“Is it friendship? Or is it something more?” goes a common sentiment, particularly on days like today, when we celebrate the anniversary of Captain Cook getting stabbed to death. Well, that’s a stupid question, because there is nothing more than friendship.

Games are, for once, not much worse than other media at depicting and exploring themes of friendship. In fact, some of the best stories about it are in games. But since society is still too backwards to give those relationships their own day, I’m hijacking this tiresome profit-motivated holiday in their name.

The yearly D.I.C.E awards are officially wrapped for 2019’s games and a familiar bandit reportedly sneaked into the event. Well, as much as one’s sneaking when they’ve been nominated for a handful of awards. The Untitled Goose Game had its non-name thrown in the hat for Game Of The Year and the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences membership voted it in as winner. Congrats, horrible goose. Go add that shiny trophy to your collection of other stolen goods on top of the village bell and that lad’s glasses. You’ve done good.

Remedy Entertainment’s most recent financial report released today, and while most of it is full of business-y stuff that’s not particularly interesting, there are a few juicy tidbits telling us what the studio is working on. One of most exciting things the Control and Max Payne creators mentioned is that they have two brand new games in early development: one they’ve yet to announce, and another they’re calling project Vanguard.

This week in GTA Online, the shiny Dewbauchee Vagner supercar has a tidy 35% discount. I’ve heard it’s a good car and, being flush with cash from the recent giveaways, I thought I’d treat myself to one. Oh! Yes, that’s a good car. That’s a really good car. That’s great. I’ve never driven a good car before. If I’d known GTA Online’s expensive cars were actually great, not just flashy, I wouldn’t have spent literal years of ill-gotten gains on novelty cars and wacky trash. I have amassed sensible family cars, crapmobiles, and racing hearses when I could have been travelling with style, speed, and luxury. And yet, I am still proud of my garage of garbage and wish to show you what I’ve been suffering through.

Happy love day, you disgusting piece of filth. Got you. That was an example of what today s young people call neggling . This is when you are nice and nasty in such quick succession that the body becomes inexplicably aroused. Spasms of lust take over both neggler and negglee, resulting in a paroxysm of extramarital sex and, subsequently, the degeneration of humanity. Steam’s soundtrack sale is nearly over, but as the resident soundtrack fanatic here at RPS, I thought it was only right and proper to take some time out and celebrate some of my favourite tracks and compilations. Former Starbreeze Studios chief financial officer Sebastian Ahlskog was convicted of insider trading this Tuesday. This follows from Sweden’s Economic Crime Authority seizing SEK 700,000 (roughly 55,300 or $72,100) from him in December 2018 while raiding the company’s headquarters and at least one private home, under suspicion that he’d abused his position to profit from Starbreeze’s financial troubles.

Roccat’s Kain 120 mouse was one of my favourite and best gaming mouse champs of 2019, so when I heard they were making a wireless version in the form of the Kain 200, you could say I got a bit excited. Not only does it have the Kain 120’s lovely Titan Click switches, but it also uses the same comfy chassis, too. How, then, did it all go so terribly wrong?
