Monster Hunter: World - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Lauren Morton)

We’re all sick of the cold at this point, right? You’ve all trekked through Iceborne in your oversized snowshoes and whatnot and we’re ready for something different? Great, because Monster Hunter: World is getting two monster variants on PC in April and they’re going to melt the boots right off you. The third free “title update” for MWH is the last that will have a staggered release between PC and console players. In April, both versions of the game will pair up for updates going forward.

Activision Blizzard have pulled all their games from the GeForce Now game streaming service, according to Nvidia. The service only launched in full last week, after two years in beta, and now none of its subscribers will be able to use it to play Blizzard’s games. Sekiro will be missed, for one, as will Overwatch, and the Call Of Duty games. Nobody really wins here.

Ether Loop - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Ollie Toms)

It is my estimation, as someone who has played literally ones> of such games, that a good bullet hell should make you say two things. The first: “This is fun!” The second: “I am so bad at this!” I arrived at this conclusion after reviewing the hasty observations I’d scrawled during an hour playing top-down roguelite bullet hell Ether Loop, and realising that every single one of them could be categorised under one of these two headings.

When AMD announced their latest Raise the Game bundle last week, which gets you two free games when you buy selected Radeon RX 5000 series graphics cards, their latest and greatest RX 5600 XT GPU was mysteriously absent. Perhaps it was a deliberate snub, perhaps it was an honest mistake. Whatever the reason, our best graphics card champion has now been restored to its rightful place in AMD’s free games bundle, allowing you to get free copies of Monster Hunter: World’s Iceborne Master Edition and Resident Evil 3 and three months of Xbox Game Pass when you buy it new.

Overwatch‘s Workshop has birthed so many weird and wonderful game modes, and I hate to admit I’ve not messed around with it as much I’d like to. I did today though, because I discovered a brilliant Workshop tool that lets you play (almost) any song you like on the piano on the Paris map. All you need are some midi files and a dream. And a bit of time to faff around with the settings.

Naturally, I made it play the dumb Witcher song, and also some tunes from Animal Crossing because… why not?

Let us cast our minds back to pirate times now, as we embark on brand new adventures set in the sober nautical history simulation called Sea Of Thieves. In this intermittent chronicle, we’ll be following the story of Captain Bartholomew Humungus, played by Nate, as he attempts to go down in history by completing the legendary 12 Labours of Pirate Hercules (which tasks Nate has, of course, made up). He won’t get far on his own, mind, as he’s never played before – so assisting him (i.e. carrying him) will be First Mate Dolly Roger, played by Imogen, and Humungus’ biographer, the mysterious Mariana Hench, played by Matt Cox.

Will they complete all twelve labours? What strange people will they meet, on this ocean of kleptomaniacs? Are skeletons even real?> Read on to find out…

Destiny 2 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

For the second time in a fortnight, Destiny 2 was last night taken down for hours of emergency maintenance after accidentally wiping some players’ spacewallets of Glimmer, Bright Dust, and other spacecurrencies and crafting materials. Turns out, the fix last time didn’t fully hold. Bungie have once again rolled back characters to restore lost valuables, which means anything your spacemen did between 4:30pm and 6:30pm GMT yesterday has been wiped out. That’s a bummer if you logged on right after the weekly reset to enjoy Crimson Days, the Valentine’s Day event, or to spend ages swapping timegems for guns. Though I’ve heard of worse Valentine’s disasters.

Gaming laptops are usually crazy expensive compared to their desktop counterparts, but your ever faithful deals herald has managed to find one that’s quite possibly the gaming laptop deal of the decade. Right now, you can get an RTX 2060 Max-Q-powered Razer Blade Pro laptop from Ebuyer for 1650. That’s still a fair old whack, of course, but when you consider a Blade Pro of this calibre would normally set you back around 2200 and> you get a bunch of free peripherals with it and a free copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 (hence our lad Arthur enjoying a nice hot bath up the top there), it ends up being quite the steal.

As I continue to build stuff in The Sims 4, I am going to start highlighting some of the amazing work being done by custom content creators. This week, one of my absolute favourite creators, Ravasheen, released a new bedroom set – the That’s What She Bed bunk bed series (one of the reasons Ravasheen is a favourite of mine is that all of their custom content has an agonising pun name). They’re cool, they’re customisable, and they actually work>. Sims can get in the top bunk and do a sleep!

This is especially amazing because even though I haven’t been in The Sims fandom very long, I already know that they have been hammering at Maxis’s gates demanding libert , galit , lit superpos for quite some time now. The That’s What She Bed series comes with a bunch of other furniture, several configurations for the beds, and is generally cute af. Here are some photos demonstrating these facts.
