Eternity Warriors VR teams up with Karnage Chronicles and Contractors - the Sword And Gunpowder Bundle!
About the other two VR games:
• Contractors is a team-based competitive multiplayer shooter game for virtual reality devices. Experience the next level virtual warfare with hardcore controls, lethal weapons, customizable load-outs, and intense firefights.. • Karnage Chronicles, a true VR RPG built from ground up to fully immerse you in what VR has to offer.
This bundle is bound to scratch the itch for VR gamers who love the action genre and is a great starting point for those who are just getting into VR or looking for some high-quality VR experiences at a great price.
We have some news to share! We’ve been keeping an eye on your feedback, and one of the major complaints we’ve noticed has been the tank controls. Whilst this was a core part of the design, it’s clear that many players do not have a good experience with this control scheme.
New Control Scheme Option - Free Movement
After some debate, we’ve decided to add non-tank controls as an option! This way, players will still be able to experience the original scheme if they would like, or change to an easier “free movement” control scheme. This WILL make the game less challenging, but we think those that use the new “free movement” scheme will still have a great time.
You can select your movement style when you play the first level, or in the in the Options menu!
The update also includes a host of performance optimisations to allow the game to run better across all machines! And Steam trading cards too! Neat!
Price Increase
Additionally, we’d like to announce we are planning a price increase to $4.99. We don’t take the decision lightly, but please let me explain: Our reasoning for the increase is:
We’ve added several new features (localisation, controller support, optimisations) since initial release
We would like to bring the Steam version to price parity with the Nintendo Switch version
The price-point of $2.99 has not been sustainable for our studio. In the past 10 months on Steam, we have only earned equivalent to two weeks worth of company running costs.
The price increase will be taking effect starting August 15th. So please grab the game before then if you'd like it at the lower price. :)
I hope you will understand our reasoning, and that this slight bump will make a sizable difference for our small team in the long run. The longer we can survive, the more likely it’ll be for us to make new adventures for little Roombo.
Tonight's build has some fairly big changes to the localization system. For the most part, you shouldn't notice any difference, but the changes open the door for better translations and more languages. I'll have some news on that front soon!
For now though, if you see any text that is out of place or see anything like %NPCNAME, please let me know. You shouldn't see anything like that, but as with any big update it's possible to miss one or two places.
This build also fixes some bugs:
Fixed a bug that caused the NPC in the Orc Cave to not appear.
Fixed a bug that caused controller support for the settings screen to fail to work.
Fixed a missing texture in the Orc Cave.
Fixed a couple of typos
The last few updates have been admittedly rather small and I wanted to let you all know the reason for that is I am working on a bunch of fairly large aspects of the game that aren't things you'll notice. Yea, I know that's really vague, but I can't talk about why I'm doing the work yet. It is very exciting and very cool though! But it does require me to do a bunch of back-end work and I didn't want anyone to think that I was slowing down. :)
I do have a new system in the works based on feedback from a bunch of you and I hope to be able to announce it tomorrow. Just want to get the concept art for it and show an example of it before posting about it.
I hope you have been well and thanks again for playing my game!
A major milestone was hit this week: For the first time ever, a streamer was able to fill all the games with 100 players! And everything held up perfectly (no crashes or slowdowns)! It was really amazing to finally see the game come to live in the environment it was literally designed for, and these games really do get more fun as you get closer to 100 players.
As more and more people are playing these games, I'm getting lots of feedback on what people want to see. Bombertown has absolutely been the one game in the pack that has needed more love, so I gave it some attention in this update! We still need a way to shrink the map and force the game to end, but a lot of things have been improved and I'll keep making these games better.
Updates:
Happy Tanksgiving:
When the streamer tank dies, the Health indicator is removed so it doesn't cover the "Kill Mode" button
Minesweeper 100:
Added a new streamer flag
Bombertown:
Actually finished building the board so breakable powerup walls appear when there are more than 50 players
The fire from the bombs no longer kills powerups. We want fast, chaotic games, not long drawn out boring ones
The fire from the bombs no longer hides the streamer
Drill powerups and health powerups are much more rare now
Streamer bomb and fire power change from icons to "x8" at the right time now. No more excess icons that escape the UI.
Kill Mode button doesn't linger around after the game ends like an awkward teenager
If the streamer dies before the game starts, there won't be weird bugs
Don't forget, I still make custom tombstones and hats for Happy Tanksgiving, so if you want to look super cool when your favorite streamer plays (and actually find yourself easily in the chaos), hit me up.
That's all I got for now - if there's anything you'd like me to make a priority, let me know!
