The delightfully Catholic metroidvania Blasphemous will add New Game+ mode in a big free update on August 4th, developers The Game Kitchen have announced. Named ‘True Calvary’, for extra Catholicism, the NG+ mode will not only do the usual ‘start a new game after beating it to continue with your old gear’ dealio, but include a new quest line with new bosses and items. That’s nice, that. Though for people who can’t even beat it the first time, good news: the update will also bring changes include a new map and more fast travel points.

It’s been a rough time for anyone looking for some great [cms-block] lately, but today your deals herald has found a real good one: an RTX 2070 Super for just £400 over at Amazon. That’s £80 cheaper than my current best RTX 2070 Super deal (ironically the same MSI model), which currently goes for £480 over at Ebuyer, and by far the lowest RTX 2070 Super price I’ve seen in absolutely ages.

It’s funny how remaking a game can give you a wholly different vibe. The original Resident Evil 2 was a great game for its time, but by today’s standards it’s as scary as a children’s Halloween costume, unless you’re playing it for the very first time. The Resident Evil 2 remake, however, is a modern horror masterpiece.

Pencil-drawn games aren’t unheard of in 2D games, but seeing monotone pencil textures on 3D models is more uncommon. They’re uncanny really, which I suppose is a great fit for horror. Mundaun is an indie horror game set to folk legends in a secluded valley in the Alps. It’s shown up again in a new trailer to announce a spring 2021 release date.
