With the CrossCode console release about to happen we're now writing about something entirely different: CrossCode Modding projects


To be frank: we never really designed CrossCode with modding in mind. But yet, it still happened - maybe because the JavaScript code base makes the game fairly accessible.
For several years now we've been watching a couple of smaller and larger modding projects appear over time. However, now is the first time the modding community actively organizes a whole event, so we thought we could help with a little shoutout.

However, before you continue installing and playing mods:


Modding projects are unofficial content and as such, we won't be able to help you with any issue that may arise from installing and playing mods for CrossCode.

Be aware that installing mods can potentially break your save data, so it's recommended to back up your saves before installing any modding project.

One option to back up your saves:

• Start CrossCode and load the save you want to backup
• Pressing F10
• Save the text of the upper field into a text file

To import your save file again:

• Start CrossCode and press F10
• Insert the text of your save backup in the lower text field and press Submit
• Your imported save will be the last save in your list of saves

Now that we got that out of the way, let's talk events!


Since last week you can participate in a very special challenge, taking on very strong variants of the game's boss fights and try to get the best score!

We've recently updated Armillo to v1.2.2. It is a minor release to address some game progression issues.

Fixes are:
- Fixed a game freezing bug in World 1-2 for some players when they near the Darkbot Container
- Fixed an issue where playing one of the Platformer Cubes plays the wrong level

Today, I tried drawing with Unity HDRP.
This result is just a test. More adjustments are required, but I think it looks more real and natural than current version. So I've shared this temporal result with you.
Which version do you prefer?

If many users dislike HDRP version, I think I should stop. To make future plans, please give me your opinions.

Could you press the thumb-up button if you prefer HDRP version, or press the thumb-down button if you dislike that?

By the way, SteamVR doesn't seem to support HDRP. So until SteamVR does, I can't release VR version. Therefore, I'd like to publish Non-VR with HDRP version using beta system of Steam.

Tired of seeing the card you want glide past? Bug fan of clicking? Click away. You can now switch between draw three and draw one modes at anytime.

For some of you dragging is a bit of a drag. Now you can activate stick click and save your energy for more important things. Hope it helps.

It was recently brought up that the time wasted was stat was rising whether or not you where playing or just letting the game run. That was a bug and it has been fixed. If you where counting on idling your way to the "secret" waste 1000 hours achievement, sorry. That's not going to work. But take heart... That was always supposed to be a joke, not a thing anyone could do. Since some of you really like to get all of the achievements, the numbers to unlock them have been reduced to... ahem... reasonable levels. So go out and achieve!

Easy Pose 0.81a version update.

1. Introduced 3D Gizmo, a new manipulation system. Instead of the existing slide panel, you can perform functions such as rotate/enlarge and reduce/move.
2. You can enable/disable gizmo by pressing the keyboard shortcut G key.
3. Added option to enable/disable gizmo in preferences.

We will be updating how to use Gizmo in the manual this weekend.

We've just released version 0.11.8 the focus of which has been preparing the game for translation of most of the text in the game to 26 non-English languages. The translations are currently auto-generated and often inaccurate. In order to improve the general quality and accuracy of the translations we've made available Google Spreadsheets for each language so improvements and corrections for translations can be submitted.



We'll monitor these spreadsheets for accuracy and periodically incorporate the improved translations into newer builds of the game. If you are particularly skilled at translating into a particular language, we'd be happy to give 1 or a small number of dedicated translators private access to a particular language spreadsheet. We have a topic on the Steam forum detailing how to access these spreadsheets and provide improvements to the translations and if you would like to take responsibility for translating the entirety of a language please let us know in that topic.

If you choose to change the language in the game that will be saved as your new default when starting the game going forward, but you can change back to English at any time. Once we have a first batch of translation improvements we will set the default language to match your computer/Steam language.

Now that most of this translation utility work has been completed, we'll now resume a focus on bug fixes and performance improvements for the next update. Feedback on the Endless Arena has been great so far and we'll be incorporating many of the suggestions for it going forward as well as working to significantly improving performance when there are a large number of Beneath enemies active.

Our next main addition will be a few new Arena Challenges which will be added very soon. We still have a number of Level Editor additions and improvements to make over the coming updates, as well as improvements to the Beneath save system allowing in-progress runs to be saved and resumed and Steam Cloud support to prevent losing progress when changing computers, etc.
