The new season in Teamfight Tactics is in full swing and another TFT patch just dropped. That means new TFT comps can rise up and dominate your opponents. If you’ve not played TFT in a while, there’s a whole bunch of brand new champions and items. Putting them all together in one coherent TFT comp might be a little trickier as you’ve now got to contend with elements, as well as the fact that everything is new again. With the latest patch, there has already been a big Light surge in the meta, so we’ll be bringing you the tips you need to make the best TFT comps for patch 9.23.

Grandmaster difficulty in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order offers players the greatest amount of challenge in an already punishing game. Enemies hit harder, parry windows are smaller, and you’ll need to know the game intimately in order to complete the game without dying an inordinate number of times along the way. Luckily, I do> know the game intimately, and I’ve put together the below Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Grandmaster guide to help those who are struggling to beat the game on this hardest difficulty level.

Like a sudden smattering of doves, John Woo Presents: Stranglehold has been given fresh life on GOG today. John Woo’s kinda-sorta 2007 sequel to 1992’s Hard Boiled, Stranglehold is a videogame action flick that gunned to be one of Woo’s best. It’s got Chow Yun-fat diving through the air in slow motion (sorry, “Tequila Time”), pistols akimbo. It’s got dozens of faceless goons to murder, levels packed with pillars bursting like dust-filled balloons. There are doves! Hundreds and thousands of doves! That’s all you need, right?

Someone confirm that for me. Please. I’ve never seen a Woo film.

As we near December, those who are still playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be looking to jump into the upcoming raids. These are four-player missions where cooperation is key to overcoming the challenges ahead. The first raid is called “Project Titan” and will challenge players to fight big drones, so they’ll need to have the best gear they can get. There’s not a lot of information about the raids available so far, but we’ve gathered what there is below.

Battleborn - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

Gearbox Software’s 2016 flop of an FPS Battleborn now has a clear path to its death. Publishers 2K announced plans to shut down the multi-hyphenate hero shooter’s servers in January 2021, rendering the game fully unplayable – singleplayer and all. Battleborn’s competitive multiplayer side went free-to-play in June 2017 but the game is now barely played. This is not surprising. You can still download it and have a go, if you are curious about what Gearbox were up to before Borderlands 3.

Riot love tinkering with Teamfight Tactics but recent TFT patch notes have been eye-watering. Gone are the likes of Akali and Swain. Sayonara Yordles, we hardly knew ye! It’s a whole new game and frankly, it’s very unnerving. We’ve kept Graves and Twisted Fate up there because they’re the best of bros and should never be forgotten. Thankfully the TFT patch notes [9.23] aren’t as stressful as read, but they’re still full of changes.

Shenmue III - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Matthew Castle)

Nothing better captures the magic of Shenmue III than its save files. On one line, the current date and time; above it, the date and time this particular save will whisk you back to. Because that s what Shenmue is: time travel. The opportunity to visit a very specific moment in history. In the case of Shenmue III, China in the spring of 1987. Of course, it s time travel that doesn t fret about the butterfly effect – you spend most of your trip kicking in groins in a way that will surely curtail a few family lineages.

But this sequel is time travel of a second kind, too: a design throwback to 1999, when Shenmue was the cutting edge of blockbuster game development; then the most expensive game of all time, and one that remained so cherished that it raised 6.3 million dollars in a Kickstarter campaign. That’s 6.3 million dollars worth of permission to not change a thing, and so it has largely turned out. Does the ageing design hold up and can it make converts 20 years on? Here’s wot I think.
