Some games are like chips. Sin imparted these wise and useful words as I stared at this empty intro, struggling to convey the mildly-satisfying beigeness of Zombie Army 4: Dead War. It’s about shooting many zombies, in a way that you may have done many times before. The zombies pop and crumble, as they should. The guns have punch and the punch has gumption, and sometimes a neat electric effect.

It’s a fundamentally solid shooter, but also far from an exciting one.

Half-Life - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

You know the cyberjape of running text back and forth through Google Translate in different languages until it comes out as wacky nonsense? Someone has done to that Half-Life. The new mod Half-Life: Google Translate Edition has garbled Valve’s game, from changing sign textures through to recording new lines of dialogue. I played a bit (and recorded a wee video) and yeah, I still find this old joke funny enough.

One scientist hanging with his pal in a corridor casually opines, “I don’t think we should hurt everyone.”

MORDHAU - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Matt Cox)

You never know what you’re going to see on a Mordhau duel server. People dress as Shreks and gnomes. Others hold up their arms in eternal ‘come at me’ gestures, constantly braying rather than fighting. I once joined a server where everyone wielded lightsabers and force-jumps. It’s a weird frontier.

Sadly, I have never hopped into a server full of people playing cricket using shields as balls and staffs as bats. Happily, someone else has, and there is video.

Rocket League® - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Imogen Beckhelling)

If you couldn’t get into a game of Rocket League over the weekend, you’re not alone. Because of some weird technical difficulties, players were removed from the game’s servers while it was put into “maintenance mode” on and off over the last few days. It couldn’t have come at a more inconvenient time either, as the issues caused a bunch of official esports matches to be pushed back, too.

Legends of Runeterra is about to enter its open beta and this collectible card game has its fair share of unique features. Perhaps the most unique is how it implements the signature League of Legends champions. They are the strongest units in every deck and the ones you’ll be mostly forming your deck around. Each one of the six different regions, or colour combinations, that you can build your deck around have four champions. We’ll be listing exactly what every single champion card does.

Kids these days just don’t seem to realise that Minecraft seeds are far more than just the string of characters that make up your Minecraft world: they’re a form of artistic expression>. Why leave the game to dredge up some meaningless string of numbers, when you could instead seed your world with something like “I love you 3000”, or “RobertUnderdunkTerwilliger”, or some other excellent film or TV reference?

If you’re of a similar mind on this, you shouldn’t be disappointed by the amount of fun I had creating this Minecraft 1.15 seeds guide. Below you’ll find a carefully curated selection of the very best Minecraft seeds for 1.15, 1.14 and 1.13 that we’ve found. Whether you’re after a particularly challenging island seed or a lush starting area with everything you need in easy reach, we’ve got a multitude of worlds for you.

There have been a lot of new entries in our best graphics card list over the last year or so, and 2020 is looking like it’s going to be just as disruptive. While we’ve probably seen most of the best graphics cards that Nvidia are going to release this generation, AMD are just getting started. Indeed, their Radeon RX 5600 XT has just entered our best graphics card list as our new pick for flawless 1080p gaming, and has caused a shake-up in our best graphics card for 1440p category as well.

Naturally, this best graphics card list will be regularly updated throughout 2020 as newer, better graphics cards start coming in and pushing out the old ones, but for now, here are my best graphics card recommendations for 1080p, 1440p and 4K gaming as things currently stand. For each category, you’ll find the best graphics card for playing games at a smooth 60fps on max settings at each resolution, followed by the next best graphics card you should actually buy if you’d rather save a bit of money and aren’t that fussed about having the best graphics settings.

I was a little afraid of returning to this one. Not because I knew it’d mean returning to The Cradle, even though I was very intrigued to see if it would still work. But because I once scored it 90% in a magazine, and I really didn’t want to be wrong. What if I’d been caught up in the hype of reviewing a massive title from one of the best ever developers? Then I’d feel silly.

Your card selection in Legends of Runeterra might be somewhat limited to start off with. In order to get more cards, you’ll either need to buy stuff from the store, or gain as much XP as possible. There are both weekly vaults and reward tracks that contain a bunch of free cards that you can use to build decks.
