We made our first trailer early this year, since then we worked a lot to improve the character designs, shaders, rendering, lights and we added a lot of new levels and mechanics.
So we created a new trailer to show what the game looks like now, in 4K and 60 fps.

-Game Options expanded to include Data collection opt out.
-Tutorial Screen added as an option.
-Little Bird and Sky-crane animation tweaks to perform better visually in-game.
-Landscape adjusted around Draw Bridge to improve collision.
-Placeholder Carousel and Ferris Wheel meshes added to boardwalk.
-Street Light collision adjusted so they won't stop Type-06 Special Infected from being able to walk in certain areas.
-Navigation optimized so infected will not get stuck in various locations around the map.
-Control Post moved to the Museum to prepare for the Factions DLC post launch.
-Buildable Turrets added to the Assault Class (Tier 1-50 Cal, Tier 2-Missile Turret for Special infected)
-Turrets have their own ammo reserves and will have to be refilled.
-Various HLOD's updated across the island.
-Field Construct now properly gets canceled out with move orders.
-Chelsey adjusted to flee more often early game and not harass the player as much.
-Preloading screen added for slower computers so you don't see our dev map (sorry not sorry!)

Horde system will be our focus in the next few days so stay tuned, save system is scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday's patch.

After much testing, feedback, fixing, and fine-tuning, we are excited to announce the arrival of update 1.37 for Euro Truck Simulator 2! 



We'd like to thank every single one of you for all your help with your bug reports, opinions, and general feedback during the Open Beta. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the new features included within this update.


The main feature included with this update is the implementation of our new sound engine FMOD; which radically redefines the way we mix vehicle and environment sounds. This update includes revisited sounds of trucks' engines, new sounds for most of the AIs (including trains), reverb sound effects in tunnels, new train crossings sounds, the inclusion of a true Doppler effect for passing vehicles and more. This also brings an array of new sound options for users accessed from the main menu, which allows you to tweak many more individual sounds to your liking.



While there is still a lot of tweaking to do and more sounds to arrive, this is only the first phase. We will continue to improve based on feedback and implement changes throughout the year to come.

As a benefit from the new sound mixing approach, we are happy to bring you truck windows which you can open! You can now enjoy the continuum of sound levels between a well-insulated cabin with windows closed and the roaring traffic coming from the outside when you roll the windows all the way down. Give it a try especially when you hit the rush hour on the road or at a big junction.



Another addition that arrives with this update is our "walk-around feature." Our game world is generally not designed for exploration on foot, but we figure that fans may appreciate a new closer perspective to view their favorite machines in the upgrade shop. Getting up close may also be of use when you need to tune up your rig and match the color of your rims with the cabin's paint just right. So here we are with a little bonus feature of 1.37, an alternate way to control the camera in the game's service and vehicle browser. We had to redesign the "garage" scene a little to make more space and way for the cameras, hopefully, you will appreciate it.



Hungry for more? Then get ready for some food tanks! And we mean literally food tanks because, with this update, you can finally own this new type of trailer. These beauties were highly demanded for some time and so we're glad and proud we can bring them for you, our #BestCommunityEver!


We are also excited to bring to you a rework of 4 French cities in 1.37. Metz, Reims, Strasbourg, and Dijon will receive a fresh lick of paint with a rehaul of its roads which have been given a new look. We hope you will take the time to check these refreshed areas and send us your snaps of your first visit on our social media channels.


And last but not least, we're excited to announce the upcoming arrival of the official support for ASUS Aura for  Euro Truck Simulator 2. Products supported include ASUS keyboards, mice, RGB mousemats and more. This brings a new level of immersion to your trucking experience with the inclusion of RGB support. You can expect to see a blog post with more details on the integration and the features that come with it in the near future.

For the legacy non-Steam edition of ETS2, the update should be ready in a few days.Some mods, however, may have not caught up yet - this update may effectively break them. So remember that you can always stay on 1.36 or an even older branch. The way to access and select them is: Steam client → LIBRARY → right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 → Properties → Betas tab → select the version you want.

업데이트 계획에 대해서 여러 경로로 문의드리는 유저분들이 계셔서 앞으로 어느 방향으로 업데이트를 진행할 것인지 말씀 드리려 합니다.

향후 업데이트 계획 (v1.7 버전 이후)



1.게임이 너무 불친절하고, 어렵습니다.

저희는 출시 이후 수 차례 업데이트를 통해 부족했던 힌트를 대거 추가하고, 보완하는 과정을 거쳤으나 여전히 게임을 진행하는데 어려움을 호소하시는 유저분들이 많습니다. 보다 좀 더 매끄러운 플레이가 가능하도록 다음 메인 업데이트에서 추가 힌트 제공과 더불어 게임 진행에 도움이 되는 여러 요소들을 추가할 예정입니다.

대표적으로 '에픽아이템'의 추가입니다. 게임 내 습득할 수 있는 주술방울을 가지고 의문을 던지시는 유저분들이 많은 것으로 압니다. 기존의 주술방울은 습득 이후 귀신들의 시야를 소폭 떨어뜨리는 역할을 했습니다만, 그 효과가 미미하여 주술방울을 에픽아이템으로 전용하기로 결정하였습니다. 어떻게 활용되는지에 대해서는 업데이트 당일 이후 공지를 통해 다시 한 번 말씀드리겠습니다.

아울러 저희 게임이 다소 어려워 하시거나 겁이 많은 유저분들도 '이지모드'의 별도 추가 없이 충분히 즐기실 수 있도록 게임 내 선택권을 보장하는 방향으로 업데이트를 진행할 예정입니다.

2.후반부 플레이가 아쉬워요.

폐병원에서의 플레이가 좋았으나, 후반부 플레이가 루즈하고 긴장감을 떨어뜨린다는 지적이 있습니다. 스토리에서의 연계성도 다소 부족해 보인다는 말씀들도 있습니다. 후반부 수정은 저희 개발진도 피드백을 통해 보완의 필요성을 일찍이 공감한 것으로 이를 개선하는 작업을 진행 중에 있습니다. 파이널씬이 파이널씬에 걸맞게 작업하는 방향으로 준비 중에 있으며 불교의 '지옥도'에 기초한 맵으로 새로이 다듬어 나갈 예정입니다. 다만, 적은 인원으로 게임의 씬 전체를 수정해야 하는 만큼 적지 않은 시간을 할애하므로 조금의 인내심을 가지고 기다려주시면 감사하겠습니다.

3. 점프스케어의 소폭 추가

게임 내 점프스케어가 추가될 예정입니다. 다만, 점프스케어를 남발하면 게임의 긴장감은 떨어지고 짜증만 유발한다는 역효과도 개발진 또한 잘 알고 있습니다. 이를 유념해 유저 여러분이 적절한 타이밍에 놀라실 수 있도록 다채로운 점프스케어를 추가하도록 하겠습니다.

4. 신규 크리쳐의 추가

신규크리처 2종을 준비하고 있습니다. 다양한 공격패턴과 기괴한 크리처들이 추가될 예정입니다. 폐병원 내에서는 항상 2종의 크리처만 유기적으로 움직이게끔 기획되었으므로 해당 층에 따라 움직이는 여러 크리처들은 리스폰 시 무작위로 출연하도록 설정하였습니다.

5. 신규 게임모드 '커스텀 모드'의 추가

게임의 본 게임인 '스토리 모드'이외에 다양한 게임을 제공하는 '커스텀 모드'를 제공할 예정입니다. 매 업데이트 마다 하나씩 추가하여 최종 3~5개 정도의 커스텀 게임을 제공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 공포보다 재미에 치중한 커스텀 게임도 제공할 예정이니 많은 기대 가져주시길 바랍니다.

금일 긴급 업데이트 (v1.6.6)

1. 캠코더의 배터리가 전부 소진되며 방전될 경우 식당 주변의 발자국 궤적이 사라지지 않고 남아있는 현상을 수정하였습니다.
2. 캠코더가 방전된 상태에서 F키를 누르면 배터리를 갈아 끼우라는 문구를 내보낼 예정입니다. 간혹, 게임 도중 캠코더가 방전된 상태에서 플레이 하셔서 캠코더가 작동되지 않는 것에 대해 버그로 오해하신 유저분들이 계셔서 이를 바로잡고자 합니다.

부족한 저희 게임에 분에 넘치는 관심을 가져주셔서 정말 감사드립니다.

최근 유튜브와 트위치, 아프리카를 비롯한 미디어 플랫폼을 통해서 저희 게임이 소개되며 저조한 판매량에 소폭 개선을 보이고 있습니다.

For every game, you will choose one of three scenarios representing attempts to kill or repel one of the mighty dragons. Success in this quest provides the hero with a reputation which is also true for most of the actions the player will do throughout the game. The hero with the highest reputation in Euthia at the end of the game is the winner.

-Shotgun rebalance - will fire more regularly and be more aggressive.
-Flamethrower rebalance - doubled the range to 100 feet (will be more aggressive in how it fires now).
-Spec Ops rebalance - amount of Ammo they hold increased. They now make barely any noise when running and walking becoming even moreso of a stealth class.
-New Infection Pod is now in!
-Various optimizations to fast travel splines.
-Tab now works as intended and will no longer jitter or break when player tells it to auto follow a unit.
-DNA sample crash fix.
-Infected Zone/Infected Zone Manager crash fix.
-Collision redone for Control Points so units don't get stuck when ordered to move past them (Ammo Depot, Medical & main Control Point).
-Grass textures alphas fixed.
-Garbage Truck and various other car textures reduced from 4K to 2K to reduce the memory imprint on RAM and HD usage (build is now 10 GB). It has been reduced by 6 GB in size after this week's round of optimizations.
-Scientist ability to auto collect nearby samples has been disabled while we resolve a crash relating to it.
-Artillery range tripled.
-We are aware the save system is not pushed out and is delayed a few days while we tweak a few other critical systems internally. We're aiming for it to be live at the latest by Thursday at midnight this week. Optimizations are still ongoing and we will continue to work towards maximizing performance.
