Mesh, material, and function improvement to the first test platform: Treadmill, still WIP. A human worker is shown for scale
The development of other test platforms has been started. Below are the preview ( Not yet available in-game).


Active crash test: Testing mecha power and durability


Temperature test: testing mecha safety and comfort level


Weight pull test: Testing mecha power and speed

The idea is: Each test platform must be unlocked and is upgradable to allow a more advanced form of testing. Tests are optional and will give a marketing boosts (WIP)

OTHERS
  • Fixed material custom channel logic. wheel material is now appearing normal (black, not red)
  • Fixed incorrect drag factor calculation
  • Fixed material slot not being highlighted when hovering upon material slot button in material configuration
  • Fixed sometimes worker not contributing correctly in early gameplay.
  • Fixed unable to unlock platform when entering the platform from avatar mode
  • Updated mecha engine and locomotion data
  • Updated material selection data (WIP, renamed "dielectric" to "plastics". Disabled temporarily the function to tint the material. )
  • Several minor map improvements to accommodate upcoming new test types
  • Numerous other minor visual, tests, and code improvements
  • Updated to Unreal Engine 4.25
  • Iterated save version

This internal development test shows that the Body-Locomotion simulation is working -> Acceleration influenced by engine performance, weight, and aero-drag

We are happy to present you with update for Hired Ops.

List of changes:
  • Added the list of servers that everyone has been asking for so long, now if you want, you can immediately go to the most suitable server instead of joining the matchmaker. Important: servers with a ping higher than 250 will not be available for joining, and DM mode will not be available for joining as a group.
  • Improved crosshair performance, now it correctly shows the accuracy of your weapon when shooting from the hip.
  • Increased shooting accuracy from the hip for all automatic weapons.
  • Fixed visual display of tracers.
  • Improved anti-cheat performance.
  • Fixed other technical bugs.

Attention veterans and new recruits alike!

The Super Squad Closed Beta playtest starts in just 30 minutes at 11 AM PT (2 PM ET / 7 PM BST / 8 PM CEST). We've deployed the patch to Steam, so get downloading ASAP.

We recommend new recruits play through the tutorial to get your basic training in prior to taking on the enemy on the battlefield.

How do we know what’s in a jar? Why, by labeling it, of course! Visual indicators have been added to jars so you can identify what type of dew it stores!

Still getting your bearings? Not only does the map showcase the name and coordinates of each area, but there’s a handy Concord pin now to show you where they are!



Updated Pick Combat
The pick art has more detail and the animation packs a little bit more punch, so thwacking Rot feels more impactful!

Story Bits & Squashing Bugs
In addition to visual tweaks and improvements, we’ve also been really dialing in the story and fixing bugs that have cropped up! It’s harder to show that type of progress, but we can say that we’re really proud of how it’s coming along, and can’t wait to reveal more of what this world is like (and what’s happening to it!) In the meantime? Here’s a gif of Concord hanging out with some fellow Spring Hamlet neighbors and enjoying a lovely rainy day!



The Wholesome Direct
Finally, we were featured as a part of the first ever Wholesome Direct! It was an incredible experience seeing all of these indie games come together in an event that celebrated cozy vibes and kindness. Missed it? Don’t worry! The full video is available here.

This time it is not an update on new content (continuation of the story), but a basis for that.

  • Implemented a key config that was requested a lot.
    You can also open the option screen at any time except during a conversation.

[Keyboard1]: The operation method is the same as before.
Use the arrow keys (right hand) to move and the ZXCS keys to perform action operations.

[Keyboard2]: New operation method.
Use WASD keys (left hand) to move and IJKL keys to perform action operations.

Added operation popups on the title screen and option screen.


  • The reflection arrow of Ahsamooha has been changed to "Magic Arrow" and has been significantly strengthened.

    You can choose from 3 types to shoot.
    [Reflection]: Fires a reflection /penetration arrow as before. Effective in narrow spaces.
    [3way]: Fire magic arrows in 3 directions. At present, it is not very convenient, so adjust it.
    [Boost]: Uses 20 Stamina and shoots a high-power, wide-judgment penetrating arrow.
    Also, you can use the cancel button to close the arrow when holding it with both normal and magic arrows.


  • St recovery specifications have changed.

    The gauge glows green by not operating for a certain period of time,
    Your stamina recovers faster (up to 20 for Aoha and 10 for Ahsamooha).
    You no longer have to wait a long time to move,
    Ahsamooha must consume stamina recovery items to shoot boost magic arrows.

  • Depending on remaining HP at pinch
    The HP gauge is now glowing red. (Alarm when HP is less than 1/10)

  • Game over is simple but implemented.
    All possessed items will be lost except for equipped weapon.

    Signs of the Sojourner - Echodog Games
    This update addresses a lot of the feedback we've been receiving, especially from folks on Discord. We wanted to get out an update with smaller/easier fixes ASAP, as larger features and changes will take some time.
    * Balance tuning to make things a little less difficult
    * Added another encounter for Nadine during the second trip
    * Increased dog time <- really the most important
    * Improved some text for mismatches
