We have released patch 0.8.3.1 with the following fixes:
Fixes:
Using specific markup on signs and vehicle license plates can no longer crash clients around the object, not allowing them to reenter the game.
Giving reputation to a player with a unicode name (shown ingame as "?????") will no longer crash the client of the reputation giver.
We added a potential fix for leaves and vegetation on Mac and Linux not being displayed, please give us a heads up if it works.
State of Update 9.0: As you know Update 9.0 has been in development for quite some time now and while we planned to have it released this year, we feel like the Update needs some more time to be what we want it to be. We already started weekend community tests for invited members of the community some weeks ago and want to take time to implement their feedback and fix as many reported bugs as possible before release.
Update 9.0 next to a lot of new features will now also include major balance changes and lots of background changes to improve performance both on client- as well as on server-side, given those two issues were on top of our priority list after all the feedback you - the community - gave us. All of this takes additional time, as we have to clean out some legacy issues in the game to get to a state from where development will be easier and faster with us being able to switch our main focus more onto new content.
In the process of developing this update we also decided to add additional measures to improve performance that weren't planned previously (for example migrating the server to .NET Core 3 in order to natively support linux servers which also leads to linux users being able to play singleplayer natively after one of the minor updates following 9.0) to have a good base for future updates that can then be released with less content per update, but a higher update frequency.
The day that all of you have not seen coming is finally here! After a neverending wild party and getting sober over entire months, we have changed some plans and worked so hard to give you an experience never seen before and based of an already legendary game and probably the best game we have ever created! ĖEMO_DUDEĖ
KILL THE EMOJI - THE REMAKE is out now and will give you the ultimate FPS Experience with Emojis, everything you love from the original is in the game and even much more!
(but doesn't make this technically a remaster? ah what the hell it doesn't matter, because it's new, it's different, it's better!) ĖEMO_DRUNKENAPEĖ
This new version will bring you tons of new content and improvements, including a new graphical overhaul, new and rebalanced maps, a new challenge mode, new funky emojis, new and reworked weapons, cool new achievements and more!
We want to thank all of you who have supported us for all this time so far. We hope you will enjoy this game and the finest work a drunken ape could do. And we are eager to see your reaction and reviews! Much love...
We meet again! (And so soon, too!) Power Level Studios has been knocking out the checklist of bugs one-by-one, and our newest build implements some excellent changes made to Soul Reaper's UI. If you've played one of the recent versions, you'll have noticed that the pause menus were becoming somewhat homologous. Everything was starting to blend together, making navigation rather difficult at times. In Version 0.0.5, however, the menus have been improved significantly! Check out the massive screenshot comparison below for a quick look at the changes!
Squad Screens:
Squad selection in 0.0.4.
Squad selection in 0.0.5. Power levels are better displayed, and the equipped squad is now highlighted with color.
Squad management in 0.0.4.
Squad management in 0.0.5. Plenty of visual improvements, and units now face the right direction.
Soul Reaper's Menu:
Soul Reaper's menu in 0.0.4.
Soul Reaper's menu in 0.0.5. Item rarity is now easily displayed, and gold trim indicates the presence of Soul Gear.
Inventory:
Inventory menu in 0.0.4.
Inventory menu in 0.0.5. General visual improvements and larger font for the heading.
Feats:
Feats screen in 0.0.4.
Feats screen in 0.0.5. Bars thinned out to display more info, and overall look has been differentiated from Vipo's Feats screen.
Reapedia:
Reapedia menu in 0.0.4.
Reapedia menu in 0.0.5. As seen with squad management, Stats and Row Bonus sections are organized to stand out more prominently. Element type now properly displays.
Settings:
Settings menu in 0.0.4.
Settings menu in 0.0.5. It gets its own space instead of being an overlay, and the new design makes it much easier to navigate.
It should also be noted that the background now changes with location. For example, pausing in Polarus will bring up the icy landscape behind the menus.
Looks a little cold to be sitting there, but if he doesn't mindā¦
In addition, we've also improved the Feats menu. It received a visual overhaul back in 0.0.4, and now features one-button claiming. Claim your rewards by simply clicking on the completed status bar (or "Turn in" button). It's been far more streamlined!
Vipo hands out some nice prizes, so remember to check back with her every now and then!
As always, there's more to every update than meets the eye! Here's the changelog for Version 0.0.5, courtesy of Danny Forest!

Over the past week, we've uploaded two short videos highlighting Loot Artifacts and Soul Gear. Taking advantage of these systems can improve your performance in battle significantly, and it's a lot of fun experimenting with the perks generated from the right amount of customization!
A more comprehensive outline of both these systems can be found in our Guides section, but for a quick tl;dr:
Loot Artifact: Piece of loot belonging to a specific set which, when 3 pieces of its corresponding set are equipped across a row of units, grants special bonuses to each unit in the row.
Soul Gear: Combinations of specific souls and loot pieces that produce special bonuses to the wearer.
Take a look at the videos below for a brief overview, and enjoy experimenting with the plethora of combinations available!
Artifacts can make your army both fashionable and deadly! Costume party, anyone?
By slotting the right souls into the right loot, you'll add some highly lethal side effects to your attacks!
If you ever want a quick refresher, you can open up the Settings tab in the menu, and click on the corresponding "Help" button for either section! We've listed plenty of combinations you can try out, so feel free to give it a gander when needed!
Feedback Feeds TheĀ Reaper
It cannot be overstated just how vital criticism is to our work. (It's an important part of any Reaper's diet!) The content of these updates has been shaped around, and made possible by, the feedback we've been receiving from the community! It's been fantastic having players assist with the development process, and Soul Reaper is looking better each day because of it! Thank you all for your continued support, and feel free to reach out to us if you'd like to share your opinion!

Update #4 brings a highly anticipated Local Co-op Multiplayer mode to SUPERVERSE game.
How to play Up to 4 players can play the game together on the same computer. In co-op game players are represented by distinctly colored HUD (blue, red, green and yellow) and P1 to P4 icons above spaceship.
Joining the game To play co-op, begin new game by selecting Play from main menu, the same way you would start the game for single-player mode. Select the spaceship and game will launch as usual.
Another player wishing to join the game should press FIRE button on the game controller (typically the green 'A' button on Xbox compatible game controller) or on the keyboard (SPACE / ENTER / CTRL). This will bring up the spaceship selection screen. Player can select ship and color and join the game.
Leaving the game At any point player can leave the game and allow others to continue playing by pausing the game, entering the in-game menu and selecting Leave game P2 (where P2 refers to player who will leave the game).
Respawning In case the player's spaceship gets destroyed, its core AI program will be preserved in the Spirit pod. Other players may continue playing, but they may also choose to resurrect their companion by salvaging spirit pod. This will respawn spaceship and put it back in action. When level is successful finished all players will again respawn in next one.
Remote Play Together
You can enjoy playing SUPERVERSE with your friends even if they are not in the same room by using Steam's Remote Play Together feature. This way you can run the game on your computer and invite friends online to join the co-op multiplayer SUPERVERSE.
We proudly present Soko, fast and agile, but still well armed and powerful, state of the art spacecraft.
Keyboard controls extended
We have extended the keyboard controls scheme with additional keys for easier playing on some setups:
SPACE key can be used for firing from the primary weapon, in addition to CTRL and ENTER.
SHIFT key can be used for firing from the secondary weapon, besides ALT.
PAUSE and ESC keys can pause the game, enter the in-game menu, or be used to navigate back in the menus.
Other updates
Update also brings improved stability and minor game balance changes.
FMOD Studio sound system has been updated to the latest version, which solves several crashes and bugs. This should resolve the issue where the game sounds went silent suddenly, but music and voices could still be heard. Please let us know if you experience such a situation again.

SBM Commentary: Arriving just in time for Bitmas 2019... Battle Ball is here in our biggest update yet! With a game mode like this, pairing it up with Squad Chat is critical to your team's success. We encourage all of you Pilots to discover new competitive strategies in all our current arenas! Remember, team work is everything in this mode... don't forget to Pass, Shoot (from far away if you're good enough!) and Dunk the Battle Ball! Do you know a goalie with a golden glove? Guard that goal carefully and see you in the arena!
Battle Ball!
- Play Battle Ball, our newest strategic game mode, in 3v3 or 4v4 Squads! - Work together closely to Shoot, Pass, Intercept and even Dunk the Battle Ball (if you dare!) - Use each map's unique terrain for tricky 'bounce' and 'bank' skill shots - Each team's power hoop is located on opposite ends of each mapādefend them wisely! (No, you can't score in your own goal!) - Picking up the Battle Ball instantly replaces your secondary and functions similarly to a frag grenade (Hold-Release; longer Hold for maximum range and throw velocity) - Score 3 Goals OR have the most goals in 3 minutes to win! - Tied scores initiate a one minute overtime! - Dropping the Battle Ball for more than 5s destabilizes its core causing a massively deadly explosion! - The Battle Ball respawns in 10s after every Goal or Battle Ball explosion - NEW Battle Ball Visual and Sound FX! SBM Commentary: The Battle Ball can pass through vines and light bridges on Temple, Moon and Snow Base and we CERTAINLY had an explosive time trying some of these strats! Pro Tip: The Battle Ball remembers "last touch" characteristics, so if you're going for the dunk and get blown to bits in the right direction you may yet score a GOOOAL!
Squad Chat
- Start a Squad Chat by creating a squad or joining another Pilot's squad in the home screen! - Squad Chat channel and alerts appear in the home screen (upper left!) - Squad Chat history is preserved with time stamp information (as long as the squad exists) - Use Emojis with Squad Chat! SBM Commentary: Squad Chat is finally here! We encourage all of our Pilots to socialize and form strategies between games, especially as we develop even more competitive game modes!
Feature Updates
- NEW Ball Cam! Spectators can follow the action and lock in on the Battle Ball "Ball Cam" - NEW Battle Ball Game Mode in-game XP to count towards Ultimate charge - NEW "Per Mode" Scoreboards that contain specific information for Team Deathmatch, Fuel Frenzy, Battle Ball and future game modes! - NEW XP Bonuses towards leveling up your Pilots! - First Win of the Day - Squad Bonus - Create your own Battle Ball matches and tournaments in Custom Matches - Emojis are now available to use at the End of Round screen - (Mobile) New "How to Play" static tutorial during boot-up and home screen - Additional language support for German, French and Italian (more options and languages coming soon) - Improved and polished various Map and Pilot Visual FX
SBM Commentary: We have SO MUCH MORE in store for Bitmas so stay tuned for special announcements, events, and incredible stocking stuffers from all of us at Super Bit Machine. Thank YOU so much and Happy Holidays!
