Shattered - Tale of the Forgotten King - Redlock Studio
Hey everyone! We really hope you’re all doing ok as these times are definitely challenging for everyone. This update is mainly about a brand new intro with a reworked tutorial area, and a whole lot of bugfixing. There are even more things that have been fixed than what we wrote here, but they weren’t really worth mentionning so… Here you go for this patch notes:
BUGFIX: • The Wander no longer stays standing if he dies while healing • The level UI is now responsive • Gheb no longer summons Hierarchs inside his own body (no one’s judging) • Stamina is now fixed • Global localization fix • Watchers no longer attack you when you activate a Limbo Well
OPTIMISATIONS: • Lighting, foliage, FX • Refining on Ackbar and 2 other aeras (surprise!)
ADDITIONS: • More feedback when looting Limbo Essence : the FX changes depending on the number of Essences you’re looting • A brand new intro! • A new FX on the Legionaries’ shields, to know when they’re active or not
CHANGES: • Better visual on lootable items • Better animations for the legionaries, to make the combats clearer • Better FX on rocky doors • You can no longer jump when healing yourself or use an itam from the quick access while in the air • Timing to parry projectiles is better • The Pretorian no longer respawns • Better healing animation and new FX • Foes get back up faster after a backstab or a parry, and can be striked while they’re getting up
NEXT: • Fixing the puzzle door so that it stays open no matter what! • We've been tracking the old and rare jumping bug for a while now. We're almost there... • Making the Pretorian even more fun to fight!
We hope you'll like the intro and everything, dear Wanderers. Please let us know what you think ♥
In order not to let this news get too long you can have a look at the full patch notes in the game or in the last Steam news. The new gameplay trailer is expected to be available on Steam during the first week of May to better reflect the progress since EA release and as announced we will adjust the price at the same time to reflect the new features. We want to make sure that the game runs as bug-free as possible beforehand, so we'll only do this with the small patch next week. It should be noted that buying before version 1.0 helps us of course, but please note that we are a small team and are still in early access. We therefore recommend that if you expect a finished game to wait until 1.0.
So what does the further plan look like?
As the game has become more complex since EA release, we will mainly deal with bug fixing, fine tuning and optimizations to the game and the AI for the next 1-2 months and therefore probably patching 2-3 times in the period. Included is a planned update to Unity 2019.3 to take advantage of some of the new features (including performance).
What comes after version 1.0?
After these small patches we want to tackle the last major features towards 1.0. On the one hand, the expansion of the Empire management is planned and we will see how far we will go between complexity and playability. NPC characters are planned in your empire who work for or against you and you should be able to influence this. These NPC characters will also be able to hold various offices, replacing the simple assignments of city keeper, captain and research director. In addition, it is planned to build in families / dynasties / factions that influence the empire. We will continuously check how far we can go into detail in the process. Of course, the full loading and saving of several games is still planned. (Currently only the current game is automatically saved) Of course, more is planned, such as new buildings, units such as spies, catapults, riders, etc., additional maps, manual placement of buildings in the city, a street system and much more. But be aware that we reserve the right to make changes if, in our opinion, the feature does not work or makes no sense.
Are there any plans after 1.0?
There are still a few ideas that we don't want to reveal yet. But we can already say that after 1.0 we want to try out to build in a multiplayer mode. Please note that this is not an announcement for a definite feature after 1.0!
That should conclude our news for today, so we want to say have fun playing and trying our game out. We are of course grateful if you report any bugs, suggestions and criticisms you have found. Otherwise, of course, we thank you for the support of our project!
Everyone needs a boost every now and again, and adventurers are no different. From April 30th until June 4th we've worked together with the quest givers in Reedwind, Sungold Fields, Exeloch, Western Hiram Mountains, and Eastern Hiram Mountains and convinced them to double their quest rewards! That means double the infusions and double the awakening scrolls!
What quests count? Great question Adventurer! The quests that have been doubled in this event follow:
Guardian of Reedwind Guardian of Sungold Fields Guardian of Exeloch Raiders of Reedwind Raiders of Sungold Fields Raiders of Exeloch Mutated Animals The Abyssal Legion Animal Control Millennium Mammoths Black Forest Treants Stop the Abyssal Legion Haradium Abominations
Remember, these double rewards won't stay forever so let's get busy!

Pain / death sounds have been added to elementals, women and orcs.
CPU reduction (normally the intell / ryzen 3 with around 2.4 Hz should run at more than 30 Fps at the most critical moments, excluding loading). This can still be improved but it takes more and more time for less and less gains.
GPU reduction, especially on certain terrain such as the desert (number of visible polygons)
Balancing
All quests have been rewarded and many rewards have been changed, generally it is easier to find resistance spells to avoid having a high luck factor during the progression.
Shadow Spear: increased attack range, attack angle and damage.
Bug fix
Procedural dungeon the barriers of one of the tiles is correctly removed.
Channeling spells are correctly reset to 0 if the spell has not been used up entirely.
Channeling spells have their cooldown which starts at the end of the channel and no longer at the beginning.
The bridge can be crossed by enemies in the cave of the forest of the dead.
Legs with "Unison Casting with a Nature Spell" correctly require you to cast a Nature Spell rather than any type of spell.
Epic / Legendary shields and spell books can no longer have weapon powers.
Hi all, main thing here is the new nebula effect. Just trying it out to gauge performance, I might need to optimise it further. So its opt in only at the moment.
Still working on the mission overhaul, will take a while, but its getting there...
Changes:
New nebula effect, but its opt in for now: Go to the options menu, click beta and enable it from there. Let me know how it performs!
Can now use arrow keys, joypad bumpers, VR controller to flick through pages on screens
Vendetta target now gets a boost to shields and top speed, to give an upside to having it
Races and stars added to codex, attack a non playable race to "discover" it
New weapons: Jammer mines, Jammer mine plus
Vendetta target should now show up orange on the radar
AI will no longer dodge stealthed weapons and also wont dodge while blinded
Craftables now sometimes require refined/enriched minerals
Station corridors now have the correct carpet colours
New error handling on the server end, hopefully will mean less disconnects and/or will help us see whats causing them

Mobocratic – Play as the president of the distant Bear Island where the lives of the citizens are yours to be improved – or destroyed. Lead the nation to prosperity – or witness its downfall!
IT DOESN’T IMITATE, IT IS.
Some political simulation games approach politics as if it was a Shakespearean play. Yes, politics is often entertaining, but it doesn’t follow a scripture. Therefore, in Mobocratic, we don’t just play you the play, we bring you in the middle of everything. Everything is simulated! Relations – check, jobs – check, bank transactions – check, court’s cases and convictions – check, political opinions – of course and much, much more. There’s nothing like being a Mobocrat!
BE A MOBOCRAT.
As the Mobocrat (or as somebody could say, the President) you don’t only try to pass your proposals to apply new policies and build new buildings; you also nominate the justices to the supreme court, meet new people, make deals with businessmen, hire criminals and send them to do your bidding, spy peoples’ bank accounts and criminal records and… even that’s not everything. You wanna try? Then, be a Mobocrat!
MOD EVERYTHING. *almost:
Mobocratic is the only political simulation game that allows player to mod their games with large scale. So you can make this game to be almost anything you want. Isn’t that exciting?
GUARANTEED UPDATES.
We guarantee our players a continually improving experience. You buy the game today and like it. In some months, the experience will be even better! We are committed to creating value to our players and want to create a game that we ourselves would like to play. This is why we guarantee continuous updates for at least one year!
A FINNISH INNOVATION.
The Finnish people are known for not trying to talk up themselves. We’re not an exception. We don’t want to boast and exaggerate our accomplishments. Despite this, we have to say we’ve made it this time. Mobocratic is a game the likes of which you’ve never seen before. Mobocratic has been in the works for two years. We were about to give up. But we didn’t. With the Finnish SISU we carried it through and made the masterpiece Mobocratic is. This is good. Not good, GREAT! A revolutionary game for the new generation!
