We are reaching our first birthday since the Steam Release! Congratulations for keeping a wipe for an entire year! We reached the second millennium IC for the first time in Azusa RP and we are heading toward the third! Alot of stories and generation went through the continent of Azusa, but we have also passed through alot of gameplay changes and updates!
To commemorate everything we are organizing a free period, grab a copy of Azusa and start developing characters that can change completely the flow of the game story!
And we are ready to receive a more casual player-base by introducing the new Azusa Battle Arena game mode! You can read more about it here!
And while we are here, to keep this nostalgic feeling lets make a quick review of main changes of the year!
The release came with the introduction of Azusa's trial systems!, a group of mechanics that helps players actions change in fact the world, unlocking new areas, objects, enemies in events that can be customized in-game with many features by the admin team depending on the global story!
After the first months we introduced a big game changing feature, the complete re-work in the travel system introducing a mini-map of the continent, and alot of new concepts to the world positioning, being able to visit new custom smaller maps, encounter areas for when crossing with other players in your journeys and a complete review of how food and vigor should affect these adventures! Letting now the players explore way beyond the main-maps and use better strategy to take control of the world during Great Wars! Positioning characters in strategic places to ambush enemies would now give a whole new meaning to Azusa! Not to mention the introduction of a huge package of new armors with some very interesting skill mechanics!
The new travel system opened space for even more interesting features to be introduced, the custom training that uses both, custom zones with the trial system to let completely custom training adventures to be set in-game! Being able to, for example, make a volcano training event line, where the guardian would have to practice on a rock surrounded by lava pits in a life risking adventure or a weight training push ups by a cliff, or anything the roleplayers creativity can design! Each with their unique dangers and status gains! Also in this period is when we introduced the new mounts to help at the travels, horses, kraken and possible custom mounts aswell!
My favorite big change the game had this year, was the Battle tags, similar to the trials and travel systems, this one opened the game for alot of cool new features to still be explored in next versions! Now, characters can raise their control over the nature in battle, creating advantages based off heat, cold, wet, poison, sekishiki, wind, will power, telekinetic, static and stability. Each giving uniques buffs and debuffs to the battle, and letting the player to raise their control enough to use skills that arent a normal part of their original set, this makes the character builds even more unique and dynamic! Not to mention this is when the armor breaking systems were introduced!
I can't forget to mention the introduction of the legendary races! A new tier of playable race, the Dracklians and Beastlians, originally humans that once were cursed by a god to have part of their conscience locked into monsters to suffer eternally that however managed to, by themselves recover their mortality, these now half-humans and half beasts creatures can manage to control and transform between their two forms! This month also introduced the 10 new legendary natures, extremelly rare they usually unlock even more powerfull effects, they are, wild (darkness), time, gravity, blood, thunder, dimension, light, sword, and nature.
All of these big changes and new systems created the need for specific updates focused in bug-fixes and gameplay adjustments, we had some months of development focused at those and got our roleplay rewarding systems to be re-worked, map save system to be remade. And more skills to guarantee that the story would flow regardless of "out of control progression", more sealing skills, an ultimate life sacrificing rare perk that boosts your cosmo, letting you fight way stronger enemies. Not to mention the addiction of new elites and zodiacs, up to Sagitarius!
Would also like to congratulate everyone who have been part of Azusa's story till this point! I can't wait to see what future awaits!
Another hard-working week behind us, time to share with you some news from our beloved neighborhood! This Friday, we’ll say something about the equipment and storing.
As you can probably guess, the game will have its equipment system. The treats have to be moved from place to place somehow, and carrying it on view isn't the best idea. If someone's doing it, he's probably not taking orders anymore. It's hard to do it from behind the bars. But do not worry, our character has one of the most important inventions of humankind: pockets.
Unfortunately, they don’t have infinite space, so walking around with few tons of goods won't be possible ;) By investing in “pocket” skill, you can increase the number of pockets, to carry more items with you. If you didn't have an occasion to read about skills, check out our Devlog #7.
No matter how many pockets you have, they haven’t much room. You can use them only for small amounts of your items. The problem starts with bigger orders and when there's more of them. Hiding everything in your pants wouldn't be enough. Grab a backpack to expand your possibilities and take more stuff with you.
Are there any students or tourists around the ghetto? Well, no. That’s why carrying a fully stuffed backpack can look suspicious. Sometimes it's better to rethink your logistics before leaving the house. The big backpack can not only get more attention but also decelerate your running speed.
The personal equipment won’t be the only place to store the products. If you aren’t the type of guy that carries all the goods he owns with him, you’re the right person in the right position. You can store your stuff in other places, like lockers, desks, or other containers.
Dealers have various creative ways to keep their treats safe. But sometimes, you need to adapt to the actual possibilities. It not only depends on the state of your surroundings but also time. We don’t have much of it while running from the police patrol. Always be prepared for the worst, so it isn't wise to carry any product in this situation. If you can't lose them, look around you, some elements from your surroundings can serve as a provisional hide spot. But don’t leave your treats there for long, or it'll be found and taken!
It's good to have some hiding place for our stuff. Whether it's in case of the police or younger siblings who love to steal things. Do you have any secret places like that? Let us know and see you next Friday!

If you’ve already played Edge Of Eternity early access, we strongly advise you to start a new file just to start a new game to play chapter 0 to have a better grasp of the main plot of the story (& also check out our amazing new cutscenes :p). Once you’re done, just get back to your main save as Chapter 0 doesn’t affect your progress.
We’ve also completely reworked the tutorial to make it more fluid & intuitive, so that new players understand better the main mechanics of the game. We've also added new mechanics that'll be explained soon alongside some quality of life improvements. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you think of all the new stuff.
