A product shot of AMD's Ryzen 4000 G-Series APU

AMD have announced the first batch of processors in their upcoming Ryzen 4000 family of desktop CPUs today, but you’re going to have to wait a while before they’re available to buy as standalone chips. Instead, the six APUs making up AMD’s Ryzen 4000 G-series (the ones with built-in Radeon graphics, in case you’ve forgotten) will only be available in pre-built PCs initially, with a full launch for enthusiast buyers to take place at a later date.

Alas, AMD weren’t able to provide an exact date for when these APUs would be available to buy separately so existing users can slot them into AMD’s existing 400 and 500-series motherboards, but with APUs ranging all the way from entry-level Ryzen 3 chips right up to powerful Ryzen 7s, the Ryzen 4000 G-Series is definitely worth keeping an eye on if you’re a budget PC builder.

Warframe - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Imogen Beckhelling)

Digital Extremes’ fifth annual Warframe event, TennoCon, kicks off next week on August 1st (albeit digitally this year thanks to that pandemic). They’ll be revealing the details of the game’s next expansion, Heart Of Deimos, and to pique players’ interest, they’ve released a tidbit of info and a cheeky teaser for said expansion already. It’ll all revolve around the Infested – an alien faction taken over by techno-organic parasites (sounds painful). And, actually that’s about it for now.

Here’s the teaser trailer – complete with dramatic choral music, freaky alien beasts, and a peek at some shiny new items.

Donning the bloody mantle in a Blasphemous screenshot.

The delightfully Catholic metroidvania Blasphemous will add New Game+ mode in a big free update on August 4th, developers The Game Kitchen have announced. Named ‘True Calvary’, for extra Catholicism, the NG+ mode will not only do the usual ‘start a new game after beating it to continue with your old gear’ dealio, but include a new quest line with new bosses and items. That’s nice, that. Though for people who can’t even beat it the first time, good news: the update will also bring changes include a new map and more fast travel points.

It’s been a rough time for anyone looking for some great [cms-block] lately, but today your deals herald has found a real good one: an RTX 2070 Super for just £400 over at Amazon.
