Hi everyone,

I hope you're all as excited about the full release as I am. There's only 14 days left now and we're super busy fixing the last bugs and issues. I really want to make sure everything works flawlessly when you receive it.

However, as the title indicates: I need your help translating the rest of the game!

Currently the following languages have untranslated content:

Russian, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Japanese, Italian, Turkish and Hungarian

If you speak any of these languages fluently (and have decent grammar skills), I would really appreciate any help over at Localizor:

https://www.localizor.com/game/1/translations

That's all for today :-)

Stay safe everyone and enjoy the weekend!

All the best,
Jonas

Turnip, Potato, Carrot, Wheat, Barley, Rye, Oats, Clover, Cabbage, Lettuce, Corn, Tomato, Strawberry are mostly done, animations, data (planned) , drops (some crops have multiple harvestable parts), i just need to finish the .xml for each crop that will control all the crop data, i will do all crops at once, so this will be done after the new ones.

And the 8 last crops were choosen:

Soybeans: 3 harvestables: Sprouts, Edamame and Soybeans, jokes aside soy is a very versatile plant, and required to make Tofu, Soy Sauce and Miso.
Greenbeans: 2 harvestables: Sprouts and Beans
Beets: 2 harvestables: Beet Greens and Beet Root
Sugarbeet: Sugarbeet is one of the two crops that can be used to make Sugar (Sugarcane is the other, not implemented yet)
Cucumber: Generic summer crop, need trellis
Grapes: the crop that requires the most investment right now, need large trellis and 60 days to grow
Onion: Very quick to raise, very versatile
Garlic: Very useful spice

The data for those has been researched and planned already, I am now making the models.

The final game will have more than 100 crops, but right now we have to focus on those 20.

I also started planning the UI, this is what i have in mind for the crop tooltip (shows when you mouseover on crops)

My brother is finishing the new crop tile system, the tiles adapt to the terrain, allowing the creation of large fields over hills and non-flat land, we don’t have anything pretty to show right now since we are using placeholders for now.

Hello Gamecrafters!

Last week we teased a few new parts coming to Gamecraft in the next update - State Blocks. If you haven’t read about all of those amazing new blocks, you can check out the patch notes here: https://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791464559041/announcements/detail/1819957482649597701

Alongside the State blocks, we have some more, equally exciting blocks to introduce to you. We present the first set of HUD blocks. Centre HUD, Objective HUD and the Game Stat HUD blocks!

These blocks are really powerful for bringing Objective based gameplay and displaying general feedback in your games. We’re going to show you a couple of examples of how these blocks could be used in your games.

Centre HUD
The Centre HUD block displays a piece of text in the middle of the screen. This is great for making announcements to the user such as the start of a race. You can update this in real time by giving the block some extra Text input.

You can read more about the Centre HUD block by reading our wiki doc here: https://freejamgames.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/GCEXT/pages/727842972/Centre+HUD+Block
Objective HUD
The Objective HUD can be used to assign tasks or goals, and mark them as complete. This is great for giving quests for users to complete so they can be given direction and know that they are in-fact heading in the right direction in your game. You can learn more about the Objective HUD block by reading our wiki doc here: https://freejamgames.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/GCEXT/pages/727908690/Objective+HUD+Block
Game Stat HUD
The Game Stats HUD block can be used to display a variety of game-specific info and stats. In this example we’ve hooked up a Timer, with its special “Text Port” output, straight to the Game Stat block so you can see the timer in action! We’ve also tracked the number of attempts the player has to run through the course. These Movers, Rotators and Dampers can be used to apply forces and torques to your creations. These blocks are extremely powerful and are going to open up so many new possibilities when it comes to creating physics based gameplay. We’ve already shown how these blocks can be used on our social media, so if you haven’t seen these already you can check them out below. The first is a hovercraft and the second is a gravity defying car. I never thought that I'd make a game of that genre in my life. Luckily, inspiration always comes out of nowhere and I've just pushed the "release" button on Steam for my new puzzle game! Its creation was a wonderful journey which me and my girlfriend went through together. Now I am ready to share it with you!
