Greetings, the inhabitants of our little forest! This update adds to the game the long-awaited story entry at the start of a new campaign. A new type of traits for foes appeared - reaction. Reactions should make the battle more interactive. And we added 6 new routes for regions. Also we posted our roadmap. Check it out.
Changes in version 0.281.
The plot:
Added story intro at the start of the campaign. So far, temporary music has been used during the intro.
Foe:
Foes have a new type of trait: reaction. Reaction triggers under certain conditions during the player’s turn.
Before activating the reaction, the foe will say something, indicating activation.
Added trait: Fast Reflexes. If the foe was damaged several times per turn (the number of times depends on the level of the trait), then the foe immediately makes a response attack without waiting for they turn.
Added trait: Alarmed. If the foe was damaged several times per turn (the number of times depends on the level of the trait), then the foe will completely ignore the next incoming damage.
Added trait: Agile. Reduces incoming damage 2 times until foe is dealt damage several times per turn (the number of times depends on the level of the trait).
Added trait: Spiky. Returns % of the first incoming damage during your turn (the number of depends on the trait level).
Reorganization of icons for traits. Now the icons display the type of trait, and are not tied to any particular trait.
The tooltip of a trait shows its level.
Items:
Cursed Skull now gives 4 curse cards instead of 1.
Region map
Added 3 new routes for the western region.
Added 3 new routes for the northern region.
The fight:
Experience and damage popups are not shown if the value is 0.
Fixed display of experience in the victory window.
Campaign:
Added a window offering to share your impressions from the game on the forum after defeating the baron.

World 11, ‘Heracles’, has been added! The song is by the musician Yooh , whose music you might have heard in other rhythm games like SOUND VOLTEX. The level design is by Exschwasion, with tutorial tracks contributed by Riya. Test your skills with a variety of track shapes in this high-energy, high-tempo battle.
New level editor features:
Decorations: You can now Add or Move Decoration events. This allows you to upload images and place them throughout the level, separate from the background layer
Orbit Easing: Set Orbit Ease level settings or events. Now the planets can rotate with a little more customization between notes
Two New Track Styles: Neon Light and Gems
Undo and Redo: Use Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y to undo and redo your changes in the editor
Improvements and bug fixes:
You can use F5 and F7 keys to make Pentagons and Heptagons in the level editor (There may be a few bugs with this for now)
You can now lock the Rotation property for backgrounds, so that they don’t rotate during the level
Improved scrubbing for Move Tiles event
Tile icon black outline bug fixed
Update to UI: Properties that are useless will become greyed out
If open a custom level with a high tempo detected, Otto will get a little flustered in the corner.

We have more updates planned for 2020, so be ready for some very challenging levels in the future. We’ll also be adding a few more level editor features along with them.

- Fix the problem that bombs thrown by Tindra and enemies may not be thrown properly. All bombs gain the effect of passing through other units within 0.2 seconds after being generated. - Fix an issue where the Chaos Band may trigger an incorrect effect after loading a game. - Improve the asynchronous loading of images, and fix the icon display error in the train selection UI. - Fix an issue that caused invisible triggers in Skeletal Immortal battle to be poisoned by Miasma.
In addition, any participant from RU and PvP servers will receive 20 "A-Zone" pins for every 50 wins after first 100 wins, while any participant from PvE server will get 20 "A-Zone" pins for every 50 wins.
Reki here. The Linux version of the Exchange Update is out! Sorry for the wait. It’s important to me to keep a this version up to date, as I use a lot of open source software myself. I worked day and night to fix the very strange Linux specific issues with the update.
I’ve also noticed on my 10 year old Linux machine that performance is much better after the optimizations I did. If you’ve had issues maintaining a stable 60 fps, I hope this helps.
As a Korean company, we could not miss the Lunar New Year, as it is one of the most important traditional holidays here.
The Korean Lunar New Year is actually called "Seollal" and is generally celebrated for three days. It is a family holiday - a bit like how Christmas is all about family in the West, amd most Koreans go back to their hometown to be with their relatives. Some families perform ancestral rites, and most eat traditional food and play games. Children also usually get money envelops after formally bowing to their elders.
BS:ER is also celebrating this special occasion with a new community event!
Rat Survival: Eternal Return (Lunar New Year Community Event)
2020 is the “Year of the Rat!” 🐀 Unfortunately for us here at the Nimble Neuron offices, we are experiencing a bit of a Rat problem right now. It seems that Rats have gotten into a lot of our websites. YouTube, Facebook, Discord, even our Nimble Neuron website! All infested!
To make matters worse, since it’s the holidays, all the exterminators are closed. Therefore, I, GM_Aesop, come to you all, hat in hand, and ask for your help in finding all the rats.
There are 25 rats hiding away all throughout our websites. Anywhere you can find BS:ER stuff, rats are probably there.
If you find all the rats, you’ll get a special reward.
