Respectably purple spy game Sigma Theory: Global Cold War was succesful last night in extracting a full release from the clutches of the early access hell slog. The futuristic cold war strategy game is out now.

Batten down the hatches, folks, because the flurry of dark, black (and varying shades of black) Friday-based deals is upon us. That’s right. Despite there being an entire week before the storm that is Black Friday hits our shores, the shop barons just can’t help themselves. It’s a deals frenzy out there, whether you’re looking at hardware or just a simple discount on a game you’ve been waiting to play. But fear not, because your deals herald has braved the mad, raving masses to bring you the best PC gaming deals of the week in a nice tasty, bite-sized package. Like previous weeks, I’m just focusing on game deals in this round-up, as there are simply too many hardware deals to fit in here. Instead, I’ve linked to separate pages for those, to help make things a bit easier.

Warframe - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Natalie Clayton)

Empyrean will add space battles to third-person slice ’em up Warframe. We’ve known that for good while now. But where do a rag-tag band of high-concept fashion ninjas get their hands on a massive spaceship anyway? Incoming free update Rising Tides answers that question, preparing for the galactic warfare to come by setting loot-hungry players loose across the solar system in a stellar smash n’ grab for starship parts.

Riot love tinkering with Teamfight Tactics but recent TFT patch notes have been eye-watering. Gone are the likes of Akali and Swain. Sayonara Yordles, we hardly knew ye! It’s a whole new game and frankly, it’s very unnerving. We’ve kept Graves and Twisted Fate up there because they’re the best of bros and should never be forgotten. Thankfully the TFT patch notes [9.23] aren’t as stressful as read, but they’re still full of changes.

The latest free game Epic are footing the bill for to entice people onto their store is Bad North, 2018’s real-time tactics game about handfuls of units defending pretty wee islands against Viking invaders. It’s nice! It has a roguelikelike edge too, with units carrying over on our trip across the procedurally-generated islands of the archipelago. For free, mate, get in.

With another patch for Teamfight Tactics comes more changes to the TFT traits. This time it’s mostly been affecting the origins rather than the classes, but Wardens did get a significant boost. We’ve updated all of the TFT origins and classes to reflect the latest patch – [9.23].

The most recent changes to the TFT tiers and stats have made some changes to the champions since their upheaval a few weeks ago. That said, it seems they’re playing around with making Ocean and Wardens a little more viable, while at the same time nerfing some much-needed champions that were just too good. Below is the TFT set 2 tier list with all the up-to-date stats.

Barotrauma - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Matt Cox)

There is now a too big monster in Barotrauma. It lurches at you from the depths, headbutting your submarine with its colossal and rotten flesh. This flesh then disintegrates, unleashing a horde of what I’m inclined to believe are human-sized parasitic worms. The scariest part is that your best friend might be egging the worms on.

Barotrauma is a multiplayer game about piloting a submarine around Europa, except one of your party might be trying to get everyone killed. Last night’s update added that wormy leviathan, a big new submarine, and six new traitor missions. It also lets you get up to more electrical DIY. I doubt the DIY will be enough to save you from all the new horrors I haven’t mentioned, but it might well help you drown your pal Dan in the locker room.
