Wanted to let everyone know that we did a small patch this weekend that also sets up our next update.
Update 1.3 Live
First up, we just did a small update where we fixed some bugs in the inventory when using mouse control which sometimes resulted in lost items, or using items at the wrong time. Steam should have auto-updated you to version 1.3 to get this patch. This was something rare and that had been eluding us for a while, but we were able to finally pin down how to reproduce it and got it fixed. Now using the mouse with the inventory should work well, let us know if you see any other issues inventory-wise.
But also in this build is the wiring for something you won't actually SEE until our next patch. We've introduced a new system that tracks and saves what you collect in each game playthrough, and we're working on a cool way to display that in game, both so you can review it when you're not in the middle of a difficult infiltration but also to help you track how much of the game you've uncovered. We'll be introducing that patch in September, but slipped some of the infrastructure for it into this build, so it'll start tracking what you've collected in games as of now. I'm being a little nebulous here because I want to have it be a bit of a surprise when you release the feature later, but I think you'll like it.
And as always, if you see anything weird or buggy in this build or any build, let us know in the comments below!
LudoNarraCon Swag Sent & Received
As I mentioned in our last update, we had a great time showing at LudoNarraCon - if you signed up to receive some swag as part of that you should have received your little care package in the mail by now. We know at least one fan in Sweden got theirs:
We've also got one more secret in our cult, which will be cool for people who have purchased the True Believer special edition (which comes with our soundtrack and some nice Behind the Scenes videos). We're hoping to share something about that in the next few weeks.
For now, remember to let us know in the comments below what you think, or if you spot any issues in the new build. And check back for more updates soon and good luck in the jungle!

Hope you're all enjoying "Space Bar at the End of the Galaxy", we certainly enjoyed making this game so we hope that our enthusiasm has translated into a fun experience for all. We want to address a few things as I think they may have inadvertently lead to people having a subpar experience with this game.
1. The Patch. If you want to enjoy the game with all it's features you need to put in the patch. You can find the instructions on the store page. If you see an animation of an asteroid flying by during your gameplay, then you know your patch wasn't installed.
2. False Ending. So, we decided to have some fun and put in a false ending when you fail to convince Diana that you are Prinz Eugen . This is actually a mission fail, but we figured it would be cool to write in an attempted escape and some people took this to be the end of the game and complained that it's too short. I'll give a little clue if everything goes to plan, you do get the secret formula then lots more story after that
Anyway, just wanted to clear those things up so you can set it up right before starting the game!
Arcade: -Removed the requirement for players to reach a certain score to unlock the next game -Increased the player fire rate for Dogfight
-Story: -Decreased score requirements for each game:
Unlocking Ball Protectors: 500 -> 400
Unlocking Submariner: 300 -> 200
Unlocking Sector Breach: 1000 -> 500
Unlocking Dogfight: 800 -> 500
Corrupted Zombies Story Trigger: 500 -> 400
Corrupted Ball Protectors Story Trigger:: 300 -> 200
Corrupted Submariner Story Trigger: 1000 -> 500
Corrupted Sector Breach Story Trigger: 800 -> 500
Corrupted Dogfight Story Trigger: 600 -> 300
-Corrupted Arcade: -Fixed an issue where the player isn't able to open some games from the corrupted arcade menu -Fixed an issue where the corrupted arcade games wouldn't give the player a game over when they should -Fixed an issue where in Sector Breach where the station would be white when damaged instead of red
-Achievements: -Updated the images for the following achievements
Unlock Corrupted Arcade
Whoops...
Uh oh...
I should probably download an antivirus...
-Created 2 new achievements to accompany some recent changes
Other: -Added a lens distortion effect to make the game more like it's being played on an arcade cabinet
Bugfixes: -Fixed an issue where the right row of turrets in ball protectors would be facing down instead of the center of the screen.
Reasoning: -I believe that the score requirements for the arcade mode locked players out of finding a game they enjoyed if they couldn't meet the score requirement for the previous game. -For the story mode, simply removing the score requirements would have a major impact on the story, so I decreased them because I felt they were too difficult to meet. -The lens distortion looked cool
Be expecting a music update (hopefully) really soon!
We will maintain the game for about 3 hours from 15:00 on August 24th to 18:00 on August 24th, Beijing time (East 8th time zone). During this period of time, you may not be able to start the game normally, and the contents of the DLC package you purchased may not be installed or viewed normally. If you are still playing the game, the network connection status may be abnormal and the game screen may freeze. Issues such as the temporary disappearance of archives will be resolved after this maintenance ends and the new login to the Steam platform.
