WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes - barjed
Heya folks,

we're back with the promised new Roadmap for the rest of this year. Exciting FREE changes are coming to Warsaw - all based on your feedback!

NEW ROADMAP
New free content!

NOVEMBER - UPDATE "RADOSŁAW"

+ NEW CONTENT - Heavy German Reinforcements - a new Boss

+ NEW FEATURE - Combat Objectives

Complete optional Battle Objectives for additional rewards! Each battle gets a fresh set of objectives for a completely different experience and increased variety. In the future Battle Objectives will seamlessly merge with the upcoming Character Progression Overhaul, forming a deeper, more engaging system.

+ NEW FEATURE - Codex Overhaul

Total refresh of the way the Codex is presented. Check all unlocked things at a glance and easily track enemies, weapons, and characters that you have not met yet. Check the skills and stats of weapons and enemies. Read all the characters epilogues you have already seen and even check the requirements of the elusive personal missions!

DECEMBER - UPDATE "ŻMIJA"

+ NEW FEATURE - Character Progression Overhaul

Out with the old, in with the new. Characters now earn Experience Points for their achievements which can be used to acquire new skills and perks. XP is earned through Missions, Combat Objectives, Narrative Events, and more. Perks are added to the progression tree which let you choose passive attribute bonuses for your characters. Skills in the progression tree are no longer random and now allow for more choices and player agency.

Both updates will add more bug fixes, quality of life features and other polishing stuff.

Additional goodies are also planned for the near future!
Interstellar Rift - Sentir342
BUG FIXES
  • fixed ships sometimes spawning inside rifts (causing them to immediately rift back) by spawning them at least 500 and up to 1000 meters away from a rift

  • fixed a case where an old failing rift could theoretically cause a new rift attempt to fail
NOTES
  • servers only need to be updated if they want to take advantage of the rifting fixes

  • please report failed rifts or duplicated ships on our Discord or on the bug reporting subforum, and include at least the following details:
    • what server you were on
    • the name of your ship
    • the system you were rifting from
    • the system you were rifting to

They Can't Stop All Of Us - Blake Gillman
Not seeing the update?
Steam doesn't usually inform the player right away of the update, they tend to wait until you restart your Steam client or until a bit later after the update has come out. So if you want to get the update right away you can do the following:
  • Right-click the game in your library and select properties
  • Go to "Local Files" and click "Verify integrity of game files"
  • The game should immediately start updating!

Fixes
  • Fixed fog showing up as attacker on AvD when using the first person addon, this made the map too covered in fog to see anything as attacker

Community Announcements - Cold War Game

The T-55 is one of the long-livers of Soviet tanks engineering.
It was developed as an ideal main battle tank for war in Europe with the possible use of tactical nuclear weapons. T-54 series served as a basis for the T-55 tank. Overall more than 50,000 different modernized modifications of T-55 tank were produced in the Soviet Union between 1958 and 1979.

Renewed in 1962 modification T-55A became the world's first serial production tank equipped with an automatic NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection system. Its improved over T-55 NBC system offered protection against the blast of a nuclear explosion, fast neutrons and even gamma radiation.

Since the 1960s, various modifications of the T-55 were widely exported to Soviet allies and then extensively used in dozens of armed conflicts. Many of them are still in service with the armies of many countries. High popularity of the T-55 tank is due to its good tactical and technical characteristics, reliability, ease of repairs and operation, and ease of modification.

Miniverse Wars Alpha - Bellosoft
Hi everyone,

This week we have continued the implementation of new special effects to give you cool visual feedback about what's happening while you play.

If one of your planets has been conquered by a pirate ship, this will sign you need to keep alert:

When your asteroid and nebula resources have been depleted, they will look like this:

And the coloniser ray will indicate you are successfully colonising a new planet!

Apart from the effects above, we have also added images to our How to Play panel and think it looks much nicer now.

Let us know what you think!

Thanks for reading.
Cooking Simulator - aleksander.lusina

Hi Chefs!

The dev team is hard at work to constantly improve Cooking Simulator. Today we want to shed some light on things that we are up to and when to expect them.

This is why we're very excited to present to you the Cooking Simulator Roadmap. First in a series of announcements spotlighting features and content currently under development. It's also a way of letting you know when to expect new content and important messages.

THE ROADMAP

Today's spotlight is on two major content updates coming to the game for FREE in the next few weeks! But before you scroll down to learn the details, mark down 6th of December in your calendars. That's the date of our next big announcement!

- What about features that aren't on the list? Does this mean you aren't working on anything else? - Rest assured, we're exploring all kinds of different topics - from bugfixing, through optimisation, new content, new game modes to entirely new ways to experience Cooking Simulator. What we decide to share through the roadmap are features that we can put a specific timeframe on. We don't want to tease you too much ;)

MODERN KITCHEN

Many of you have spent hours upon hours in Cooking Simulator's kitchen and you need a change - we hear you! Staying in one place for too long can have it's toll. So on 21st of November we'll introduce a new location to hang out and cook all that delicious food.

Tired of the same old brick walls and all the noise coming from the streets? Try the Modern Kitchen - a new fancy place located in a luxury skyscraper, detached from the racket of the city. Modern Kitchen will become available in career and sandbox modes (requires starting a new game) as a FREE update to the game.

LEADERBOARD CHALLENGE

Ever wanted to prove that you are the best chef around? Well, soon you will be able to! Pick an order from all the dishes available in the game and take to the kitchen. No distractions, just one simple goal - serve the best dish you can, the fastest you can.

Based on this performance, the game will calculate your score and place you on a leaderboard. Each recipe will have its own leaderboard. Become an expert in one or master them all. Rivalry begins on 4th of December with a FREE update to the game.

SECRET ANNOUNCEMENT

But that's not all! We have another very important announcement coming for you on December the 6th. Be sure to mark down that date and visit our community page on Steam. We won't tease what we have in store for you - don't want to spoil the surprise, you'll have to be patient. But feel free to speculate in comments, on the forums and on our Discord: https://discord.gg/cookingsimulator

Also be sure to let us know what you think about the upcoming features and this format of revealing them!

Hope you'll have a great time with the new content!

What is EVE Aether Wars
EVE Aether Wars is the next iteration of our ground-breaking project to demonstrate what exciting and compelling gameplay experiences can look and feel like on a huge scale, helping the EVE Online community to break their own World Record for the most concurrent players simultaneously involved in a single multiplayer PvP video game battle.

When will EVE Aether Wars be available?
EVE Aether Wars will happen on the 23 November 2019 at 20:00 UTC, where we aim to beat CCP's own World Record of the most concurrent players simultaneously involved in a single multiplayer PvP video game battle.

Prior to the world record attempt, we have a couple of stress tests where we want to get as many players as possible into EVE Aether Wars so that we can improve the experience for players, in terms of both performance and gameplay, prior to the big event.

When are the stress tests?
Our two stress tests are as follows:
- Public Stress Test 1 – Saturday 9 November 2019, 19:00 UTC [DONE]
- Public Stress Test 2 – Saturday 16 November 2019, 19:00 UTC

When is the World Record attempt?
The World Record attempt is on Saturday 23 November 2019 at 20:00 UTC.

How can I play and download EVE Aether Wars
You can download the game from the EVE: Aether Wars Steam Page now.

How much is EVE Aether Wars?
EVE Aether Wars: Phase Three is a free to download from Steam, available now.

Can I play the game now?
No, but we like your enthusiasm! You can open up the game but you will get a page with a timer counting down to the next play session.

Why stress tests?
We want to ensure that we are fully prepared to take on this mammoth challenge. So, in partnership with Hadean, Microsoft and Steam, we are running stress tests to make sure that our tech is fully ready for 23 November.

What is EVE Aether Wars?
This is the third phase of EVE Aether Wars.

EVE Aether Wars: Phase One was the multiplayer deathmatch experience that took place in March at GDC 2019. The battle involved a huge 14,274 ships participating on the day, which consisted of 3,852 real players joined by AI-connected clients!

EVE Aether Wars: Phase Two took place in August at Gamescom 2019. This was built by a small team at CCP in only a few weeks which resulted in over 5,000 players experiencing a much better, large-scale game. We smoothed out the experience by pushing the server tick rate to 30Hz and made this far more affordable by refactoring to reduce the increased bandwidth by a factor of 100.

Our goal with EVE Aether Wars: Phase Three is to utilize all the learnings we’ve taken from the previous stages and help the EVE community smash their own existing World Record for the most concurrent players simultaneously involved in a single multiplayer PvP video game battle.

What type of game is EVE Aether Wars?
EVE Aether Wars is a 10,000 player battle to take control of the resources of New Eden’s most hazardous region, the mysterious Abyssal Deadspace.

Can I stream the EVE Aether Wars Event?
Yes! In fact, we encourage you to stream it! Please use #EVEAetherWars when streaming, so you can join the other fans livestreaming the event.

Which platforms does EVE Aether Wars support?
EVE Aether Wars is only available on Windows PC.

What technical specs are required to play EVE Aether Wars?
We have separated our technical requirements into the absolute minimum to play and those we recommend for the best experience.

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel i5
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 4GB VRAM or AMD Radeon 4GB VRAM

World War 3 - [F51] Rozmo
Hello Soldiers,

As we've written in our last week's Weekly Report, we're now accepting submissions for our Breakthrough Trailer. We’ll create a montage of best clips we get and publish it alongside our internal Breakthrough trailer when the game mode is available for everyone.

Clips that make it into the trailer will be awarded World War 3 PC Steam keys, so there’s something to work for – and it’s so easy! Below you'll find the details on how to correctly send your videos.

Community Trailer Submission Details
Length

If you don’t want us to chop up your footage, keep the clips to as short as possible. If you can show what happened in 5 seconds, that would be the best. We realize sometimes the action needs some more time, but we want to include as many creators as possible.

Quality

Custom .ini settings and Low Quality settings will impact the chance of your submission to be included. It doesn’t mean there’s no chance, especially if the action is awesome, but try to make your footage look as good as possible.

Resolution

We’ll be taking footage with minimum resolution of 1080p, higher obviously preferable. Again, if you have some epic 10-man kill with artillery and you play 720p – send it in, just be aware of this limitation.

Upload

The best way to get the files to us will be to upload them to an online hosting service and send us an email with “Breakthrough Community Trailer” in the topic and links to the files in the message. The contest email address is contests@worldwar3.com. In the case of streaming footage, download it and do the same.

Please, don’t send us the files directly, there are limits to our inbox size and we will ignore those emails!

Kofi Quest - lofturstudio

What’s up? In Loftur Studio we’re still working tirelessly in the development of Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD. The past few months have been a great opportunity to improve the product a great deal, as well as to lay the foundations for our future plans of launching the game for Nintendo Switch.

Important! Development updates 2019

  • Optimization. We’ve made the preliminary revisions aimed at the future port to Nintendo Switch, such as a first layer of optimization (pretty important), necessary changes in the internal structure of the game and first steps in controller handling (keep in mind that this game was originally designed to be played with a keyboard and mouse, so there’s work to be done, and we want to do it right).

  • Kickstarter stretch goals. As promised in the stretch goals, we’ve developed new minigames and, in addition, we’ve worked in the secret combat units. On top of the playable characters you’ll be able to find in the main story, there will be some secret, optional ones, and they will all have their own unique narrative context.

  • Important improvements in the game experience. Thanks to the Kickstarter backers giving us more development time, we’ve taken the opportunity to implement new features that improve the game experience, taking on some design parts that could be improved from another angle and polishing content. For some necessary improvements we’ve rewrite important segments of the code from scratch. We've invested time, but we're now more solid and really excited about the results.

  • Bug correction. As we always say, there’s very few of us in the team and it’s hard to control such a big project. The bug correction is a constant fight and we’ve made incredible progress in it, although it’ll remain something we keep working on before, during and after launch.

The final calendar

At this point, we’re going to present our final plan for development and launch. With all the changes this project has been through and how much it’s evolved along its several years of development, we’ve discussed what’d be the launch period where we can guarantee the 1.0 version that we want to offer you. We also have to prepare a better advertising campaign for all those press professionals who want to give our game a try.

Therefore, the final calendar will be as follows:

After many twists and turns and improvements, we’re finally satisfied with the result and ready to stop lengthening the project, but we need more time to finish and review all the changes done over this year with all the guarantees.

We also want to prepare some good press materials. After the Kickstarter campaign, we had several conversations with publishers interested in the game, and that meant changes in schedule and content, but we eventually reached no agreements and have decided to go independently.

The next 28th of November we’ll publish a backers-only update with some gameplay footage. In other platforms, we’ll publish more news in December.

We keep working.

Cheers,

Loftur Studio Team
