Steam Release when???
Hey everybody!

You've all been very patient waiting for the steam release and I'm gonna give ya a quick update on things and stuff!

We've said for quite some time that our intention has been to release the game on steam sometime late May. And that is still our goal.

We're currently in the last phase of testing the steam version to make sure that online sessions work both between steam friends, and cross-play.

At the end of this week we'll be able to give you a more definite answer as to when you can expect Satisfactory to be available on steam.

It really is coming down to the wire so please bear with us as we figure out the last few things before we can officially say when we know for sure it's coming out! :)

Minigame Blast - northernamusements



General
  • New Character: Fuschia Runner has been added to Minigame Blast!
  • The colour of Midnight Mage has been lightened to make it easier to see on darker backgrounds
  • You can now press 'B' to back out of the Minigame screens in Freeplay mode
  • Fixed a bug where enabling/disabling X-Input would very rarely cause the game to stop recognizing controllers



Count'Em
  • The number of unique icons that float by is now at least 4, and up to the number of players. This is to accommodate for more than 8 unique avatars. This also makes the game a little harder
  • Icons stop appearing a half second sooner for a longer grace period at the game's end

Hotdog, No Hotdog
  • The game now lasts 1 minute, up from 45 seconds
  • Difficulty has been adjusted for the new game length
  • The game now has an end grace period. This is so players don't miss the last picture

Tanks
  • New Minigame: Tanks! has been added to Minigame Blast!
  • Take control of a tank to defeat the Tank Boss by firing your cannon
  • Avoid taking damage by learning the strategy and shot types of the boss
  • Maneuver around crates letting them absorb shots
  • In Versus mode, square off against your friends in a free for all

Between the Stars - The Bullet
Hello everyone!

This update has been being worked on since October, that’s 8 months’ worth of changes, missions, quests, writing, dialogue, voicework and art. We’ve been working non-stop and are extremely proud to present you with this update!

  • Experience a brand-new chapter in the Between the Stars story, with a whopping 60 new main quests to follow. This latest branch of the story takes you far behind enemy lines in an undercover mission with a number of branching narratives.

  • There are also three new playable ships, alongside an additional two that we've added, and a sixth one that is only pilotable by you. This means six new ships in the game that you can pilot. That's a whopping 15 playable ships vs the 9 you could previously play as.

  • Many new illustrations have been added for specific key events. Here is an example it's from the quest The White Family Farm.




  • As stated before, we’ve also added over 1350 spoken lines of dialogue, which we feel flesh out the game very well. We hope to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

  • We've also added a Wingman system to the game, which lets you have two additional ships that accompany you and help you out in combat, in the future we'd like to build upon this system and make it deeper!

  • We have spent a lot of time listening to your feedback and added many Quality of Life improvements as well. One of the most recurring topics on the forums was the inability to view the Children of the Sun’s ships properly. We’ve corrected textures and added new outline shaders to increase their visibility considerably.

  • Many people have given feedback regarding the dice rolls in the game. We've added the option to play the game with or without the dice rolls and the dice combat. You can toggle them in the options menu.

  • There have been some forum posts about the negative traits your captain can obtain, and we have also added the option to turn these off now.

  • In addition, there are 21 new achievements to the game, which add on to the 49 previous ones, making 71 achievements in total!

Close out the Modes of May with an XP Boost! A 2XP Weekend will go live starting Thursday at 9 a.m. PDT (4 p.m. UTC), and will last an extra day through Memorial Day!

SURVIVAL MARKERS

Find Spray Cans in the world. Leave markers identifying important survival information such as the location of supplies or dangerous places to avoid. These in-world indicators appear on your map so that you can find things back even days or weeks after you’ve left a region.

ROCK CACHES

Build a landmark to help you navigate, and create emergency supply caches along commonly travelled routes. Review your Caches in the Journal, and leave notes on what you’ve stored in them so you can find vital tools or resources in the future.

VISTA SURVEYS

Hard to find Polaroids in the world indicate locations that offer sweeping Vista views of a region. Get to those locations and Survey them to reveal the majority of a region’s map!

IMPROVED CHARCOAL SURVEY

The Charcoal Survey action now reveals an enhanced radius on the Map. Surveying from higher altitudes now increases how much of the Map is revealed.

MAP & JOURNAL IMPROVEMENTS

Turn layers of information on and off in the Map. Locate and rename Rock Caches. Keep track of all Surveyed locations to know if you’ve found them all. Especially useful if you are hunting locations for the Faithful Cartographer achievement.

TELEMETRY & QUALITY OF LIFE

New Autowalk accessibility feature ensures comfort for players with hand or wrist issues. New Opt-in Telemetry gathers gameplay data the development team will use to inform future balance and feature development efforts (Note: Telemetry is defaulted to OFF and needs to be turned on in the Options>Privacy settings.)

Over the years many games have implemented a photo mode, had photographic elements or photography mini-games. But this was all in service of something else, not the actual act of taking photos itself. Umurangi Generation is the first real photography game where you are given a list of shots to take and it is up to you how you want to do that. Umurangi Generation may be the first of its kind. It is a photography game where you aren’t on tracks, you get to spend as much time as you like lining up that perfect shot and you aren’t limited by how you take a photo. This game lets you be as creative as you like.

Set to the backdrop of Aotearoa during a crisis event, you are a courier for the Tauranga Express. Your job is to deliver a parcel to each location you visit, but along the way complete photo bounties. Photo bounties are loose descriptions of shots you will need to take. Taking a photo of, for example “7 Birds” can be completed anyway you like as long as the description is met.

Alongside these objectives are bonus objectives you can complete in each level to unlock your full creative potential. These objectives are things such as recreating a postcard, taking a group photo of all of your friends or finding hidden film canisters. These are not required for passing a level but will greatly increase your potential in creating that perfect shot.

Players who are fresh to photography or seasoned vets will be able to pick this game up and start taking photos with a learning curve that translates to the real life art of photography. You have full control over your camera.
