is Riot’s newfangled hybrid of CS:GO and Overwatch, where teams of five run around shooting very deadly weapons while deploying character-based abilities. It’s very, very similar to CS:GO, right down to the round structure and individual weapons. If you’ve ever defused a bomb in Counter-Strike, there’s a good chance you’ll already be a crack shot here. It’s basically the same, but with more mind games and novel situations thanks to those abilities.
It’s a great game, but playing by myself makes me miserable far more often than it makes me happy.

There was a time when shotguns absolutely dominated the confined spaces of Modern Warfare’s multiplayer modes. But when it comes to Warzone, where additional health makes it more difficult to drop enemies in one or two shots, are shotguns at all viable anymore?
Our Best Shotgun in Warzone guide will walk you through detailed stats and opinions on all five shotguns in Warzone, explaining how each one stacks up against the others in the current meta.

Marksman Rifles were always extremely potent weapons in Modern Warfare, but in Warzone they’re often outclassed by the bulkier and harder-hitting sniper rifles. But despite their relatively lowly standing in the current meta, there’s still a lot of fun to be had with these rifles.
Our Best Marksman Rifle in Warzone guide, as you might expect, is here to catch you up on the standing of each DMR in the current meta. We’ll walk you through stats, attachments, and more in our attempt to rank each Marksman Rifle from best to worst in Season 3 of Warzone.

Sniper Rifles dominate Call Of Duty: Warzone and its sprawling, rooftop-dotted landscape. They always have, and they always will, thanks to the invaluable trait that a single headshot from a bolt-action Sniper Rifle is a guaranteed kill. So the question is: which sniper rifle do you use for that perfect headshot?
Our Best Sniper in Warzone guide will walk you through the three snipers on offer in Modern Warfare’s Battle Royale mode. We’ll go over the stats of each one, before talking about how each sniper stacks against the others.

The best LMGs offer a very special collection of traits that few other weapons in Warzone can match. High DPS and large magazines allow you to drop entire teams quickly, while the excellent damage dropoff values and low recoil of certain LMGs give you an extremely potent answer to long-range encounters.
Our Best LMG in Warzone guide will not only walk you through the stats of each LMG, but also discuss the place of each LMG in the current Warzone meta.

I’m so interested in how expectation affects our experience of games. Whether it’s from over-ambitious promotional materials, peculiarly unhelpful reviews, or completely misreading the game’s description before buying it, what we’re hoping for before we start really colours how we receive the game. I was convinced that Poly Bridge 2 was a goofy physics puzzler, something somewhere between Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Crayon Physics Deluxe. Poly Bridge 2 is nothing like that. It is – despite the apparent levity in the screenshots you see either side of these words – a proper grown up game for proper serious bridge building enthusiasts.
I know I say this a lot, but I am always on the lookout for things that are a bit like Stardew Valley, but not. (Incidentally, for those interested in my battery chicken farm efforts, I have increased the size of my coop whilst giving the hens three squares of space to roam outdoors during the day.) Last week at the Wholesome Direct I learned of the existence of Little Witch In The Woods, and I am agog, reader, pure agog> at the state of this game.
Creative Assembly have announced a release date of August 13th for A Total War Saga: Troy, with a surprise: they’ll give it away free to keep on the Epic Games Store at launch. It’s becoming an Epic timed exclusive, see, and how! The giveaway is only for one day, mind. In the usual Epixclusive way, it’ll be on Steam after one year – and Creative Assembly do say this exclusive is a one-off.

On June 19th, the next quarterly update for Path Of Exile – the free-to-play action RPG – will give players the chance to trade blood-soaked knives for green fingers. It’s called Harvest, and it tasks you with managing a garden. Of course, your glowing nocturnal plants will blossom into monsters needing slaying, but this should provide some downtime between dungeon crawls in a game that has grown faster and more aggressive with every update. How does your garden grow? See my thoughts after a chat with Grinding Gear head Chris Wilson, plus the trailer below.
Oh I’m so jealous of all the new players who’re going to get to experience Sea Of Thieves for the first time. Today, Rare’s excellent loot huntin’, ship shootin’ pirate sandbox opened its doors to Steam players. So, Sea Of Thieves is no longer exclusive to the Windows Store, after two years, and what’s more, it has cross-platform play and progression between Steam, Windows and Xbox.
