With the PC release of Monster Hunter World's superb Iceborne expansion finally out of the way, Capcom is quickly playing catch-up to bring parity between the game on Steam and console. And tomorrow sees the developer making major headway, dropping a new PC update that finally adds its hilariously odd Resident Evil crossover, new monster Rajang and more.

From tomorrow, Iceborne players can go face-to-fist against huge, angry ape Rajang. The oversized primate (a thunder type monster if you're wondering) first made its debut in 2006's Monster Hunter 2 for PS2, and more recently popped up in the staggeringly generous Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate on 3DS and Switch. Rajang is a fast, aggressive, and frequently devastating opponent, and its Monster Hunter World makeover is absolutely terrifying. Oh, and its reworked theme tune is an absolute jazzy corker.

In order to fight Rajang, Iceborne players will need to converse with the Admiral in Seliana after beating the game and visiting the Guiding Lands at least once. And speaking of the Guiding Lands, tomorrow sees the addition of a new Volcanic Region.

Florence is a wonderful mobile game that will now come to Switch, Steam, GOG and Mac App Store on 13th February.

It's a game about Florence, a woman dealing with day-to-day life, love, and everything else, just like all of us. It very cleverly uses micro-games, or interactions, to have you do things like brush your teeth, argue, and kiss.

I watched my son play it on my phone, which was a bizarre way to experience it, particularly as he was seven years old and unaware of the kind of things Florence was dealing with - though it's testament to the game's gorgeous illustrative style and friendly nature he stuck with it. What was special about it, though - and I didn't know it would do this beforehand - was it ended up being an insight into my life separated from his mother. It was, accidentally, quite profound.

Some people bloody love trains. I do not. Except maybe the Eurostar. Ah, now that's a good train. Sadly, it doesn't appear to be a part of the latest Humble Train Simulator Bundle. If it was I'd probably be all over this offer.

Fans of pootling along any old railway track will want to check out the Train Simulator 2020 Bundle, though. Running from today until 25th February, Humble has gone a little off the rails to include $449 worth of locomotive goodness that'll have you chugging along everywhere from West Palm Beach to Medway Valley. One definitely sounds a lot more glamorous than the other.

As with all these Humble things, you can pay what you want for the bundle, but if you pass certain thresholds you get access to additional tiers. Here's how it's broken down:

If Nioh was Team Ninja rediscovering its mojo, then the imminent sequel sees the prolific Shinjuku studio further refine its beloved art. This isn't a radical reinvention, nor a drastic evolution; rather it's a subtle retooling that presents a more aggressive, fantastical and diverse playground of miscreants to scythe through. It's a mean, purposeful mutation of Nioh's original formula.

"When we worked on Nioh, we discussed a lot about what we do best as Team Ninja, and what are we best at," says Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi. "All that amazing feedback confirmed our identity, what we're good at - that's the biggest compliment we received, and we just want to carry on doing what we do best."

What is it that Team Ninja does best? Hayashi has it down as an extension of Koei Tecmo's exploration of historical eras, as well as its mastery of combat. I'd whittle it down further still, and say Team Ninja's strong hand has typically been its hard-edged action that feels exquisite, a taut elasticity to protagonists that boast incredible depth in their movesets. Nioh 2 takes all that and strengthens it, all while expanding your moveset. After an hour playing through a short section pulled through the middle of the game, it's probably the most satisfying Team Ninja title I've played since Ninja Gaiden Black.

Fable Fortune, the card-battling spin-off from Lionhead's much-missed fantasy RPG series, will shut down for good on 4th March.

With its fate sealed, Fable Fortune's in-game store is now disabled.

The shutdown was originally announced last week, two and a bit years after the game first arrived in early access. It's worth remembering for how close the game got to never seeing the light of day at all.

UPDATE 6pm: Following the release of Fortnite's 11.5 update earlier today, Epic has detailed its Valentine's-Day-themed limited-time Love and War event, which is already underway.

Love and War's focal point is the new "community made" limited-time mode Search and Destroy, described as a "classic Attack and Defend game... Fortnite-ified". It runs until 17th February, and is designed for teams of six, with objectives changing depending on whether players are placed on the attacking or defending side.

Attackers can claim victory by destroying the bomb site, defenders by protecting it, and it's possible to win simply by eliminating the opposing team. Each game can last up to 11 rounds, with victory being declared once a team has achieved six wins.
