It's time for yet another shiny update for Good Company! One important request we were receiving from our community: Stats! You want to take a peek under the hood of your mighty production machinery in order to find out how you can tweak things to the max? There you go! With today's update, we bring you our first version of Workplace, as well as Company-wide statistics - amongst the usual mix of balancing improvements and bug fixes. Curious? Please read on...

Workplace Statistics
  • Crafter and assembly tables now have a button that opens a weekly statistics overview.
  • The stats displayed there cover the past week:
    • Produced units: displays how many modules/products have been crafted
    • Time distribution: shows the relative amount of time spent by the assigned employee
    • Values: gives an overview of the money spent and the value gained for that workplace




Company-wide Production Statistics
  • There is now an overview for all produced and consumed items throughout your company.
  • The panel can be opened with

    or via the production overview button in the top right corner of the screen.

  • The left side of the statistics display shows the amount you have produced during the past week.
    • This gives you an outlook on how much you could optimize your existing workplaces' output, for instance, by optimizing walk distances.
  • The right side displays the amount of consumed materials (excluding sold and analyzed modules).
    • The maximum here shows the consumption of materials if every table's production capacity was maxed out.



Balancing
  • Data Point yields from analyzed modules have been rebalanced. The average amount of Data Points has been increased. Modules which are more difficult to produce will get a boost on Data Points you can generate from them.
  • Analysis times have been rebalanced. You now generate Data Points faster by analyzing higher tier modules. Modules of the same tier that yield more data points may take longer to be analyzed, but the Data Point output per day is the same.

Logistics Bugfixes
  • Sometimes logistic employees would get stuck and stop their tasks because they couldn’t find a path. They continued being stuck even if the path to their destination was no longer blocked.
  • There was an issue with the way logistics employees handled priorities. This should be fixed now.
  • Fixed an issue where the robo advisor would tell the player that an employee has long walking times while the issue was that an inventory was full.

General Bugfixes
  • Fixed an issue where decoration rewards for challenges would not get unlocked.
    • Completing any challenge will reward all missing decorations.
    • The reward list can be found here on our Official Good Company Wiki
  • It is now possible to unlock more products in the Welfare Survival challenge.
    • Unlocking happens through earning Discovery Points like in Freeplay mode.
  • We've approached fixing an issue where players can't progress in milestones, or markets did not progress. We hope we have this fixed but we can’t tell for sure yet, as the bug is hard to reproduce. Please let us know if this issue persists.

We updated the game to version 0.17.507.1553. Many of these bugfixes and suggestions for improvement came from your posts via the in-game suggestion button and forums. Thank you for your help.

Right now we’re preparing yet another portion of fixes, so stay tuned for more.

Fixes
  • Added inventory filters;
  • Increased fog of war radius on many locations;
  • Stacks hold more items, they’ll take less space;
  • Fights end with a two turn timer if an enemy can’t see the player;
  • Weakened rats in the basement of the gas station;
  • Reduced speed of the training holograms;
  • Added a bed in player’s room in Magellan;
  • Taylor Portman and Margarita Tkachenko now have more items to trade;
  • Fixed and opportunity to destroy an entry into Junktown collector;
  • Fixed visual artifacts on Magellan reactor floor;
  • Location of trader Taylor Portman: fixed problems with doors, access to objects, lying on the bed, etc;
  • Removed Persuasion check in the dialogue with Fops in the location with robbed caravan while playing as low intellect character;
  • Improved clarity of the tooltips while pointing at abilities that require objects to be applied;
  • Fixed hatch visual appearance on the Magellan elevator location;
  • Fixed an ability to put money on the Rocker rat if he was excluded from the race;
  • Fixed slots that were occupied by “Panacea” relic;
  • Defeated characters on Emulator level no longer have equipment;
  • Finalized the “Mirror” random encounter;
  • Fixed Kraut pneumatic punch if you didn’t have enough gas charges;
  • Fixed thermal protection bonus of "Volunteer" boots;
  • Fixed the reactor room radiation poster;
  • Fixed portraits of Black Wing characters in Junktown bar;
  • Finalized plot in a dialogue with John Kepler;
  • Added a loading screen for “Sonora” bunker;
  • Dialogue with Dustin Grumman was rewritten;
  • Added a bed in Junktown rented house;
  • Fixed display of multiplying modifiers in tooltips;
  • Fixed the text of the passed time message;

Campaign Mode


The Campaign Update is now live - this huge new game mode completely changes the way you can play the game.

Get ready to conduct large-scale operations across multiple regions to bring peace to an entire country. Develop unique tactics and manage resources in a persistent world with all new map features and overcome radically different strategic challenges.

Features



Embark on a grand campaign: Deploy your operation across five regions with unique and procedurally generated characteristics. Hyperinflation, a vulnerable foreign embassy, huge numbers of national soldiers or even an urban warzone - the combinations are endless.



Face an ever adapting Insurgency: As the campaign goes on, the Insurgents will learn devastating new tactics to challenge you. Sleeper cells, ambushes or even swimming lessons (!) will radically change how they fight.



Develop powerful new tactics: Each region that you stabilise dramatically expands your abilities and resources. Sniper support, advance development experts, indestructible garrisons, or even removing all corruption in the region open up all kinds of strategic opportunities.



Stay alert and change your strategy: Choose wisely and plan ahead.
New wildcard features mean governors and advisors get exhausted, caves can be found in any region and even Azure Dam without the dam! You'll need to think on your feet.



Experience a persistent narrative: Engage with new dynamic events and difficult multi-region decisions which have lasting consequences throughout the campaign. Coups, outbreaks, economic downturn and even popular television shows are disasters waiting to happen in these system driven events.

Note - the campaign mode is only available in English currently. We are working hard on localising it into other languages and will update the game with them soon.

Make Your Kingdom: Prologue - yo_serjio

We've now added VR support for Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories on Steam!
To play in VR mode, you need to download the VR Mode DLC, and you need to have completed the level you want to play in VR, in the main game.

For example, if you want to play through the Downtown Area in VR mode, you'll have to complete it in the main game first.

List of known supported VR Headsets:

  • HTC Vive/Vive Pro
  • Oculus Rift/Rift S
This list only includes headsets that we've tested and verified work. If your VR headset works and is not on this list, feel free to let us know and we'll add it to the list.
