Is that a tingling in my ears? Has Kevan Brighting’s soothing voice returned to comfort my lobes? The Stanley Parable‘s narrator is back in a new trailer, and he’s got some concerning news regarding the development of the upcoming Ultra Deluxe edition. Reluctantly, regrettably, and due to popular demand, it appears the labyrinthine adventure’s second remake won’t be launching as planned this year.

Total War: WARHAMMER II - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

A demon-possessed Dark Elf and a legendary Skaven assassin will face off in the next Total War: Warhammer II DLC in December, developers Creative Assembly announced today. The Shadow & The Blade is one of their smaller ‘Legendary Lords Pack’ DLCs, adding two new factions with unique leaders, options, and units. Being possessed by a demon brings the possibility of great power, at a cost, while master assassins know people with some especially dirty tricks. Twarhammer 2 players who don’t buy this will still get shiny newness, with new units and shorter waits during enemy turns due in the patch coming alongside it.

The biggest names in platforming used to live only on console, but it’s on PC now that the genre is thriving. Below you’ll find a collection of the very best platform games on PC – including puzzle platformers, physics platformers, platformers with roguelike elements, and platformers about absolutely nothing but pixel-perfect jumping.

What’s this? Another visit from your deals herald today? I do apologise, I really do, but I simply must tell you about this Asus ROG Strix gaming laptop deal I’ve found, because this Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti powered gaming machine is really quite a steal in Best Buy’s Black Friday sale. Normally $1400, the Asus ROG Strix G731GU-BI7N9 is now down to a very sweet $899.

Beast Agenda 2030 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Natalie Clayton)

Like a malignant sea-god rising from the deep, Beast Agenda 2030 has surfaced its terrible, final form. It’s not unspeakable horror or unending torment being brought to the surface by Ouch Giver Games, though, but a procedural playground of skating, hacking, stealth and playful gadgetry. After two years in early access, Beast Agenda 2030 is out today, with a big 1.0 update tidying up the streets and bringing the squid-stomping story to completion.

Yes, it looks like a long-buried Flash game. That’s a concession you’ll have to make if you wanna do sick skate tricks off an octopus’s head.

The time to buy one of our [cms-block] or [cms-block] champions is upon us, readers, as this year’s Black Friday deals bonanza is well and truly underway. There are currently loads of great Black Friday mice and keyboard deals available right now, with many of them at all-time low prices, too, meaning there really is no time like the present to snap one up.

Captain Price, as played by former Hollyoaks serial killer Barry Sloane, is a figure of gruff warmth. He imbues the new Modern Warfare with the sozzled energy of an uncle on Boxing Day, eyes smiling even as bluster falls from his mouth. We get dirty, he mumbles, and the world stays clean. Nobody wants to ask if that means Uncle Baz has soiled himself.

Modern Warfare was marketed with that phrase: we get dirty, the world stays clean. But what does it mean, actually?

If you’ve been checking out this week’s Steam Autumn Sale, you might have noticed one particular bargain: the Steam Controller, Valve’s bizarre owl-eyed gamepad, had its price slashed by a whopping 90%. Unfortunately, there’s a good reason for that – they’re the last Steam Controllers that’ll ever be released. If you haven’t grabbed by one now, that’s it. Tough luck. The Steam Controller’s death heralds the final end of Valve’s “Steam Machines” efforts to bring Steam to the sofa. Being neck-deep in VR, they haven’t quite given up on hardware entirely – but the dream of a PC for the living room seems well and truly dead, for now.

Beat Saber - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

The Oculus lords at Facebook have bought Beat Games, the makers of VR breakout hit Beat Saber. That’s the rhythm game where you gogg up to slash through blocks representing beats of a song – Guitar Hero meets Star Trek in cyberspace. Y’know, one of the games that people recommend a lot as a getaway to VR. That one. It’s Facebook’s. Beat Games say they’ll continue to update and support Beat Saber on all its current cybergoggles, not just Oculus sets, though it’s less clear what the acquisition might mean for any future games – or for Beat Saber mods.
