I've been hard at work these past two and a half weeks building two features I really like. I like them so much in that I thought them worthy of an announcement!
First up, the colour picker:
With this feature you can quite literally modify every colour aspect of the game. One of the advantages of keeping true to single-colour wire-frame graphics is that awesome customisation options like this one can be created.
Not only that, but if you hit the export button, it generates a code that you can paste in a forum, or a chat or on the Community Hub and share your creations with the world. Here is an example.
Furthermore you can just select and copy that code, then go back into the game and press the Import button. Presto now you are using someone else's colour scheme.
I can't wait to see what you guys make. If you're having trouble using the import/export I recommend checking out the release notes here which contain gifs showing how to use the feature.
Up next, Player Stats
This is a pretty low impact feature but it did take some code tickling under the hood and it is a prerequisite for Steam Achievements. Can't give stuff I you can't track stuff.
Sadly, they don't do much right now... Apart from display themselves... But you can take a screenshot and post it in the community hub to show how much you die.
Vecter is heading to EGX Rezzed 2020
That's right everyone I'll be there to meet you all and hopefully get some more people to try out my little baby. I do recommend you come by and say hi even if you have been playing Vecter because:
a) It's nice to say hello :) b) I'm not coming to demo it on a regular PC, I'll be there with the Vecter Arcade Machine
And, depending how much time i'll have to prepare, the arcade machine will have a special leaderboard attached to it that will only be available for the 3-day period during EGX and will only be accessible from that Arcade Machine.
One of us! One of us!
Okay that's it from me, I'm out catch you later! bye bye! Happy holidays! See ya!
As was announced the other day, in order for Bright Memory Early Access version owners to experience the Bright Memory: Infinite RTX tech demo, we have added it in an update.
It is possible to select whether to start the Bright Memory Early Access version or the Bright Memory: Infinite RTX tech demo from the Steam client. The controls are simple, right click to pause and left click the the RTX toggle menu in the bottom right of the screen to toggle RTX on and off.
The Bright Memory: Infinite RTX tech demo uses several RTX technologies such as RT Reflection, RT Shadows, RT Global Illumination, and RT Ambient Occlusion. The demo should run at 4K 60FPS with an RTX 2080 graphics card.
As a reminder, the tech demo is merely to demonstrate RTX technology, any characters, locations, enemies or story elements may or may not appear in the final product.
If you are a member of the master race and your PC can handle it please do check out the Bright Memory: Infinite tech demo!
the year is slowly coming to an end and we would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you"!
Thank you for all your feedback, the exchange with you guys and your interest in Dead Age and Dead Age 2! We are working hard to launch the game into Steam Early Access in late Q1 or early Q2 2020. It takes quite some time to implement all the cool new features and your feedback and we only want to offer you guys the best Dead Age 2 experience possible!
More information on the game and (of course) also on the launch date for Dead Age 2 will be revealed soon. In the meantime you can check out Dead Age on your PlayStation 4 (that we just released yesterday!) and on your Xbox One with improved controller support.
Oh, and can we ask you for a little Christmas favor? Please add Dead Age 2 to your Steam Wishlist. By wishlisting the game you can help us to improve it even further. You can of course also tell your friends about the game and share the Dead Age 2 steam page link with them. We would really appreciate that!
Okay, enough talk. Thanks a lot for your ongoing support! We wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year - have a good start into 2020!
