Riot love tinkering with Teamfight Tactics but the latest TFT patch notes are eye-watering. Gone are the likes of Akali and Swain. Sayonara Yordles, we hardly knew ye! It’s a whole new game and frankly, it’s very unnerving. We’ve kept Graves and Twisted Fate up there because they’re the best of bros and should never be forgotten. So proceed then to the patch notes and see just how different TFT is now.

Resident Overwatch Medic Mercy has always looked a little more superhero than surgeon. That’s fair, of course – she spends far more time in warzones than the ward. But I doubt skin-tight latex is the sort of thing you’d wear to fill out perscription slips. This week Blizzard kicked off the Mercy Recall Challenge, letting players earn a more professional skin for Dr Angela Zeigel by chalking up victories on the battlefield.

You know what they say – it takes nine counts of criminal malpractice to make a doctor.

If you’re a little new to Teamfight Tactics, TFT for short, then you may be a little confused as to how players are accumulating gold, and what all the different pieces of the user interface actually mean. It’s gone through a few changes in a recent patch and there are some very useful tools that you’d probably not be aware of.

Bee Simulator - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Sin Vega)

I flew into a cobweb to see what would happen. There was a game in a magazine I had as a kid, you see, where you played as a spider. And if you caught a bee, you had to cut it loose in a panic before it could hurt you or damage your web. Here though, albeit seen from the other point of view, it’s a lot less scary. You get a long time limit while a presumably hungover spider slowly spirals toward you, during which you have to click while a fluctuating bar is in the green. Do this three times and you escape. Fail, and… well, you escape, but you’re dizzy for a minute.

Glancing down at the bee ring on my finger as I clicked away in the web, I began to realise that perhaps – bee fan though I was – I wasn’t quite who Bee Simulator was aimed at.

What is it with Teamfight Tactics and big updates? The 9.22 patch overhauled the game in such a way that it’s now a completely different game. New champions, item recipes, and even adding a fourth row. If you’ve been playing the game for months, this is likely to be a massive headache, starting again from scratch, with new faces to have to remember. With the aim to soften the blow, we’ve updated our guides to explain everything about TFT Set 2.

A new season in Teamfight Tactics means that we’ve somehow got a whole bunch of brand new champions and items. Putting them all together in one coherent TFT comp might be a little trickier as you’ve now got to contend with elements, as well as the fact that everything is new again. So with the new beginning, we thought we’d once again bring you the TFT best comps list for the current patch – 9.22.

Blizzard have launched Hearthstone‘s new Battlegrounds mode into open beta for everyone, following a week of early access for the moneybags. Though the name “Battlegrounds” suggests battle royale, this mode is following a newer craze, Auto Chess. Like the Dota 2 mode and those it inspired, players build and upgrade an army of units then send them into battles against a rotating lineup of other players’ armies. Except this time it’s with Hearthstone cards rather then wee MOBA wizards.

Stardew Valley is about to reap a bountiful harvest. It’s been a long dry spell for farmers across the valley, but creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s massive update 1.4 is just about ready for market. From fishponds to finance everything in between, nary a grain of corn will be overlooked when Stardew’s big free update lands on November 26th.

Hey, you, do you have the procedurally-generated treasures of Strangethink Software safely downloaded and ready to go? No? Then grab them now, because they’re great and Strangethink will soon remove the downloads. They previously pulled their older games, leaving only Secret Habitat, Joy Exhibition, Mystery Tapes, and These Monsters left until these too fade. That’s one game where you explore art galleries, one where you paint your own art using weird sprayguns with unpredictable effects, one where VHS tapes change the world around you, and one exploring a monster museum. Lovely stuff. Don’t miss out.

LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (RPS)

A new hope. After two boring-but-fine Star Wars: Battlefront games, we’re now on the verge of EA’s third swing of the lightsaber with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. There are reasons to think it might be more interesting than early trailers suggested, after writers such as our own Matt came back from a recent preview event with his pockets filled with (qualified) comparisons to Sekiro.

What are the chances that it will live up to the very best Star Wars games to grace the PC, however? Here are our picks for the company Fallen Order should aspire to keep.
