put it on YouTube for all to see. If you like tech demo videos where landscapes rise up and flora sprouts with a sweep of the cursor, you might enjoy their pretty little woodland.

Next week we’ll be invited to visit a particularly dirty corner of the Warhammer 40,000 universe in Necromunda: Underhive Wars, a turn-based tactical squad game from the studio behind Mordheim: City Of The Damned. Based vaguely on the Games Workshop tabletop wargame Necromunda, Underhive Wars is set in the bowels of a vast city on an industrial planet, where wacky gangs brawl over the dregs of the dregs. It’s a far cry from the usual world-saving heroism of Space Marines (though crotchskulls are still worn). A new 10-minute narrated trailer shows and explains a whole lot of how the game works, so come see.
