Apologies for the lack of new features over the past week! I've been working really hard toward localisation support and I'll have another announcement about that probably later today! But I've just updated the default steam build to 0.17.78 with some bug fixes, and wanted to talk about those a little!
New in this build:
Fixed a number of (thankfully, rare!) stability issues around the new navigation mesh generation.
Player badges now vanish correctly when they log out.
Show a visible error message if OpenGL initialisation fails (due to OpenGL not being supported on the device)
Fixes a crash if the user attempts to close the game in the middle of a loading screen.
Improvements to region styling algorithm during map generation for a new game.
Extra safety around deactivating regions which players might be pathfinding inside.
Extra safety around attempts to print non-printable strings
...and a bunch of other more minor fixes/improvements!
Most of the navmesh stability issues only happened if the map was generating really small navigation triangles; it would mostly only happen with triangles that were less than 1cm in size! (which could happen if you were packing buildings really really close to other obstructions, but not *quite* touching them)
I promise the next update will be much more exciting! :D

Hey all, sorry the update is a little late and less this week but I always want to push out something where possible. The reason for it being a busy week is because I have been in some talks to get some additional funding for Fall of Civilization which im happy to confirm has begun. I am doing some part time work for Koryu Studios on Shotgun Samurai, an upcoming retro FPS set in the cyberpunk genre. This means my time on Fall of Civilization may be less in the coming weeks but I will still put out updates where I can and I just want you to know, even if it doesn't look like I am doing much, I'm doing it for the game. So, this is the first iteration screenshot for the new Inventory system and UI. Placing in the corner of the screen instead of appearing in your face as before. I am also adding a new drag and drop system for the items that I hope I will be able to show you soon.

Shrines are magical constructs found in the world that can be activated by clicking on them. They have a variety of exciting effects - such as summoning enemies for you to fight, spawning temporary allies to assist you in combat, and granting powerful, time-limited buffs.
Shrines can only be activated once. Activating a Shrine is optional; it is possible to simply walk past one without clicking on it. A Shrine may be more dangerous than it initially seems.
The Shrines from each era have their own unique model. Additionally, their appearance will update when they are activated, and again when their duration expires. We've posted the concept art for each of these models below. Which one's your favourite?

Update 92 Preview Hi everyone! We're happy to announce the new incoming update for Of Guards and Thieves. Update 92 will be released with a new FREE DLC called "Hunting Grounds" which includes, new classes, new weapons, new official maps and a series of minor improvements and rebalance.
But before this we want to announce that from now on all accounts will become GOLD, up to date to be established (at the end of this period the accounts will return to normal), This means that all players will have all classes unlocked immediately and will be able to use the map editor. Why are we doing this? Because of the pandemic (COVID-19) we think it is a nice gesture to be able to allow everyone to do something new within the game, with their friends while staying at home.
The gold account will obviously remain on sale, if you want to support us you can buy it. In addition, all paid DLCs will be 20% off for 2 weeks sale starting today (from March 13th to March 27)
