[Dev Blog] Backstory - The Cathedral Ruins


The Cathedral Ruins
The Cathedral Ruins is like the Misty Forest, a building from another dimension.
In the past, it was a huge and splendid cathedral, but one day, meteorites fell, leaving most of it crumbled. The great wizard, Koschei knew that the meteorites contained strange power and began to build a lab and labyrinth in the basement of the Cathedral.

Since then, people have often disappeared from the surrounding villages and the Misty Forest, and monsters have been witnessed around the Cathedral. What's Koschei doing?

The Great Koschei

Koschei was once a magnificent wizard. He acquired a pagan scripture by chance and was fascinated by the pagan 'Goddess of Wealth' and its power. This was when Koschei began to serve the 'Goddess of Wealth' and sacrifice many people. He eventually abandoned humanity and became Lich, an immortal.

Koschei has a good command of forbidden magic, uses his skills to weaken enemies and summons 'Abominations'. Also, be aware that the summoned Abomination will use the instant-kill skill that will wipe out all Corps Crew if they turn into the Egg of Calamity!


Black Goat

In return for devotion and loyalty to the Goddess of Wealth, Koschei is now able to summon Black Goats, the children of the Goddess.

Black Goats use long tentacles to drag Corps Crew and strike a powerful attack on the target. They are one of the hardest enemies to deal with, as they paralyze a wide range of targets and regain health through the lifesteal skill.


Wraith

Wraiths are made of human bodies and absorb soul energy from every life they see. The collected soul energy is transmitted to Koschei, which leads him to live an immortal life.
Wraiths are debuff specific monsters that can continuously reduce Corps Crew's MP or replace health and buffs/debuffs with them.


Goddess of Wealth

Koschei succeded in summoning the avatar of the Goddess of Wealth through the meteorites in the cathedral.
She is the goddess who takes control of an otherworldly dimension. When facing foes, she creates Black Goats or deals strong damages with her tentacles. She lost some of her power when she was summoned to this dimension, be careful with her skills... it can lead to the annihilation of entire Corps Crew.

Abomination, a golem built with corpses, Scavenger which eats away the remaining bodies after Koschei's experiments, and Corpse Spider which heals the friendly forces; Koschei created most of these monsters in the cathedral borrowing the power of the goddess.


The Followers
There are additional monsters that can be found in all regions. As we mentioned in the previous post, they are religious fanatics so-called the Followers of God. They destroy all the living things in sight to steal life energy. Their main goal is to awaken an otherworldly god asleep in the Misty Forest.
They were human beings in the past, but they twisted to monstrous look as they repeat doing evil. They have webbed hands and faces resembling a fish behind their masks!

Executioner Shotel/Bow

Executioners specialize in executing enemies. They're threatening monsters carrying shotels or bows and can deal powerful blows to your Corps Crew.

Collector

They're performing the role of collecting life energy. They also can utilize the collected life energy to give debuff effects like bleeding, silence, stun to interrupt enemies and protect their side.

Torch

They are fire wizards who are in charge of incinerating dead bodies after collecting life energy. They can increase the attack power of friendly forces dramatically and mainly use ranged fire attacks.

We hope all the captains could safely complete the expedition to Cathedral Ruins.

Everyone's favorite off-kilter nurse Kiriko will be brought to life by Sakura Miko!


Every woman's enemy, notorious thigh-lover NoName will be voiced by the man himself, Fujiwara Hikaru AKA Hono!


??? - A new character will be voiced by Kadowaki Mai, famous for her role as Illya in the Fate series!


??? - A second new character will be voiced by Yoshida Seiko, who you already know as the voice of Suguri! Who could it be...


??? - A third new character, codename "Mama", will be voiced by Izawa Shiori! Look forward to her appearance!

Neko Ghost, Jump! - Burgos Games
There's not much to say other than we actually weren't planning on releasing the demo this early.

However, I was messing around with Steamworks and trying to figure out the "Download Demo" button position, and a few other things and one thing led to another and I hit the "Release" button on my end.

Done story. Now download it and have some fun! Tell all your friends and family to check it out as well!



Animal Friends Adventure - Deverydoo
Hello everyone. I am so sorry it's been a long time since the last update. Been working with an actual publisher for console and have neglected the PC side too long.

  • Fixed the Save file. I misplaced a variable and it never loaded your saved game file. This is a huge blunder. Sorry it took so long to get this one.
  • Lots of levels were redesigned to be less annoying.
  • The Sliding mechanism works a whole lot better now. Instead of guessing how long the slide takes I just put a trigger where it should end.
  • I took out almost all of the sliding and bouncing over water. Now there's some challenging jump puzzles instead.
  • Interface is more uniform. Fonts should all be the same now.
  • Lots of other things have been added and fixed. I just cannot remember them all.


Anyway, please drop us some happy ratings. More fixes are on the way now that we're wrapping up with the publisher.
RealFlight 8 - KnifeEdgeS&C
Going all the way back to RealFlight G2, RealFlight's multiplayer feature has always been sequestered by major version. Users with G3 cannot join a G4 session, RF6 users cannot join a G5 session, etc.

If you have RealFlight 7 or later, that is no longer the case! We merged the RF7, RF8, & RF9 multiplayer worlds such that they can all see and join each other's sessions.

New public versions 8.00.056 and 9.00.022 are available for RF8 & RF9, respectively. You must download them to participate in multiplayer.

RF7 does not require an update; RF7 users will be involved automatically.

Older versions of RealFlight (RF6 and earlier) will continue to work as they always have.

Hi there!

Bashed.OS has been recently quiet, as I'm working on a new project, but seeming enough, I feel it's update time!

Bashed.OS will be having another game built into it. A prologue! And it's FREE!

The prologue is still in early development, and I have plans for it. It will be another mode to play, and is optional. And it unlocked whenever the game is started. So, it's not at all a worry!

The project is still in works, as it just started while writing this! It's inspiration, you can join my Discord for news, and ask questions! The original Bashed.OS game will be updated as well.

Such as a major graphic update! This is something I wanted to do for a bit, you'll see a step above it! Thankfully, it's simple for the players! Thank you for the time!

RealFlight 9.5S - deshan
We are pleased to announce that RealFlight version 9.00.022 is now available as a free public release for all versions of the software (DVD, Tower Hobbies Digital, and Steam)!

Highlights include a brand-new Osprey model and a big multiplayer change! (See this post for more details.) We also added new aircraft variants set up with more pro-level functionality to take advantage of the broad InterLink DX feature set. Fly them, enjoy them, and study them so you can create your own!

  • New vehicle: E-flite V-22 Osprey VTOL
  • Multiplayer is now merged with sessions and players from RealFlight 7 and RealFlight 8
  • Added 11 new "InterLink DX" aircraft variants configured for separate rates. Aileron, elevator, and rudder rates are each controlled by a separate switch. (Any controller with enough input channels can utilize this; in practice that mostly means the InterLink DX.)
  • One of the new "InterLink DX" aircraft variants is also configured for triple rates. Each rate switch (aileron, elevator, & rudder) has low, medium, and high rate values.
  • Increased the number of vehicle receiver channels from 12 to 15. This allows all 15 InterLink DX channels to be used simultaneously on a single vehicle.

How to Get It

DVD and Tower Hobbies Digital versions
Start the RealFlight Launcher. The option to update will appear below the usual "Run RealFlight" button.

Steam version
You can trigger the update by completely restarting Steam. Right click the Steam icon in your system tray and select Exit. Once everything closes, run Steam again, and the update should complete.
