Mechs V Kaijus - Tower Defense - Nacho - Mechs V Kaijus

Hello Commanders!

Great news, a very important feature is finally here!
Save Slots, in fact, 3 Save Slots.
ːsteamhappyː

PLEASE BACK UP YOUR GAME DATA BEFORE TRYING THIS, which lives here:
C:\Users\YOU\AppData\LocalLow\Doble Punch Games\Mechs V Kaijus\UserData

After the Beta Update, your data should be in Slot 1. Has been working great so far. Please let me know if any of you has any issues.

ːsteamhappyː SOUND BUG:
Some new installs have an issue with the volume of the game that drops to 0 (You can change it back to normal in the OPTIONS (Gear Icon) in the War Room Menu). This update should fix this by resetting the audio levels to normal every time players start a new game.

ːsteamhappyː Steam Achievements:
Have been reworked and fixed, most of it if not all. Some will be detected automatically by the game, and others will need to be redone, like for example the Survival and mission pass Achievements.

ːsteamhappyː There is now the possibility to turn off the screen shake, some of you guys and gals ask for it, don´t know why I just love it. But there are people doing over 700 waves in survival, that means like plus 5, 6 hours so... I understand!

ːsteamhappyː Some re-scaled sprites of the Kaijus, not sure if this is going to stay, please let me know what it feels like, especially for veteran players.

Many small fixes:
Now you can´t sell the mechs platforms unless you move the mech first. Still working on those platforms.
Fixes in towers behaviors:
Artillery now shoots the further enemy.
Ray tower doesn't hurt air units.
And many many small bugs.

v 0.15

Hey Comrades!
We've got an update to die for! If you can collect enough coins you'll now bribe death to return to the battlefield for revenge!

With this update we are hoping to keep the middle of matches as action packed as the beginning and end. We are starting with a 30 coin cost to secure a respawn but we will balance that value based on testing.

Changelog:
+ Added death bribe respawn system
+ Added super charged vouchers to capitalist corner
+ Various revisions and additions made to shop
+ Various improvements and fixed made to bot AI

Thanks for playing!

With new zones come new enemies! We've prepared previews of two enemies coming in Patch 0.7.8 which consist of lore snippets, design sheets, and screenshots.

The enemies featuring in today's post are the Meruna Siren and the Winged Fire.

Meruna Siren
Meruna Siren Lore
It is said that Lagon created the Meruna from the broken body of an ancient sea titan. The Meruna Siren is a spell caster that supports the brutish Meruna Ogres in combat, using her mastery of the ocean and fiendish voice to batter enemies while remaining out of reach.

(The Meruna were previously known as the Nereid.)

Winged Fire
Winged Fire Lore
Rahyeh’s armies make use of fire elementals that power their metalcraft. The Winged Fire is a particularly ornate construct, incorporating the imagery of Rahyeh’s wings and halo in its design.

Six Temples - Wziard
EFFECTS IMPROVEMENTS
We added a comprehensive new system to handle hit impact effects on various surface types, including flesh, armor, wood, sand, bone, and many more! For example, striking Skeleton Warriors now produces a cloud of bone dust, and a corresponding bone-crunching sound effect.

The system also applies to footstep impacts with various surface types, producing highly satisfying dust clouds, splashes, and other effects as you traverse each map.

Now that this system is in place, we plan to improve the look and feel of impacts throughout the game with custom particles and other effects. Expect much more in the next major update!

In addition to the new impact effects, we've tweaked audio in other areas including UI and Hero sounds.

AI IMPROVEMENTS
As part of a future update coming in May, we updated the AI behavior logic for both AI players and mobs to address issues we noticed in Duel games.
  • Threat radius adjusted for mobs to recognize players sooner
  • Behavior commitment logic adjusted for AI players to reassess threats and other goals more frequently, so they are less single-minded on existing goals

COMBAT IMPROVEMENTS
  • Adjusted the Executioner's Axe and Count's Impaling Stake to improve hit detection

UI IMPROVEMENTS
  • Added new HUD indicators to show locations of Relics in Fortify games
  • Increased max visibility distance of teammates' names and health bars to better see your team's position on the map

BUGS FIXED
  • Major bug affecting some AMD Radeon GPUs has been resolved, allowing the affected GPUs to launch the game
  • Custom Game setup menu would set default team size incorrectly for Duel games
  • Picking up items in Custom Games would not play a sound
  • Opening the Pause Menu during the Match Countdown would place it behind the countdown
  • Being Dazed while in the air would sometimes cause the Dazed affect to be applied every time you land from a jump thereafter
  • Notification messages would sometimes be displayed multiple times in Custom Games
  • Landing from a jump would sometimes apply a permanent lean to your character

Krita - EmmetPDX
Hey everybody, it's been a little while since our last update, and while it'll be a little while longer still for an official stable release, we've got the latest beta version of Krita ready to test right now!

But first, take a look at our beautiful new splash screen image painted, yet again, by Tyson Tan, the great illustrator and original character designer of Krita's mascot, Kiki. I think this one is my favorite splash image yet!

Krita 4.3.0, coming a year after the release of Krita 4.2.0, is packed with new features but mostly many, many bug fixes. We want this to be the most stable Krita release ever! We spent more than a year fully focused on improving Krita’s stability and performance — but there are still a bunch of new features, too. More and more people are working on Krita these days, with great results: there are over 2000 changes in Krita 4.3.0 compared to Krita 4.2.9!

This release also contains the work of the 2019 Google Summer of Code projects. Sharaf Zaman has worked on porting Krita to android, and the first beta (based on Krita 4.2.9) has entered the Google Play Store for Chrome OS and Android tablets. Krita 4.3.0 will be there as the second beta: until we’re happy with the state of Krita on Android it will remain in the beta channel.Tusooa Zhu has rewritten Krita’s undo system, and that made it possible to add a snapshot docker. And Kuntal Majumder has added a brand new magnetic selection tool.

You can read the entire 4.3.0 patch notes here!

For this beta we've decided that it's substantial enough to publish on Steam for everyone here to try out. If you want to give it a test, please right-click on Krita in your Steam Library, go to "Properties > Betas", and opt into the beta branch. Once enabled, you're Krita will automatically update to the 4.3.0 beta build!

Please keep in mind that there may still be hidden bugs or stability problems, so take care not to lose any important work, and if you run into any bugs or other issues please let us know so that we can fix them before the final release!

Once again, I want to remind everyone that none of this would be possible without you. Krita is a free, open source and community-driven tool for artists everywhere, and we rely upon our community to keep patches being merged and updating being published. The generous contributions of our users on Steam has already allowed us to expand with more paid developers working full time, and the results are really starting to show! That's thanks to YOU, Steam supporters! That's just one example of how the digital art community is the lifeblood of Krita and one of the things that makes this project really different from most other products on Steam, and it's the single reason why we will never stop working to make Krita a better tool for digital art--on sunny days and stormy nights alike!

On behalf of the entire team and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all, keep creating, keep enjoying life, stay safe and stay strong. We've got art to make!
